我想講嘅係, 做F&B, 同客攪好關係係需要, 但我覺得如果唔識得去通理, 好似呢位server咁, 我絕對相信客人唔會因為食物quality只算ok, 受氣多過食飯來黎幫襯, 只少我同我男朋友都唔會!! 當然, 呢餐咁惡劣嘅經驗我係會同所有朋友分享!!

I like the intimate and cozy setting of the restaurant and despite what other reviewers have noted, I did not feel claustrophobic at all. Between the two of us, we had the foie gras and duck confit for one, onion soup and the boneless rib for the other, and a mushroom paste to share.Most dishes were of a high standard, both the duck and rib were perfectly cooked, the onion soup and foie gras were both a little under-seasoned. Most dishes were of a high standard, both the duck and rib were perfectly cooked, the onion soup and foie gras were both a little under-seasoned. The pasta was a major disappointment to the point I should have sent it back -- just lobs of cream folded in with overcooked pasta; the mushrooms did not have much favour either.

BYO - awesome!

Overall a good experience, 3.5 stars out of 5. Four stars if it hadn't been for the terrible pasta.

I give it only a 3. The decor was very nice, retro, but the whole place was a bit TOO packed. if you are claustrophobic you would not be able to eat at all. yep - you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests, save the clever partition (in the form of a white curtain) which only slightly improves the situation. You can overhear conversations, eavesdrop, and bump into the person sitting behind you when trying to use the loo.

But I would definitely visit again, with friends, when I have a paycheck that's fat enough to cover the bill without wincing.

dad's belated birthday celebration. brother picked this restaurant. he's visited before and recommended it. very good choice. remember to BYO. Bread and pate $10/head: delicious. warm and lots of variety. the 3 pates were duck and tuna pates. yummy on warm bread. they also have a knob of butter.Foie gras with caramelized figs and port jus: foie gras properly cooked. crisp and hot on the outside (yes, it has to be hot) and melting inside. very fatty. and no floury sensation in mouth after chewin

I ordered this dish. As i said i'm not a fan of seafood but i didn't want caesar salad or parma ham + melon. So i took mum's advice and tried this. It was OK. at least i managed to eat it. for those who don't know, seared tuna isn't completely cooked. it's seared on the outside so that only the outer layer is thoroughly cooked. the center remains raw. the mango salad complemented it well. $95
Baked Onion Soup Honest - you seldom get good authentic onion soup in HK. it's either short on onion, or short on cheese, or they hadn't even bothered to give you the soaked bread inside the soup. worst of all sometimes they don't give you the melting mozzy on top. This one, this one had everything. only complaint: too filling - irresistable

Confit de Canard I ordered this dish. Soft, fall-off-the-bone meat, crispy skin, delicious filling (beans) and sauce. It was a reduction of some sort. And it was filling. only one duck leg and it filled me up to the brim. Had to share with everyone else. Not the best duck confit i've had but definitely one of the most enjoyable ones. $170

Never try a fish (seabass) in French restaurant will have bone, not only 1, is many ... after complaint, they only said will inform the cook but this is no meaning for us as we will not go back again.Also, the apple crumble is SUPER sweet. i can finished half only even i tried not to waste food.Overall, price and food are not relative!!!

環境裝修好有心思, 有一兩間獨立房, 其他檯都有lace curtain 隔住, 好有私人空間 ! 佢仲有個露檯for smokers, 都幾周到 !! 因為樓底較矮, 都幾應聲, 兩個人想浪漫下就唔太適合, 不過成班人去本身都係嘈, 所以都ok, 反而環境太靜會唔敢講野唔敢盡興呢, heehe !

總括來說, 環境, 食物, 服務都幾好, 一定會再去 !!!

p.s. 0個晚wyman 明哥 同一大班朋友都0係0個度開p呀, 質素唔好佢地都唔會去啦, 好後悔無搵佢地影相囉 !!!

經朋友介紹到了這間位於銅鑼灣英光大厦內12/F 的一間法國餐廳吃這頓晚餐,進入餐廳內第一個感覺就是環境很特別,好有英式feel,好復古,每一個擺設都好像design過般,好有心思,就連洗手間都好靚!坐的位置與位置之間有屏風相隔,所以比較私人一點,最適合party 或兩個人拍拖拖,不過這晚我們是家庭日,所以就要食餐勁啦!首先是頭盤,我們order了龍蝦仔生食,好鮮甜!不過唔記得影相,太心急啦!之後是一些很鬆軟的麵包,勁好味的鵝肝啦,我們order了兩份,因為實在太愛吃了,之後有法國田螺和亞拉斯加長腳蚧,都係超好味,一大口的蚧肉,真是十分難忘!跟着是主菜的T-bone steak,我就要了大蝦牛柳,份量真是很足,連我們這大食的一家都吃不了,最後當然要吃甜品啦!心太軟,不是太甜,但朱古力味很濃.值得再去.價錢都Ok!

Ravioli of Crab Meat with Apple Cider Sauce: 蟹肉意式雲吞唔錯,最欣賞係個Apple Cider Sauce,酸甜味道啱啱好,做得十分出色!


Roasted Pumpkin Soup or Mango Crab Bisque: 兩個湯都好好飲,唯一失色是唔夠熱。

Roasted Turkey or Grilled Tenderloin Fillet or Pan Fried Curry Black Cod: 坦白講,三個主菜是整個set 最差的(尤其是個火雞),不是難吃,是有水準的,但只是一般餐廳的水準。而其他courses(包括甜品)都是超水準的。

甜品
Traditional Xmas Pudding or Black Truffle Brie Cheese or Baked Apple Strudel: Xmas Pudding 熱辣辣,配埋雪糕好好味。焗蘋果卷香脆鮮甜,味道一流! 又是超水準的! (冇叫到芝士)

餐飲: 唔錯的regular coffee

平安夜套餐$680連加一 (每位),有如此質素和氣氛,絶對是物有所值!!!

同行女士鍾意飲fruity d 嘅白酒,所以開了一支 Fishcage Sauvignon Blanc Semillon,果然不負所望,好fruity,好approachable,但係又唔係一味死甜,有適量的酸度,structure幾好。都只係$240咋。

一句講晒: 今餐我會俾90分!

星期六去咗試Le Marron因為之前我cousin recommanded 過...上去之前lum住冇位因為我地冇make reservation, 但係發現其實都唔full, 我lum 一兩個人唔book位都okay..佢個裝修really 好impressive, 連個 washroom 都好靚..and 佢d 間格係每張椅都用布間開, 所以好有privacy (但注意! 咁唔表示格o黎聽唔倒你講嘢)..overall 都幾 romantic ^^但係我本人唔覺得全部嘢都好食..我地order 咗d menu 上recommand, 個d 好好食, like ’king crab leg’...but then others 就唔係禁值...Overall 佢d 野都幾貴因為佢d quality only 係 Okay..我lum 我都唔會再去...

在悠長的暑假中終於可以抽到時間與友人來一個迷你飯局。一直都喜歡跟友人在中環一帶共進早午晚餐,但多吃了也會膩。每次我們都得花許多時間在找餐廳的事宜,這次在機緣巧合之下,在別人的blog上看到le marron的介紹,雖然le marron在openrice上的評價並不算中,但由於小女子被其浪漫的裝潢所吸引,便決定拉攏友人與我會一會le marron。le marron位於sogo的正對面,其實都算容易找到,但仔細一看她並沒有作大型招牌的宣傳,而且位於一座不起眼的大廈中,我想普通人斷不會能隨意找到,不過le marron開業至今已有一段長時間,自然有其可取之處。一步出電梯就被le marron的門面吸引,暗暗的燈光予人舒服的感覺(由於燈光暗相片都很矇),走進入面更被那些形形色色的小擺設吸引,有一陣懷舊的感覺呈現出來,而且店主花了些心思用簾子來分隔客人,令私隱度立即提高,不怕在談話時被鄰桌的客人打量。每一個間隔都有不同款式的吊燈,在內又放置了一部琴,可見店主在裝修方面非常有誠意。當日全場沒有坐滿,但同場有不少外籍人士(不知是哪個國家),我心想這餐廳果然是挺受歡迎,在餐具擺放上一絲不苟,唯一是

是日因我跟友人自備了玫瑰香檳,所以沒有點到任何飲品,在我們還在為點菜的事煩惱時,侍應已為我們上了Bread and Pate,但每人都需付上$10,印象中共有4款款式,又有鵝肝醬及牛油供選擇,雖然包的味道是不錯,特別是香草口味的那一個,但我認為質素仍有頗大的進步空間。

經過一輪費苦思量之後,終於在侍應推介後點好了菜。

1) Le Marron Tasting Sampler $ 200
一共有4種款式,煎蝦、酥皮田螺、厚切煙三文魚沙律及春卷。友人並不太喜歡蝦,可是她一試之後便愛上了這個煎蝦,其實蝦並沒有特別的處理,但勝在不同於雪蝦的那種死實口感,酥皮田螺水準不錯,三文魚口感一流,其沙律的汁不知是否廚師特別調制,但味道一流,最後春卷的內裡非平常蘿蔔等材料,可惜我跟友人都吃不出內裡的乾坤=p

2)Poached Boston Lobster and Tropical Fruit Salad with Passion Fruit Dressing $145
份量並不多跟想想像中的有所出入,而且生果又不是很熟,甜味欠奉,但龍蝦的鮮味倒是有的,蝦頭的膏有很多,幸好友人不喜歡吃蝦膏,這次讓我大飽口福 : )

3) French Mussels in White Wine Sauce $85
mussel的size偏細,但相對地數量都算多,mussel非常入味,以$85來說是值回票價的,而且白酒sauce不會太過膩,其實我認為這個sauce似cream sauce多於白酒,酒味不濃,但都算出色。

4)Lamb Wellington Stuffed with Duck Confit and Prosciutto with Garlic Gravy $280
這道羊肉威靈頓是侍應特意推介的,一眼看到已經令人口水直流了
最面層的酥皮十分鬆化,又不會焗過頭。老實說小女子其實不太喜歡吃羊肉,怕的是羊的羶味,雖然有些人會很喜歡這種味道,但對於我來說就是令人作嘔的感覺。而le marron的羊肉卻沒有半點羶味,而且羊肉很嫩,不像普通貨色的羊肉難以咬開,配襯了入面的duck confit,羊濃濃的肉味與咸味組合得好好,就算沒有sauce亦無問題。不過配菜就未見有什麼特別,因為主角始終是lamb吧=p

5) Mango Hot Souffle $50
對於我跟友人來說,飯後的甜品是非常重要的,所以就算要少點一道main course也一定要點甜品
可是le marron的甜品並無叫人特別回味,可能是我們點的款式非廚師的拿手好戲吧( dessert的款式好像有10款)。mango souffle其實吃不出有芒果味,souffle不過不失,但由於期望過高所以真的有點失望吧...

6) Crepes Suzette $55
crepes一直都是我的首選,但le marron的crepes真的過於普通了,我想是粉漿開得不好,crepes過厚,而且真的太過酸了,那種酸是令人受不了,有點像變壞的感覺,這道甜品我認為是低於水平,有點後悔點了這款。

le marron的價格其實不算便宜,但我跟友人都認為是物有所值,但下次再來的時間情願多點一道Entrées,甜品就....不過le marron有限定每個人最低消費$320,不像其他餐廳般限死了要點set dinner,這點我非常滿意(因不喜歡飲湯),但le marron每一樣物品都會向你索價,不會奉上coffee or tea! 期待下次再會le marron

Went there for a friend's birthday. Nice ambience but was extremely noisy even with the partition. You literally need to scream across the table to get yourself heard! The food itself was western food in a chinese way:-- french onion soup : cheese was so thick that had to throw away- pan seared foie gras : not smooth/creamy at all- king crab leg : only got 3 finger sized portion for $180!!!!Don't bother going unless you wanna have a ciggie at the balcony!

Ate at le marron in December above 1010 flagship shop . Okay french cuisine, not too filling but pricey (@450 for myself). Good for dates

Pan fried foie gras - the foie gras itself was good but a tad too oily, better if it was served on brioche or bread. Service - pretty good. except when we were seated and repeatedly kept asking what we would like to drink ... (we didn't bring our own wine). sometimes hard to get the attention of passing waiters but on the plus side, there's slightly more privacy.
Environment - nicely decorated, liked the lace curtains - feels private but the tables are actually quite close together so it can get quite loud
