Anniversary with 文迪, when we arrived Chesa at 8 there were not many people but finally it was almost full. It was a little bit noisy but the whole setting and environment was very good. 2.Rachette du Valais:9分, 芝士送麵包好正, the cheese is not too strong, but remember to finish this dish asap as the taste of cheese is bad after getting cold.
3.紅酒燴牛尾:10分, 紅酒汁+ 薯蓉= 精彩, 牛尾炆得林, 文迪and I shared this dish, and each of us could get 2 big pieces of 牛尾. Just 紅酒汁is already very outstanding, plus 牛尾makes this dish one of the best that I have eaten.
4.朱古力屋仔:9分, a nice surprise for 文迪. The waiter would give us a real surprise for delivering this dessert to us. Honestly, the taste of chocolate was so-so, but the presentation plus the setting of the dessert worth this score of 9.

Excellent food, service, and environment. Each couple must at least go there once.

appentizer: salmon pancake ($150): the menu has changed and there is no more crab pancake. the captain suggested us having this salmon cake. it is very good. it is actually like crab pancake but now the crab is replaced with small pieces of salmon and egg white. the cheese sheet covered the salmon. tastes excellant.

main course 1: veal with cream mushroom ($220). it is still my favourite. the creamy sauce is excellant when eating together with the potato cake on the side.

main course 2: grilled lamb rack. there are total four large pieces. it is fat enough but not too much. it is the best lamb i ever had. and it costs cheap relatively. only $260.

we are very very full to have any dessert. but we saw the foreign couple can each enjoy one appentizer, one main course, one dessert (cheese with bread!!), two glasses of wine and one coffee. I simply don't understand why they can eat so much and so rich!

The 2 of us went there tonight for the first time. The ambient was warm and friendly. The manager and waiters were all very helpful and nice.

We started off as the only customer in the restaurant and were later joined by 4-5 other tables of customers which made it a bit noisy but still tolerable. If all of them could keep their voice down, we would have easily mistaken ourselves in a Swiss cottage.

My gf is a small eater so we ordered 2 Appetisers (Assiette Chesa and Foie Gras), a main dish (Ox tail in Red Wine) and a chocolate haus which I had ordered a week ago for her birthday.

The Assiette Chesa is the first dish on the menu so you can't miss it. It is a fine selection of dried/smoked ham and sausage served on a cheese board and it was just delicious. I found it best served with bread which the waiters kept refilling for us.

Then came the Foie Gras which was a bit disappointing. It was not as crispy as I had expected but overall it was OK.

The one main dish we ordered came separated into 2 plates already when served and it came with 2 potions of salad and mesh potato which is very professional. The side dishes and the ox tail itself was just perfect.

Then came the birthday chocolate haus. It certainly surprised my gf when it was tabled in front of her and it took her a while to figure out what it was. May be I had too much food already so I did not find the ice cream too suprisingly tasty but I must say the chocolate house itself is a very good alternative to a birthday cake for just 2 persons.

To wash down the rich taste of all those food we had, my gf ordered a pot of tea with lemon which she described as the best lemon tea she ever had so far.

The food was great and the ambient was warm and comfortable (but not exactly romantic). We really did have a enjoyable evening and will certainly visit the restaurant again.

Well, I have been to Chesa several times and I had nothing bad to say against this restaurant each time I went there. Although the menu has not changed much, the quality of food is just to die for.There are several must-eat dishes that I would like to take this opportunatety to recommend to you all. There are several must-eat dishes that I would like to take this opportunatety to recommend to you all. First of all, the goose liver is just the best I had ever had in Hong Kong so far. Not only it is tasty and fresh, but also does it melt quickly and sliding smoothly down your throat.

Secondly, the oxtails stew in red wine sauce. You must really try this mouth-watering dish. The beef is so tender that it would never stick between your teeth. It is so easy to separate the meat from the bone so much so that you won't create a mess in middele of your elegant dining experience.

Moreover, the national crusine of Switzerland, Fondue. Well, to me, I like bread with cheese. So I'd recommend the original Cheese Fondue. You can't just imagine how appetizing an acroma from the mixture of 2 different kinds of cheese and white wine and some other herbs can be. Well, but then of course you have to be a "Cheese-lover" to appreciate its beauty.

Last but not least, the wine selection... It's a bit extravagant but it's totally worth it. I mean how can you fully appreciate good food without good wine.

One thing I don't quite enjoy from the Menu was the dessert portion. Maybe because I ain't a sweetie kinda person, I found the dessert a bit over-sweetened. That's one teeny drawback I have for the restaurant .

2月2日晚同朋友慶祝生日,來到chesa食dinner,一去到第一個反應係,好靚,環境好有瑞士feel,服務好到無得頂,我同朋友只係order1 個appetizer,兩個main course,但係waiter們都serve得我地好好我地食完就坐係個度傾計,計埋食野我地由1930坐到2230先走,但侍應都冇不耐煩冇趕客,好impressive講番食物,頭盤鵝肝($140)個sauce既味同個鵝肝好夾,而鵝肝亦煎得好嫩,好juicy主菜1-apple cider cheese fondue($165)-我覺得酒味重左d,好似唔係好岩自己,朋友話太salty,我就覺得唔係太salty,因為芝士味來既~不過我唔太鍾意d酒味lor~主菜2-牛仔肉with mushroom sauce and pototaes($240)呢個好好食,連我唔鍾意食牛肉既人都話正,d牛肉唔會老,又唔會"un",好食!冇食甜品,但係waiter都好細心咁把支candle插係送既餠乾到同我個frd講happy birthday,不過我唔太鍾意個d餠乾既果味..chocolate我就鍾意~!同埋可refill 既bre

We haven't been there for a long time. The manager still remember us? Last night, we went there to celebrate 1 month marriage . The garlic bread is as good as before. There is a new bread added to the basket, i.e. rasin and walnut bread. My bf liked it very much. We ordered my favourite crabmeat pancake ($145). For the main course, we had a light fried pomfret (on speical menu) ($220). The source is excellant, plenty of olive and a little bit sour. we also had grilled lamp rack ($250). Each of us had two pieces. It is very juicy. The side dish was some fried mushroom and garlic. it is very delicious too.
We are too full to have any dessert. There are some free dessert provided, chocolate, dried piece of orange and cinnamon biscuit. It is very good closing for the dinner.

Glad to know that you finally had a good time in Chesa. This is a classical example of how bad receptionist spoiled good restaurant.Is your birthday on June 26? 到星期6晚我同男朋友就上o左去啦, 一入到去就有個經理笑住咁問我" 你係咪楊小姐呀?" 心諗你咁都估到? 原來我地之後先知成晚得我地一係中國人, 哈哈估唔到.咁我地一坐低, 就叫左McWing 介紹既野食, 嘩, 真係好大碟呀, 我地2 個人食左goosie liver, lamb rib and also oxtail 已經好飽. 食緊野o個時個經理重走埋黎同我chatting,重話o個個同事已經俾人warning o左. 之後又有一位係Director of food & beverage 既assistant 落o左黎同我say sorry, 又問我d 野食得唔得. 哈哈, 突然間有d 怕羞添( 因為咁多人埋黎同我report 番件事)之後上o個個朱古力屋仔既時候, 哈哈, 真係寫o左happy birthday to my wife 呀!不過真係好"漏", 同埋又有2 杯wine 係送俾我既, 一飲就知唔係靚野( 因為好辣). 男友同我都覺得冇所謂啦, 都唔駛錢.原本想食芝士火鍋架, 不過經理話會好"漏" 囉if only 2 persons share, 所以冇食. =(埋單

衰在chesa冇得望街, 不過室內decoration is very woody, 值得再去.
$140 for one set goose liver ( appetizer )
$200 for oxtail with redwine sause ( main course )
$230-250 for roasted lamb ribs ( main course )
如果大家都係2 個人去既話, 可以request 將d main course 一分為二. 因為真係好大份, 咁快飽就試唔到其他野食架啦^-^

今日係我生日, 男朋友提議去呢度食飯. 點知未食就已經俾半島激到一肚氣!! 星期5 朝早我9 點打去訂位, 因為佢未開門, 唯有將我電話駁去room reservation service. 一位張姓女士就幫我booking. 我見McWing 話朱古力屋仔可以寫message, then 我叫佢幫我寫Happy birthday to my wife. 點知...呢位女士問我" Wife ? 寫俾Wife ? 雖然唔關Chesa 既人事, 但係我真係不吐不快, 同埋send more than 1 email to executive consultants of 半島.
我同男朋友都覺得呢句message, 講真, 男人落order都唔一定俾女人姐, 法例又冇條文寫明女人唔可以自己落booking, 搞到我好鬼embarrassed by her insensitive remarks.
不過今晚都會如常去Chesa 食, 反正都訂左位, 同埋好想知佢係咪真係寫wife/ husband/ dont know what it is written.
星期日再話俾大家知^v^

頭盤要鵝肝很滑但唔香, 主菜點羊架份量幾多但少少肉味都無, 配菜都唔好食, 食到無晒胃口, 本來一心想叫dessert, 但食完主菜已對這裡的食物好失望. 當我同佢地講食完, 佢都有問我係唔係唔好食, 可想而知食餘幾多. 他們的service都ok...但叫我daddy叫做伯伯, 好難聽, 叫先生都得掛. 所以我唔會介紹人去食, 唔值.

噢!原來你要有海景,咁Chesa就唔o岩你喇~$800二人budget,可以考慮下:(1)半島Felix:個維港view一流~不過你個budget只夠食early bird set dinner(只食到8點),三百幾蚊一位。(2)新世界酒店Panorama:又係好正o既維港view,環境好靜好舒服;可能會over你個budget一D(小妹上次去食o左大約四百幾蚊一位),最好自己打電話問下set dinner價錢同有冇信用咭discount~(3)北京道一號San Francisco Steak House:水準一般啦~不過有海景又o岩你budget。(4)唔知赤柱海景係o米你要o既seaview呢(咦!呢個至係「sea」o黎o播)?其實美利樓果幾間都唔錯。再有問題o既,不如去「飲食講場Hot Gossip」再傾o丫!話晒呢度都係for Chesa食評,嚮果度講會比較適合。為免太off-topic,附上Chesa煎鵝肝玉照一張~^^

(1)半島Felix:個維港view一流~不過你個budget只夠食early bird set dinner(只食到8點),三百幾蚊一位。
(2)新世界酒店Panorama:又係好正o既維港view,環境好靜好舒服;可能會over你個budget一D(小妹上次去食o左大約四百幾蚊一位),最好自己打電話問下set dinner價錢同有冇信用咭discount~
(3)北京道一號San Francisco Steak House:水準一般啦~不過有海景又o岩你budget。
(4)唔知赤柱海景係o米你要o既seaview呢(咦!呢個至係「sea」o黎o播)?其實美利樓果幾間都唔錯。
再有問題o既,不如去「飲食講場Hot Gossip」再傾o丫!話晒呢度都係for Chesa食評,嚮果度講會比較適合。為免太off-topic,附上Chesa煎鵝肝玉照一張~^^
