This place used to be OK when I ate there 3 years ago, but this time it was very disappointing. The service was extremely poor. Waiters were incapable, inattentive and rude. We were given the farthest table on the terrace and the wait staff would quite happily ignore us when we waved. That reminded me of those so-called wait staff at Lin Heung. The food was equally disappointed. The fried salt and pepper squid was under-seasoned. The shrimps were tough, as were the steamed scallops in garlic. Th
The food was equally disappointed. The fried salt and pepper squid was under-seasoned. The shrimps were tough, as were the steamed scallops in garlic. The deep fried oysters had way too much batter on the outside and the chef clearly forgot about the seasoning. Razor clams in black bean sauce were the best dish out of the lot, but I'd consider it mediocre. The fried rice was also poor; any char chaan teng could have done a better job.
Somehow I feel this place has turned into a complete tourist trap - offering you a free ride but of course as the saying goes there is no free lunch. Don't be surprised to see nuts being charged to your bill (2 @ $30 each) adding to the already extortionary prices. With so many other places one can get quality seafood, I will certainly not go back or recommend this place to anyone.
