I have been to this restaurant 4 times already.Recommended food:1) for entree, the pan fried foie gras is as good as the super expensive 5 star restaurant. good serving size and comes with caramelized apple. very good!2) for main course, the best is the angus beef and the duck breast.3) for dessert, i think the apple crumble is the best i have EVER had. other ones like the molten chocolate cake is also very good.Some other points about the Restaurant you should be aware of1) it is sometimes bett

Recommended food:

Some other points about the Restaurant you should be aware of

1) it is sometimes better to book main course in advance, last time i went, 1/3 of the main course is already sold out including the steak and some of the seafood. however, i think this is positive - it means the restaurant food is fresh
2) it is very noisy and quite crowded in this restaurant, not necessarily good for romantic 2 person dinner
3) there is no corkage at this restaurant, you can bring as much wine as you like!

8 of us went for a girlfriends B'day dinner. all in all, we tried half o the menu rom entree to dessert. First of all, there's a great variety to choose from.
we ordered the escargot, the tuna with mango, and the beef; tuna and mango was nothing spectacular, but the tuna was fresh, portion a little too small. The sauce ofthe escargot and beef was perfect, especially the sauce that goes with the escargot.
As for the main, forgot what we ordered, but you should definitely order the pastry foie gras, twas yummy and the black fungal angel hair was good too. Game hen had a taste of its own, but not as stunning as the previous two dishes.
DESSERTS!!
Souffle was brilliant.
The chocolat fondant..... standard, i think y friends say
But its really worth a dine !!

(2) 餐湯:
女朋友叫左個mushroom soup, 好多mushroom蓉, 味道不夠搶, 但口感好豐富.
而我就叫左個龍蝦湯, 龍蝦味過濃, 濃得來有澀味. 有點失望.
(食Main course前有一隻手指公咁大既梨味雪巴洗一洗口, 唔錯唔錯!)

(3) Main Course:
香煎鴨肶 - 伴豆蓉! 豆蓉略心太甜且太[漏], 鴨皮焗得很脆像炸香了才焗. 鴨肉都幾嫩, 不過感覺有點似食中國臘鴨~哈哈! 而豆蓉做伴菜不太match.
Angus short rib - 3-4片長長既牛片(底跟面的煎香, 中間是生的) - 伴薯蓉! 薯蓉幾好味, 牛片這樣煎也幾好味! 不過牛片不是上等貨色, 切得來很刃. 但這個菜配搭OK的.

(4) Deserrt:
心太軟 - 女朋友最鍾意食甜品 - 我就麻麻地! 不過佢呢個心太軟真係好OK播! 不太甜岩岩好. 正!!! 試得過!

時日$900埋單, 唔算平又唔算貴! 如果食$900咁既質數既食品, 我就覺得麻麻地底! 不過加埋佢既環境氣氛, 咁就OK播!

***佢地Min charge $320/head, 食得法國菜既都一定過既. 不過就冇得同女朋友齋上去食Deserrt!!! ***

I thought the their price was $280 per head, but now has changed to $320 per head. Do check out their web site for updated prices.Environment is nice and staff are helpful and attentive, but....... was there for dinner with friends couple days ago, but I find the food was totally not French........moreover, it is over cooked. We only had one starter, one main and a glass of house wine, cost $400 each. With a hundre more, we can go to a real french restaurant with much better quality food.I

Environment is nice and staff are helpful and attentive, but.......

was there for dinner with friends couple days ago, but I find the food was totally not French........moreover, it is over cooked. We only had one starter, one main and a glass of house wine, cost $400 each. With a hundre more, we can go to a real french restaurant with much better quality food.

I had pan fried fois gras for starter, which was burnt. charging for $180 for only a thin slice, i think is over charge, specially it is only a duck liver.

And for the main course, side this is same for everyone, no matter you order a fish, pork or beef, same things, same decor, you can see not much effort for the chief / sur-chiefs. the meet was good, however, the burnt (again) sause for all our diseh just rune everythings. May be that's why give you mash protato side dish, to wrap off the sause...haha, good thinking chief!

Ooo, cheese plater, nice! But don't forget you what you saw at their entrance, only 3 diffrent type of soft cheese.....I think I'll pass for this time. what it really mean a cheese plater should have at lease 4 - 5 type of different cheeses, blue, hard, aged, soft...

Anyway, I think I'll still go again for a coffee.

I seem to be on a French cuisine addict these days! Came here last night for another bday celebration! The decor really is much more elegant than the other one in Wan Chai!Though I do agree with the below member, with the exception of the Manager who seems to be doing a wonderful job in explaining the food, making proper recommendations, joking with the customers, preparing the coffees and getting the bill and basically running the whole place, but with a great smile!! I think the owner should definitely find replacements for the waitresses who acts like they want to be anywhere but waitressing!

Food-wise: The foie gras was lovely both the smoke and panfried. Though the pan-fried was a bit on the watery and runny-side. As the smoked cold foie gras was quite rich, we requested for more bread. The reluctancy of the waitress made it like we were troubling her for more bread.

The French mussels were a bit too buttery for my taste...a bit more wine would've evened it out.

The Grilled Angus Rib Finger Mille Feuille was lovely! Very tender, tasted almost like Wagyu beef!

The Kurbuta pork was very impressive with the size, it looked like a HUGE drumstick!
Very juicy, not as tough as it looked when served on the plate. Both main course was paired with Asparagus and mashed potatoes on the bottom.

I would definitely come back for the food (provided my French craving continues...) and hopefully the girls will have become better trained, as I dont think the Manager can continue like this, running the whole place without much help!

went for dinner-place: love the setting, it's different in the way they decorate the place, there's a nice lace curtain seperating the tables, the warm lighting, we like it- yet, the tables r a bit too close, ie, friends gathering is fine but not for a romantic dinner(since i can record what the person was saying on the next table)- service: very very very local- the two waitress who served us both cant pronounce the word 'rare' correctly... altho they always wear a smile on their face, i was gr

service: very very very local- the two waitress who served us both cant pronounce the word 'rare' correctly... altho they always wear a smile on their face, i was greatly disappointed wf their dishonest attitude. i ordered a medium rare pork and found it fully cooked. asked the waitress to see and she insisted it was medium rare.... hmmm... i m sorry i cant see any pink in the pork and the 'medium rare' pork is soooo hard to cut- i cant imagine how u can cut their fully cooked pork... ok, so now i know that they cant prounce 'rare' AND they didnt know what it means... anyway, i just asked for a sharper knife so i can cut it...

food: quite good, we ordered the appetisier sampler(worth a try), two main dishes, wine. the 'medium rare' pork was better than the red mullet fish.


overall it was not bad, esp the perfectly cleaned toilet!
except i really really dont like their 'open eyes lie'...if service is important to u, i advise u not to go~

2007-09-09已經來過了幾次﹐很喜歡這裡的氣氛﹐友善的服務﹐不錯的食物﹐當然還有他們的免收開瓶費。最適合一大班朋友來聚聚﹐大堆頭但高質素的食物﹐再開幾瓶BYO 餐酒﹐又是開心的一夜。這天當然又是和幾個朋友到來﹐平日大家都忙﹐很少見面﹐所以一定要找個地方我們可以盡情的歡聚暢飲一下的。這晚我們6 個人坐了張8 人檯﹐都幾寬鬆自在﹐感覺良好。雖然食物和服務都一樣保持水準﹐但就好像沒有以前那麼爆場﹐可能是星期日的緣故﹖我後面的那房間整晚都吉了﹐前面那房間也早早吃完就離開了﹐沒有番檯。兩邊都是吉房﹐令我們可以更加開懷的大笑﹐因不怕嘈到隔離。來這裡最好就是價錢中等﹐不用怕點了什麼貴菜付不起錢。愛吃甚麼就點甚麼﹐不用想太多。我們一人一張嘴就不停的說出自己想吃的﹐來了便一起分享﹐好像在家裡開大食會一般﹐但就不用自己煮﹐菜式也比較精美些﹐實在太好了﹗這次沒有點海鮮拼盤﹐只要了白酒煮青口($75)﹐雖然我沒有吃﹐但這碟卻是全晚最多人讚的﹐個個都說那些青口夠大隻﹐但肉質仍然很嫩﹐個汁又做得好﹐差不多想當湯喝了。散叫翡翠螺不在餐牌中﹐所以不知道價錢。那些翡翠螺很鮮甜﹐雖然很大隻﹐但肉質都不會韌﹐不錯的。

這次沒有點海鮮拼盤﹐只要了白酒煮青口($75)﹐雖然我沒有吃﹐但這碟卻是全晚最多人讚的﹐個個都說那些青口夠大隻﹐但肉質仍然很嫩﹐個汁又做得好﹐差不多想當湯喝了。散叫翡翠螺不在餐牌中﹐所以不知道價錢。那些翡翠螺很鮮甜﹐雖然很大隻﹐但肉質都不會韌﹐不錯的。

要了3﹑4 個頭盤分來吃﹐也記不得每道菜的味道了。只記得其中Beef Carpaccio with Mustard﹐Lemon and Parlsley Sauce ($90)﹐因味道突出﹐和平時吃到的beef capacciao 味道大不相同﹐想是用了芥辣作醬汁的緣故。偶爾作新嘗試未嘗不好﹐不過我自己就比較喜歡傳統的那個味道。

湯﹐我們要了蘑菇湯($35) 和海鮮湯($45)。一致裁定蘑菇湯比較可口﹐無論口感和味道都比較優勝。蘑菇湯是用新鮮蘑菇打成的﹐每一口都充滿著蘑菇的鮮味﹐湯的consistency 也是剛好﹐不會過稠也不會過稀﹐最重要不會過鹹。海鮮湯則比較鹹了些﹐而且也太稀了些﹐不過味道也算鮮的。

點了6 個主菜﹐當然也是分來吃了﹐吃得太多不同的味道﹐腦筋都模糊了﹐分不開這個跟那個味道了﹐只記得最不討好的是那個酥皮海鮮大雜燴﹐一點海鮮的鮮味都嘗不到﹐下次一定不會再點。另外澳洲牛($220) 跟澳洲羊($140) 都不錯的﹐肉質夠嫩﹐燒得medium rare 的﹐一點不會過老﹐比上幾次進步多了。

甜品都是$35 一份。雖然我們都已經很飽了﹐但不能沒有甜品的所以我們要了4 個甜品一起吃。甜品份量不多﹐剛好一人一口的﹐可以樣樣試少少也不錯。其中那個老闆介紹的炸牛奶(Leche Frita) 幾特別﹐把牛奶弄成一個個小小的cube﹐一口一個﹐都幾cute﹐不過如果牛奶味再重些會更好一點。

最想讚讚他們的服務。我們自攜的其中一支餐酒年份比較久遠﹐個酒塞也比較鬆散﹐不容易開的。雖然他們不收開瓶費﹐但也也用心的替我們開酒﹐一點咕嚕也沒有。開了瓶後還再放酒進decanter 內慢慢透氣﹐算是頗用心的﹐那份誠意值得嘉許。

有人問我試過這家餐廳沒有,本來興趣不算大,湊巧又有「為了喝酒而吃飯」的局,咦,這店不收開瓶費喎!就是這原因,促使我們光顧。乍看環境有情調, 細看之下有些地方顯得馬虎, 不過佈置方面也算是有心思的. 晚飯設最低消費,每人$280,menu內的starter, seafood, soup, main course, dessert都有不少選擇,要達標也無甚難度。先來兩款頭盤, Carpaccio with mustard sauce牛肉片薄得來太軟太腍, 一挾便爛, 弄得非常狼狽, 淋在上面的mustard sauce亦太厚太濃了. 餐湯及主菜都各點了兩款。蘑菇湯足料, 但又不算很香. 海鮮湯亦不過不失. 主菜方面, 燒春雞的肉質不算很嫩滑, 只算是平凡之作. 威靈頓羊柳做法較為繁複, 所以友人便點來試試, 我吃的是頭/尾部分, 肉已接近全熟, 但肉味濃郁. 看友人吃的中間部分, 則尚未熟透, 看上去頗鮮嫩. 由於外包酥皮焗, 較為heavy, 適宜與人分享.

甜品時間, Cherry Clafoutis是一早已敲定的甜品, 只因未吃過. 質地界乎pudding及souffle之間, 雖然不知道它本身應該是怎麼樣, 但我們吃下去, 卻覺得它像未完全"發起"似的, 有少許怪, 不過都ok. 第二款是類似baked banana with ice-cream的物體, 就是焗香蕉加焦糖配雪糕, 不難吃但沒技巧. Apple crumble就無論質地及味道都不俗.

餐廳也有餐酒供應,種類不算多,但mark up不高,無特別要求的話也可考慮在那裡開酒。不過呢,食物水準只屬一般,要找同類型但物值較高的餐廳,不難,所以應該不會翻兜。

This is one of the worse French restaurants I went for so far.The only reason we give it a try is no corkage fee. Nightmare start when we arrived, the place was so packed and there is only cotton curtain (see through bandage kind) between “rooms”. I think their original idea is to keep the space privacy, but what happen was it can not block any noise; it is worse then traditional Chinese restaurant. I can feel the heat from other customer from my back so you can tell how close those tables are.L

Nightmare start when we arrived, the place was so packed and there is only cotton curtain (see through bandage kind) between “rooms”. I think their original idea is to keep the space privacy, but what happen was it can not block any noise; it is worse then traditional Chinese restaurant. I can feel the heat from other customer from my back so you can tell how close those tables are.

Looking for waiter is troublesome, they never come and you need to shout out to get their response, it is worse then local “tea house”. They have no idea when to come to your table, when to collect your dishes, what food are you eating and etc.

About the dishes, we ordered “Deluxe Seafood Ice Mountain”for $480; you can have 1 little baby lobster, 6 muscles, 2 cherrystone clams, 6 shrimps, and some crab meats. The taste is not as good as those you can buy under $300 for all at “City Supper”

Starter/ Appetizer-
The goose liver is good but the cappaccio is disappointed it stuck on the plate.

Soup-
Clam Chowder –taste like can soup with 2 clams, sorry I should say can soup is a bit better

Main Cause –I cross my finger and hope the main cause is better, but it is not,
“Game Hen”with papaya source, the source is bad but the meat is ok, a bit better then KFC; my friend’s “French Duck Leg”. It tastes exactly like those Chinese duck leg you can find at “Yu Wah”. Unauthentic french!!!

Desert –mine is fine, , but my friend’s Warm Chocolate Pudding has no warm chocolate come out …..

Some other charge –e.g bread $10 per head.

Anyway I won’t go again, $400 per head you can find much better French food

餐廳無論裝修及收費形式與Le Blanc類同.每席以薄簾區分,排得密且樓底低,以致人聲嘈雜,十足假日飲茶一樣.亦時有疏於招呼的埸面.至於收費,以最低$280而逐項計算.千萬不要以為價錢相宜,實際上有主菜已經收$320,而麵包亦收每位$10,並有加一.(忘記水有否收費,一定有吧).

最後每位由$370-450不等.
總括來說可接受,但我不會再訪.
