Always wanting to try this Japanese restaurant but it was always closed on Sunday. I deliberately brought my mum for lunch after one of the most boring Yin lessons I have ever had in my life. I ordered the premium don (i totally made the name up, so basically I ordered the most expensive one and my mum ordered the second most expensive one). Because I am greedy and always want to try more, but I think next time I would simply go for my mum’s one. The uni and shrimps were that fresh and didnt have the UMAMI... SAD.

But this tomato is something you ought to order. It may sound ridiculous for a tomato to cost $38 but the sauce was on point. A hint of spiciness coupled with the freshness of the tomato — perfect match!
Didnt quite like the miso soup tho... too salty to my liking.
And I bet the highlight of the dish is the vinegar jelly — which does elevate the taste of the entire don. It’s a new experience to Don.
$3xx for this lunch. Maybe I will go back to Shiro which offers more variety of food and the sashimi seems to be fresher?
