I am aware there are quite a few Indonesian restaurants in Hong Kong but haven’t got the chance to try any of them until today. Although the line was long and there were not many seats in this restaurant, we chose it for its good reviews. We also appreciated the fact that it was a Sunday so we remained in line and felt very excited for our lunch. We ordered two rice dishes - Nasi Penyet Iga Sabi ($68) and Nasi Indonesia Super Star ($78), as well as a snack - Ikan Asin Pedas ($38). They both tasted fantastic and as a person who is infatuated with spicy food, their spicy beef, chicken, and fish in their Super Star was right up my alley. Meat was tender and everything tasted very authentic. We could not believe we are having these Indonesian dishes in Hong Kong for how lovely they tasted. Of course, we also went for two same drinks - Es cendol ($56 for two), sugar level was perfect with amazing chewy bites.
It was another marvellous lunch we had but we recommend you to come on weekdays so there will be less waiting time and hopefully, there will not be a line.
