As we do not want to be held ransom by restaurants during Valentine day, we celebrated our belated Valentines tonight by bringing my wife to Cubus 28. It was located at Hoi Ping Road, few minutes walk from Hysan Causeway Bay. They served fine dining cuisine and their dishes are of fusion type. Avocado was soft and meaty, and crab meat was fresh, together with the flavour of sea urchin

Alaskan crab meat pumpkin soup with egg white and gold flakes - The texture of the soup was thick and creamy, with strong pumpkin taste. Crab meat was plentiful, fresh and juicy. At the bottom of the plate was egg white and was very soft and smooth.
Assorted seafood and abalone sauce braise orzo pasta with black truffle - This was quite unique as it was neither rice or pasta, but of rice sized pasta. The shape was like seed and was smooth and chewy. Seafood was fresh and juicy as well.
Sichuan style spicy chicken with avacado - It was fried till soft and crispy, and was very flavourful. It will be better if it was more spicy though. Avocado complimented well with the chicken.
Siu mai with sea urchin and black pearls - Siu mai was big in size and was chewy and juicy, and the meat was fresh as well. Sea urchin helped to enhance the taste as well.
Dark plum hawthorn pudding with red wine and gold flakes - The plum taste was strong and pudding was soft and smooth, a good choice after a heavy meal.
