it did not disappoint this time. we ordered a hk$140 drumstick quarter to share. my wife & son all enjoyed it very much.^^
the fried dumplings did not look great, but actually it was very tasty though kind of oily!

一個人食一樂燒鵝就一定要食燒鵝脾,但係成日都冇得買,因為佢地要留番叫一隻燒鵝的客。so disappointed 去5次得一次買到!要叫脾就冇肉食!唉 D員工態度又唔太好,有次仲放我盒飯喺地下!所以而家好少去了

Who could have give this a miss if you work and manoeuvre in Central? Absolutely the best roast goose I have had in a while. It earned its Michelin star for a reason. Crispy skin tender meat with great aroma from the marination.Their chicken is also amazing. Crunchy skin, tender meat. I normally don't eat the skin of any poultry, but not here. I don't feel any guilt in pushing high my cholesterol for a day. It's simply a sin not eating every piece all-in (uh except the bone I meant)!Nevertheless

I normally don't eat the skin of any poultry, but not here. I don't feel any guilt in pushing high my cholesterol for a day. It's simply a sin not eating every piece all-in (uh except the bone I meant)!

Nevertheless, my 2 pennies worth of opinion is: eat in, always. Taking out (which we tried once) simply would ruin the whole experience as the crispiness of the roasted skin may not sustain the transportation duration.

Mrs. owner & the team of staff are generally pleasant and welcoming which is quite unusual in places as such.

This is a typical local diner in HK; you sit down, eat your food, and get out; no fuss.The roast goose is decent, decent enough to come back for it again. But everything else is below standard. The bbq pork (cha siu) is too sweet and dry, even the rice was badly cooked.The iced lemon tea also way too sweet by any standards.But the worst came in the manner of the lady owner. But the worst came in the manner of the lady owner. It doesn't matter she had none... but her's was horrible

An incident occurred while I dined there a few days ago:

A man came in and placed an order, but somehow they have him the wrong change. Instead of making it right, the customer decided to cancel the order and asked for a refund.

The owner said no and they started arguing; shortly after the customer caved and said he'll have the correct order. The owner however, told him to leave and did not give him the money back.

The customer then said he will call the police and the owner said he's making a unnecessary scene, gave him the refund and told him to get lost before he gets into trouble.

I don't know the extend of the argument, but no business owner should treat a customer like that. 

I would never go again

Anyways where else in Central would you go for roast goose? This was the obvious choice, and we didn't want to risk Yung Kee.

I like how they advertise the price and pictures of roast goose drumstick lai fun, but it is very likely you will not get one these days due to popularity and demand. If you want a drumstick, get half a goose or one of those lower quarters where you might get one.

In short, the carbs there, whether lo mein, or lai fun in broth, are just distractions and stomach stuffers.

The iced lemon tea isn't even great. The veggies just to ease the guilt.

The reality is that the star here is the goose. It's a lean variety based on our visit in late December, but is very good. The drumstick I had at Bor Kee was more like a Flintstones experience (humongous beast), yet a much saltier marination...though the skin was crispy. Here the skin is not crispy but the marinade/rub was dead on and just the right amount of saltiness. Juicy flesh and just hits the spot. There is not much more to be said, other than I agree with the fans of the place.

Now with a Michelin under their belt, they have to step up and offer more variety.
The lines are insane during lunch, so go early or keep your fingers crossed.

對於食物,如果試到一間好食的餐廳我是會常來的,如果一間常常來都保持到水準的,就可以當飯堂了。這裡是我的飯堂。來到此店一定會叫上一碗燒鵝米,又或者燒鵝飯,是日是燒鵝米,鵝肉入口油脂甘香,湯底與米粉十分夾,燒鵝皮的油香混合在一起,再配上一杯茶走,那滑滑的囗感,漲住了口腔,午餐下來雖然只有8分飽,但也滿足了。

總算來說,確實不錯,值得偶而重温,但是否比其他出色,見仁見智!近期比較,似乎廿牌燒鵝稍勝,不知道是退步了,還是水準不穩而已!

食物一般,燒鵝嗎,味道質感係可以, 但不算有多特別或非他們不可, 深井或其他較好的燒味店都有呢個水準,隔離街Y記都比他們好食.  叉燒, 雞等,更是普通到不能再普通, 隨便一間燒味店都差不多, 以佢哋呢個价錢食呢個水準, 就是不值. 果日去到, 本來準備叫半隻燒鵝給遠道而來的親友試, 但佢哋已經無半隻賣, 只可以叫併盤. 之後叫單/雙併飯, 又話無飯, 最後唯有併瀨粉.  但碗瀨粉就好油吓, d湯面都是油.      不過呢間店會附送一肚氣, 唔食都飽, 食咗消化唔到.  由點餐到食完, 都要受著他們的氣.  真金白銀去食嘢, 佢哋的態度係當人去乞食咁, 詳情請看補充資料. 放心,絕不會再去, 請都不去.

题外话/补充资料: 帶着一位外來的親友,到這間所謂香港出名的燒鵝店,晚上六時多到,3個人一心打算叫半隻燒鵝再加其他東西來吃, 本不打算吃粉/飯等飽肚嘢。 當時已經沒人排隊即時有位坐,我哋一坐下個侍應就站在旁邊問食乜,我哋話先叫半隻燒鵝,個侍應就話燒鵝賣晒了,併盤就有,咁我拿了餐牌來看。不到幾秒個侍應又催"食乜", 我話看看先轉頭先點,我哋第一次來,除了焼鵝唔知食乜好,個侍應死都唔走繼續在旁邊催,不停話快d啦。 其實餐牌都係d焼味碟頭飯類,咁唯有求其點燒鵝飯及叉雞飯,點知個侍應又好呼喝咁話"都話冇飯lok", 其實佢跟本冇同我哋講過,我哋3個人6隻耳都冇聽到,算了,咁就由飯改為瀨粉,順便加2杯凍飲。 後來發現張單好似寫貴咗,明明飲品跟餐係8蚊杯,佢寫咗15x2, 咁我問點解,個侍應好悔氣咁話冇錯係咁走咗。 我哋唯有問老闆娘 (係有禮貌的問),點知老闆娘態度更惡劣,大力拍單在枱上說唔好問我啦,再追問點解,佢終於用極惡劣的語氣說3個人食兩個餐係咁,唔鐘意就唔好食,但都係冇詳細解釋,後來發現佢收銀櫃前少少有寫"午市人均最低$40",但我們坐的用餐位置是看不到的,而且我們一坐下就不停被那侍應催落單,跟本沒時間看其他東西,我們一邊吃,一邊被老闆娘由收銀櫃向我們坐最入的位置破口大罵, 是罵不停口, 我們請她停她都不停。如果不是為那位外來親人要吃這間出名店,我早就走人了。 其實不是那十元八塊錢的問題,是沒有解釋就亂罵客人的惡劣問題,一邊吃一邊被罵,食龍肉都冇味。而且當時已經是晚上六時多,是晚市了,絕不是午市,那個最低收費標貼跟本並不適用。 這樣做生意,簡直影衰香港食肆,影衰香港人。

Two Manila friends wanted roast goose! So after a lot of social research (asked friends, and then heard about the Yung Kee family feud) we settled on this. I'm 1.8m tall and found the place really tight. But it's Hong Kong style I guess. We ordered half a goose, char siu, think rice noodles and thin wheat noodles. The goose was pretty good - crispy skin, tasty meat (you could taste the star anise and other spices) and well chopped. The noodles were good too. Naturally we didn't linger too long.

聽到一樂的名字很多年了,晚飯去試下這間多人到不得了的茶餐廳。招牌燒鵝算是Ok,差過深井,但總算皮脆,肉亦算鬆軟。义燒水準一般,其他的野味道都幾普通,食物量都不夠。最掃興的是服務態度極差,無禮貌,話自己有好多客在外面,你們叫得唔夠多就唔洗來,服務態度勁差, 又勁唔耐煩,又話趕住收9點!最後要張收據,老闆娘話從來都沒有,要收據就唔要來食飯!從來沒見過這麼差態度的店鋪。大家千萬要避免和老闆娘有任何對話,否則一定敗興而歸。

一樂是一間屬於家族式經營的食店,早於1950年開業, 於2011年搬往現址中環士丹利街經營, 身兼廚師兼店東以家族秘方醃製燒鵝,此店用5公斤重的東莞黑草鵝, 每日新鮮運抵餐廳,肥瘦剛好, 用八角沙薑五香粉等醃好後, 就會入風乾櫃風乾一晚, 然後放入太空爈燒烤, 個爐疷放左火山石, 這樣可以讓火力更均衡,燒出的鵝皮脆肉嫩,有油香但不肥膩, 鹹香剛好。If you are looking for authentic Roast goose in Hong Kong, then Yat lok will definitely fit your bill. I come by here last night after some afternoon tea set just across the street. Outside the entrance, posted some advertisment by magazine from the past and price list of food. I have always heard that their roast goose leg rice noodle is very famous and it cost $80 for a bowl.

Inside the environment is basic and space is limited. So, you maybe sharing your table with others. Some notices I saw on the board that will be charging you $3 for a glass of water and $15 for tea, so weird !?

I want to try the roast goose leg rice noodle so I ordered it. Extra $8 for a glass of lemon tea or milk tea which paired with the noodle. My roast goose leg noodle seems to be delicious, the roast bronze skin goose lay on the noodle soup was definitely enticing. The crispy skin cushioned by a layer of super melty fat while underneath was tender and succulent. A bite of the goose meat juice with fatty skin run into my throat just totally satisfied my thirst for the roast goose.

After some bite for my goose, I began to try the underneath noodle with soup. Rice noodle was al dente and pair with the soup is just right. Soup base is not salty nor taste too heavy so it's definitely MSG free I guess. With some chopped scallion spread over it make the soup more flavourful.

Come here someday if you are craving for juicy meaty yet crispy bronze skin roast goose, it definitely will not let you down with it's fair enough price and food quality. But don't fancy anything other than that , since it's just a family run restaurant with basic environment and service.

從堅尼地城走到中環,原本想在堅尼地城吃個午飯,可是卻又太早了,於是便到了中環才吃一個午餐。既然來到中環,突然間想起了一間已說了很久要來的一樂燒鵝,於是二話不說了的來到了這間期望已久的食店,這就是一樂燒鵝了。來到門口,已經是午飯時間的高峰期,固此要大排長龍,可是在下只有一人,又適逄店員正嚷著有否一個人,於是在下順理成章地回應了店員的喊叫,第一時間走進店內,毫無不需時間排隊。坐下後,在下連餐牌也不用看看,便點來了雙併飯了。叉燒燒鵝飯。上桌後的雙併飯,顏色對辦,紅色表面的叉燒,和燒鵝,帶點燒濃的外表,吃一口叉燒,雖不太鬆化,但是蜜汁充足,也夠軟腍;燒鵝皮脆,皮下脂肪也足夠,肉質不錯。凍奶茶是在下的餐飲。少甜的凍奶茶,可讓喝到茶味多一點的茶,這杯可算是順滑的,茶香還是未夠呢!在一樂吃飯,不會逗留得太久,吃罷便要走人。

凍奶茶是在下的餐飲。少甜的凍奶茶,可讓喝到茶味多一點的茶,這杯可算是順滑的,茶香還是未夠呢!

曾是米芝蓮推介 , 久聞其名, 知道燒鵝出色, 地方細, 服務差, 大排長龍..曾經親戚外賣成隻返屋企食, 鵝乾硬口...令我連自己原本食過都唔記得~臨時同事lunch建議去呢到食燒鵝脾諗住排一陣都冇所謂啦~點知去到, 有幾個人排緊, 但因人數關係, 佢就比我地入座先~ 幸運地方細通道窄係好正常, 但勝在算乾乾淨淨, 地板沒有油膩感覺.  同事對食好有研究, 成日都會帶我地班"靚"食好野~跟佢叫一定冇衰. 同事話, 行到上黎咁辛苦,緊係要食返隻燒鵝脾先對得住自己..另外一定要點飯, 因為飯吸收埋鵝汁, 呢一點瀨粉係做唔到. 最後叫了叉燒拼原隻燒鵝脾飯飯到啦...好大隻脾呀! 鵝肉質鮮嫩, 多汁, 以為入口成口油, 好多肥膏~點知咁嫩嘅脾竟然係冇嗰層脂肪~所以一點都不油膩, 皮燒得好香....仲係暖笠笠架!叉燒亦都唔肥, 但好"林"又有肉味最正係外邊包圍住蜜汁..濕潤又唔乾身~選飯一啲都冇錯...如果唔係真係浪費晒鵝汁,最開心係可以叫侍應姐姐比多點薑蓉姐姐就會成碗比你任拎~講返服務呢方面~其實應該話好有茶記feel姐姐大大聲, 叫你入座都會呼喝式~地方淺窄, 佢地喺隔離枱收野都會整到你~

鵝肉質鮮嫩, 多汁,
以為入口成口油, 好多肥膏~
點知咁嫩嘅脾竟然係冇嗰層脂肪~
所以一點都不油膩, 皮燒得好香....
仲係暖笠笠架!

叉燒亦都唔肥, 但好"林"又有肉味
最正係外邊包圍住蜜汁..濕潤又唔乾身~

選飯一啲都冇錯...如果唔係真係浪費晒鵝汁,
最開心係可以叫侍應姐姐比多點薑蓉
姐姐就會成碗比你任拎~

講返服務呢方面~
其實應該話好有茶記feel
姐姐大大聲, 叫你入座都會呼喝式~
地方淺窄, 佢地喺隔離枱收野都會整到你~
不過都知道唔係有惡意的....

但lunch 可能太多人排隊,
所以見你食完一定會想辦法趕你走,
我地就食完飲緊野之際, 佢地走黎抺了3次枱,
見飲完即收埋杯野~
哈哈~ 明白了!
所以都沒有久留

叫埋飲品都要$110 一位..
雖然lunch 呢個價錢算貴,
但諗真一層自己係食咗成隻鵝脾加叉燒
最後多謝同事慷慨解囊, 請我食咁好味又豐富的午餐

睇返張相, lunch 食到咁~ 知道唔做運動都對唔住自己囉!!!
题外话/补充资料: 一定要堂食, 外賣始終燒味會變得乾身

平時行過中環士丹尼街都會見到鋪頭出面有好多人排隊等位大家都應該係為左平價享受米芝蓮野食而黎今次特登夜晚放工黎食 貪佢少人D唔使等位裡面唔大但都算幾乾淨 一入到就會見到老闆娘熱情招呼宜家都好少有餐廳仲咁有人情味咁一場黎到就緊係叫番個招牌 《原隻燒鵝脾瀨粉》真心正過鏞記好多 D燒鵝好juicy 皮夠脆下次有機會再食 ;p
