Tried this local (to me) restaurant for dinner on an Autumn night last night. It is a small establishment, I certainly didn't come here for the ambience - but that canbe helped with the small space and the popularity, as I regularly see queues here whenI walk past.Chose the Nasi Lemak - a dish which isn't found cooked terribly well in Hong Kong but I have to sayit is pretty good. Chose the Nasi Lemak - a dish which isn't found cooked terribly well in Hong Kong but I have to say
it is pretty good. Authentic choice of ingredients and taste and not a "HK-ized" version either. Also the "mook
gwuk cha" - which resembles more a soup than tea and served over a mini-stove. Pleased with the meal
and a nice surprise.
It is a slight negative though that I do value the overall experience of dining out - including the ambience, seating and comfort as well
as, of course, the food. This is where it falls down, as the spacing of the tables is extremely close and when I went there
with my partner - they said that we almost certainly couldn't have a 2-seater table but had to share tables - we left
and went to the nearby Tsui Wah.
