因為lunch 無點食,所以好早就去到餐廳~

當時餐廳都無乜人,當然係要影張相先啦!

呢度真係好classic 好靚呀 
 同modern裝修又有景既餐廳相比,我更鐘意呢種懷舊既裝修。

好有屋企既感覺,好多木造既裝潢配上黃色既燈光更加覺得感覺温暖!

黎到呢種格調既餐廳,當然好好service 啦,拉凳、介紹menu 就少不免

我同友人各自叫左一杯果汁一路飲一路研究下個menu

因為太多多野㨂啦,既然唔知食乜好不如叫個set dinner 算啦(但係加左價有d 貴,要$1,188+10%)

個set dinner 係5-course menu 黎,有前菜、湯、意粉、main、同埋一個甜品,仲包一杯野飲同埋飯後小食

其實上第一個course前仲有食到餐前麵包架,不過無影到相,唯有口述啦


佢有四款麵包,因為我只係食左其中兩樣,所以淨係記得個兩樣


我㨂既一款係stick一款係香草包,配埋三款香草or蕃茄醬黎搽麵包

唔知係咪高級餐廳,連唔鐘意食麵包既我黎親呢d 地方都會食好多包


stick 有d 煙煙unun,個香草包就好香香草味,又暖暖地咁好好食呀!

所以我食左三個

我真係好鐘意鵝肝


鵝肝d 油漏曬落塊多士度,又香,而且我好鐘意鵝肝既texture

另外個兩樣都好食既,parma ham 又無筋,但係佢令我有少少懷疑係咪係隻豬腳度片出黎架呢?

mozzarella都好好食,唔會浸到梅曬,個口感還是很好

本人係細胃人士,係食左咁多個包之後其實都飽了⋯⋯

湯就係二㨂一既,而我同友人都選擇左龍蝦湯

西湯個味都好濃郁, 呢個湯就好香龍蝦味,又有好多料,入面有好大舊龍蝦好好味,做湯料都食得出好新鮮

其實個湯頭就好好味,但係同中湯相比我會鐘意中湯多d,因為西湯個味太濃啦我覺得岩做意粉汁多d


飲左一半就俾埋友人飲

然後友人都話飲湯都飲飽了

飲埋個湯就上主菜啦!

呢個蕃茄意粉黎,上面仲有蝦㕸、青口同埋蜆類配料,正呀對於有殼既野我會有莫名其妙既喜好

好好食呀,意料全部都係餐廳自製,好香麥味仲有al dente 既口感

d 蜆無沙就梗啦,蝦肉都好彈牙,好新鮮

蕃茄味再濃都唔會蓋過海鮮味


呢個意粉既portion 其實都唔細,雖然侍應話已經係縮細左既份量,但係我平日既食量就係食咁多就飽⋯⋯

食完個意粉之後waiter埋黎同我地傾兩包計,問下d 野食滿唔滿意,鐘唔鐘意佢地自家製既pasta

頭先落order既時候,個waiter 都知我地好愛食羊,所以就同我地講陣間會幫我地split 開個羊俾我地share

同埋因為我地都話食飽左lu~所以個main 會等多陣先再上檯,我地坐係度傾下計抖陣消化下先

呢個羊架廚房已經幫我地split 開左,旁邊伴碟既係french pea 同埋粟米餅

我真係好鐘意食羊呀,呢個羊我叫左medium,呢個熟度岩岩好呀!

可惜我無切開之後再影返張相


但係呢我覺得好食只係羊既本身,呢個價錢睇黎又無乜特別⋯⋯

好似係其他地方食都係差唔多味咁⋯⋯

相反另一個main 就好唔同啦,十分有驚喜!

呢個係魚黎既,但係咩魚我就無乜印象(好似係black cod?)

經過煎封既魚皮好香,淋完汁之後都唔會變到一padpad

好香魚味,又新鮮。不過我驚有骨呀,所以唔敢食,要友人examine 完先分俾我食

所以唔識lur 骨既朋友食魚時都要小心d 

同埋個汁好好味,又係蕃茄做base 烹調,酸酸地好開胃,本身已經飽飽地滯滯地都仲想繼續食


好啦講完主菜就講下甜品

因為呢度既tiramisu 好出名,所以其中一個dessert 同左侍應講轉 tiramisu

tiramisu 咁common 既甜品相信大家都食過唔少,但係呢度既tiramisu 一定要try!

連垃圾咀加唔好甜野既友人都highly recommend,呢頭放入口個頭就話好好味!

好香咖啡酒既味道,d cream 同手指餅既份量又岩岩好,每一啖都好好味呀

同埋個咖啡酒都要講講,雖然酒精係有佢既香氣,但係太勁既酒味又會令人有消毒火酒既感覺

呢個蛋糕就係法國傳統甜點--聖安娜蛋糕,又係一個must try item!!

首先係呢個蛋糕唔算好common,唔係四圍都有得食,所以大家對佢可能唔係好熟識,等我detail 介紹一下

個底係酥皮黎,on top 仲有d caramel,上面有加到d cream 啦,有d chocolate mousse 啦,custard啦

個酥皮仲有好多層有好多口感,真係好好食架

其實睇我上面咁講,大家都應該估到個蛋糕應該好甜。的確個蛋糕係甜既,食每一啖都會令我諗起好肥

但係真係好好食,係完全食到令人覺得欲罷不能

雖然我本身唔愛食酥皮,但係呢個酥皮都令我不能自拔呀

就如我上面講,有好多層既口感啦,又有d 晶瑩既caramel on top,所以有少少脆脆

d cream 又凍啦,又甜啦(但係甜度有調校過,唔會死甜),加埋d pastry 食真係好岩

不過呢個cake 好彩係同友人兩個人分,同埋其中一個dessert 轉左做tiramisu

因為就算無清蛋糕既部份,呢個蛋糕都會令人食得好飽。同埋就算呢個cake再好食都好啦,食一件就夠啦。

如果兩件都係聖安娜蛋糕應該個開心程度都會下降

當食完d 咁甜既野之後都後悔叫左杯latte 飲,應該叫regular 就算

呢個飯後甜點真係吃不下了,我只係食左一舊朱古力就收左手,同行友人都只係食左一塊餅同一舊朱古力

舊朱古力好好味,入面係拖肥黎。可惜實在是太飽,所以朱古力食一粒都十分勉強,莫講話試塊餅

最後連杯咖啡都飲唔到一半就要收手了

呢一餐誠惠$2,8xx,價錢就真係偏貴既。

但係環境、食物同埋服務都十分之好,絕對係物有所值既


如果係大時大節有乜野節日、紀念日要慶祝,sabatini 都係一個好好既選擇
題外話/補充資料: 呢度既waiter service 真係好好,同客人傾下閒計係基本,對於餐飲既認識都好豐富。 又有live band,好有氣氛架 :D

平日啲人一提帝苑就多數只提佢既自助餐,但原來係自助餐區既外圍有間意式餐廳隱藏左係個度。Sabatini係一間味道唔錯、環境及裝潢都保留傳統意式風味既餐廳。佢既菜式擺盤都唔花巧,整齊企理既傳統西餐擺法。睇落平凡既菜色,係估唔到佢既味道出眾,令人有驚喜。好似牛肉蛋花清湯,睇落平平無奇既清湯,飲落就有好香既牛肉味。慢煮牛面脥,係上菜前都會擔心會唔會好羶。到食既時候估唔到質地係咁軟熟同咁入味,一啲羶味都無。與其花錢食裝修食新派擺盤,我會選擇花錢係有心機保留原味、保持味道既廚師身上。

曾經輝煌過既老牌餐廳,到今日依然有樂隊,有live music , 鐘意懷舊既應該好鐘意。但可惜一線價錢跟不上食物味道同品質,無突破,無驚喜,除左價錢加咗,味道似反而退步。semi buffet 選擇少,亦限取1~2次,聽落都覺奇怪。招牌海鮮意粉亦己經不特別吸引。staff service則 okay 。

朋友為我慶祝生日,我就選了有一陣子沒去的Sabatini。 Sabatini的weekend brunch, 週六和週日menu一样,只是Sun有live music. 愛清靜又可以平D就選了今天去吃。Free flow fresh juice 加house wine 比只是一杯fresh juice的價錢貴約一百元。Brunch 是semi buffet 型式配主菜,煎鵝肝,兩款意粉(Tuna tomato 汁及黑松露Cream汁)。主菜有大蝦,cod fish, 牛,羊扒。那果汁除Orange, Apple 等也可選石榴汁。一入內就滿滿意大利風的裝潢。迎面是brunch 的appettizer及dessert 枱。大大的龍蝦,蟹腳等海鮮迎接客人,還有我最愛的beef tartar... 甜品枱有多款甜點及新鮮士多啤梨,藍莓,Raspberry等。很愛龍蝦的我就先吃龍蝦, 龍蝦的質素很好, 肉質 彈牙,蝦頭的膏也不少,非常美味。餐廳在整個用餐時間內不斷供應,對喜歡龍蝦的朋友來說是一個非常好的選擇。 再來就是放在龍蝦旁的凍蝦,蟹鉗和蟹腳, 蟹肉鮮甜美味,蟹腳的肉也非常多,整體海鮮的質素

再來就是比較少在自助餐上供應的牛肉他他 。因為是生牛肉的關係通常只會選擇在高級餐廳才會享用這款食品。牛肉他他通常的單價也是高昂的,所以高興在這裏可以吃到。

今天供應的是蘑菇忌廉湯很香濃的蘑菇味。 在旁邊 有廚師可以幫忙現煮 魚生多士或各式炒蛋。 點了魚生多士,感覺魚生很是新鮮,上面配的汁醬也是美味的,唯一比較欠缺是在魚生下的多士。雖然是用橄欖油 煎香的,但看來是橄欖油下太多了,感覺很油膩。所以最後只吃了 那些魚生就放棄那甚是油膩的多士了。

每人一份的 香煎鵝肝 味道適中 可能是分量沒有很大所以沒有很油膩的感覺,質素非常好。

有關於哪 意大利粉的部分, 黑松露忌廉汁醬長通粉黑松露蠻香的, 做得不錯。 倒是那吞拿魚蕃茄汁意粉, 吞拿魚部分做得幾鹹,若只是吃蕃茄醬意粉部分感覺是美味的,但如加了吞拿魚的話就稍為鹹了一點,有點失色。

主菜部分我們選了他Signature Dish的羊扒。 medium rare的羊扒 肉質嫩滑 汁醬味道也佳。 倒是羊的味道 沒有很濃,所以沒有預期中那 羊香撲鼻的感覺, 感覺只是 75分左右的水準。

甜品部分, 水果啫喱的酒香, 加滿滿的水果, 感覺誠意滿分。 復活蛋的那芝麻布丁,有濃濃的芝麻香味做得也非常好, 拿破崙也不錯。那小桃撻質感有點硬但甜度適中。 反而想說一下他的 apple crumble, 不知道是不是放在加熱的盤中太久了, apple crumble是濕的,不夠乾身香口, 加上雲呢拿汁 亦不夠濃稠, 這一味甜品倒是有點遜色。

因為是生日,所以餐廳特別也送上 寫有生日快樂的朱古力牌 作為慶祝, 感覺倒是窩心。 再加上現在是復活節期間復活兔出現在餐廳內為每張枱的客人拍照 也 增加了節日氣氛。

整體來說感覺 質數比之前稍為遜色了一點, 但整體來說還是一個高質素及擁有舒適用餐環境的高級餐廳,是值得推薦的。 若有特別日子,是可選擇的好地方。

We have not been to Sabatini for quite some years and in celebration of my birthday, my wife and I decided to revisit this famous restaurant.  Came around 730 pm, the restaurant was already quite a full house and we were led to our table.  You could hear the music band singing a birthday song to a table of six.  To my surprise, the menu was not all "autentico" Italian dishes as I expected.   In addition, though the waiters were quite attentive, they were not active in recommending dishes or wine

To my surprise, the menu was not all "autentico" Italian dishes as I expected.   In addition, though the waiters were quite attentive, they were not active in recommending dishes or wines to customers.  I strongly believe that a little education would certainly bring more value to the dishes and customers would have more satisfaction.  For example, rather than just saying the names of the breads, a little explanation on how to fully savour these breads, where they from would certainly bring delights to the cusotmers.

Anyway, we figured out the menu ourselves and ordered a Lobster soup, a carpaccio with truffles as starters followed by Prime beef Sirloin and Lobster Linguine as main course. Overall the food was good but not exceptional.  The linguine was a bit overcooked and the Sirloin was less tender than expected.
The highlight was the music performance and the lady, with such a stunning voice, melted our heart.  Apart from singing the usual birthday song, we requested them to perform Ed Sheeran "Perfect" .... and they delivered it "perfectly".

Compare to our previous visit, we were a mix of feeling.  We love the place but the food was not as delightful as before.  The performance certainly added a lot of valuable points.  I hope the restaurant is not heading to "classic" category, i.e. keeping the routine services they have been practising many years.  Then they might gradually fall behind to those new comers.

I thought Asia (Hong Kong and Japan in particular) always has the toughest children’s policy in the entire universe. Most fine dining restaurants I know only welcome kids over 6 years old with some even making the cut at 10. I guess they want to send the message out there that they don't really welcome diners with children. Plain and simple.Now, here’s our problem. Our little one’s second birthday is coming up and we’re looking for a good place to celebrate it with our family. Where should we go

Now, here’s our problem. Our little one’s second birthday is coming up and we’re looking for a good place to celebrate it with our family. Where should we go with most fine dining restaurants not wanting our business? We cut our list down to three places (Sabatini, Lobster's Bar and Angelini) before finally picking Sabatini, the classy Italian restaurant at Royal Plaza Hong Kong.

Starter portion of lunch is a choice between an antipasti buffet, pan seared foie gras on toast with parma ham and melon or soup of the day. I think all of us ended up taking the antipasti bar.

They have some really nice ham at the antipasti bar (though smaller selection than before). Their smoked salmon also one of my favorites (Grade: 4/5).

This is a really nice tagliatelle with some lovely bite. But we won't be expecting anything less from Sabatini, will we? Maybe a little bit more pancetta would make this even nicer (Grade: 3.5/5).

Grilled lamb chops with roasted potatoes and vegetables - I don't think we ever get tired of this dish. The lamb chops were succulent and juicy as always. It came with very simple garnish but that's just fine with us (Grade: 4/5).

Pan seared U.S. pork chop with mushrooms and marsala sauce - Some of us had the pan seared pork chop as our main dish. The presentation does like a little like those from the local cha chaan tengs but of course, this was quite a bit more tasty (Grade: 3.5/5).

I always love their dessert trolley. Still recalled they used to allow picking three desserts, but now just two. I went with their tiramisu and Saint Honoré and both turned out to be excellent (Grade: 4/5).

This is a very good meal without burning a hole in my pocket. The food was nothing fancy nor pretentious. Just some old-fashioned honest cooking and everyone seems to enjoy it.

Note: Back to this point I was making about fine dining restaurants not liking diners with kids. I want to share this message I got from Le Taillevent, a fine dining institution in Paris currently with 2 Michelin stars. I wrote them asking about their kids' policy before my Christmas trip and this was how they responded.

長腳蟹夠鮮甜,生牛肉片加黑松露十分香,值得推薦!
主菜選了當季的黑松露燒雞&海鮮意粉。去年在米蘭一家人氣餐廳吃過意粉後回來香港一直都沒找到好似當地那麼好吃的,這次在這裡終於找回來這個味道了,難怪周圍很多義大利人也來吃。至於燒雞,雞肉很嫩,裡面卷著黑松露,不需要特別調味都吃起來很美味,不過沒有覺得特別驚艷。

1月係我既生日月, 無論家人朋友都會紛紛咁約我慶祝.今個weekend我就被約左去食一個weekend brunch. 二嬸約我時我已經勁唔好意思, 因為呢個brunch真係好貴呀... 餐廳在酒店既3樓場內既裝潢真係好classic, 門口有Live band 迎接好有Feeling. 二嬸book左間房內,我地有專人在房中private serving, 嘩好有氣派呀!!!呢個weekend brunch 頭盤, salad , seafood, soup, dessert 係自己攞既.其他野都會安排一份一份serve上位.  除左main course 所有野都可以無限refill. 實在太多野食, 我都花多眼亂. 第一時間當然係唔會放過我最鐘意既SEAFOOD啦!! 有龍蝦, 長腳蟹, 蟹鉗同蝦. 仲要有Parma Ham呢舊哈蜜瓜真係超級甜呀~~~~~~呀~~~~個server 都好好俾時間我地食頭盤其間都會on & off 咁serve唔同既野.第一樣: Fresh Sashimi Bruschetta 同埋 Scrambled egg with black truffle

嘩... Black Truffle 係好好味不過都不及呢一個. 我未試過三款唔同既魚生放在一塊toast 上再加一個homemade Italian sauce. 好鮮好鮮好鮮呀!

呢件邪惡既鵝肝真係滿足到我多重既感觀. 上枱已經成件藝術品咁滿足左視覺, 一陣陣鵝肝既香味飄埋黎滿足左嗅覺,一啖咬落上香濃既味道再流出油脂滿足左味覺. 鵝肝真係可以成為我一世既好朋友.

之後就係呢個一啖既homemade pasta, 一個係白汁三文魚長通粉另一個係home recipe tomato paste pasta. 2個既味道都好係正常味就冇咩特別大既驚喜.可能鵝肝衝擊後令到呢個有點失色.

黎到main course 既環節我就食tuna, 老公就食呢度既其中一個signature dish 羊架. 個server話食完呢度既羊架出到去就食唔番呢個味道. 講到咁真係好難唔試...
我本身係食唔到羊既因為我好怕SO. 佢講到用傳統方法炭火燒既我就即管試一口, wow完全唔so仲好嫩有小小食緊和牛既口感. 而我既tuna 就用煎左外面熟, 保留到個心既鮮嫩又唔會食左太多既魚生.

壓軸唔小得既就一定係呢度既甜品. Server 同Chef 夾好安排左2個platter送左去我地既房中(其實出面都可以自己攞, 不過佢好好人整到靚靚樣樣有一件俾我地試下,好似一個dessert birthday platter 咁)
Milk Pudding, Lemon Tart, Cream Burlee, Napoleon, Saint Honore... 件件都好優質! 話晒係意大利餐廳點會少左Tiramisu, 而且都係呢度既另一個Signature. 個cream個part真係好味到唔識形容呀. 香! 濃!滑! 薄薄一層下面係一層咖啡餅底... 又將成餐brunch推到更到令一個極至呀!
題外話/補充資料: 要有不停聽到Happy Birthday 既準備. 因為我地食左一餐已經聽左6次所以我地都唔洗佢再黎我地度再唱啦

已不是第一次來到sabatini 品嚐正宗意大利菜了,為配合公司聖誕lunch , 特意選了此餐廳。一如既往的好,沒有令到我們失望,餐廳保持了聖誕節傳統氣氛,而食物及服務質素亦很好,讓我們渡過了一個愉快的午餐😋先說頭盤,侍應們很貼心,把Parma ham 分別擺在枱上,方便我們能品嚐別的頭盤,而且哈密瓜很清甜,值得一讚👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻另外,意大利通粉毫不吝嗇的鋪滿了黑松露醬汁,色香味俱全,意大利飯是我覺得做得十分出色的一道菜,很飽肚,味很濃~ 主菜方面:魚外脆肉嫩,很有鮮味,有驚喜,另外我還試了一小塊牛排,意想不到的好吃,比起我在其他5 星酒店主打牛排的餐廳還更出色~值得一試再試.....

Sometimes well established restaurants are well established for a good reason, for Sabatini the quality of its food is definitely a very good reason for even picky eaters to come back again and again. Started with a nice octopus salad, one of the few places in Hong Kong that offers such good quality octopus. 非常之開心好友升職,請了我去懷舊的意大利餐廳Sabatini一起去慶祝一餐,這裏的裝修很懷舊和有意大利風情。今晚有特別的菜式Porcini mushrooms specialties Menu, 於是我點了三款不同的菜色,生牛肉薄片伴牛肝菌配芝士火箭菜, 生牛肉很新鮮簿簿每片配埋牛肝菌芝士火箭菜食落去很配合。 我們還點了兩杯白酒!栗子濃湯伴牛肝菌配西班牙火腿泡沫, 栗子味真的很濃湯裡面有牛肝菌粒一齊飲好好味。牛肝菌芝士意大利飯配黑松露菌, 這個意大利飯都很有水準。還有意大利海鮮扁意粉,所有海鮮都非常新鮮。當然唔少得甜品啦,一個薰衣草梳乎厘配雲呢嗱雪糕, 薰衣草味非常之重味蕾都感受到陣陣味道。再加埋Tiramisu, 真的很滿足。

當然唔少得甜品啦,一個薰衣草梳乎厘配雲呢嗱雪糕, 薰衣草味非常之重味蕾都感受到陣陣味道。

This Italian restaurant is located inside The Royal Garden Hotel in TST, and in my opinion it is one of the top Italian restaurants in town. Being here a few times, I always had a good time and this occasion is no exception. We ordered two appetizers to share, one being the Grilled Octopus and Scallops Salad and the other is the Parma Ham with Melon. The staff has arranged our portions to be served on the same plate, so we don't need to do that on our own and creating unnecessary messiness. The octopus got the good chewy bite but not rubbery, and the scallops are fresh, full of flavors and seasoned beautifully, with the salad having a blend of basil, olive oil, tomato and greens. The Parma ham with melon is another signature, with the ham permeating the savory aromas and the saltiness is balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the melon, which is juicy, and the two appetizers certainly started off the dinner with a high expectation for us.

Then we have the signature pasta of the restaurant, the Linguine Sabatini, which essentially is a seafood linguine. The pasta is freshly made in-house, with clams, mussels, scallops and prawn prepared in a tomato sauce. Nothing can compare with freshly made pasta in my opinion, and the texture is something you won't be able to find otherwise. The seafood are fresh and having the great flavors of the sea, complemented by the acidity of the tomato to enhance the freshness. Another great dish.

For the main course I ordered the Dove Sole with Porcini and Beans, while my wife went for the Grilled Lamb Chops. The fish is very tasty, pan-fried nicely with butter, showing a golden sheen, great texture and seasoning. But I am most impressed by the porcini, which is a profound flavor intensity and I guess it is cooked in a sauce to have such concentration.

The lamb chops are equally good with the flesh tender and juicy, grilled perfectly to medium level as requested. There are some aged balsamic vinegar on the side to provide the sweetness to supplement the sauce.

For dessert I ordered the Chocolate Molten Cake with Vanilla Ice-cream, while my wife went for Tiramisu. The molten cake is good, with the rich chocolate oozing out upon cutting the cake, and there is a citrus sauce on the side to provide a tartness to balance the rich sweetness, and the vanilla ice-cream has a good vanilla note and right sugar level.

Although I didn't try the tiramisu, just from the look of it already won over the heart of us. The chocolate powder sprinkled on top has the nice spoon and fork shape, and the rich mascarpone cheese is creamy and indulgent.

Wrapping up I ordered a double espresso and the experience in total was one of satisfaction and enjoyment. The service is nice and friendly, without too much intrusion to us during the meal, though I hope they can spend more time explaining the dishes to us before serving. There is also a live band with musicians playing the instruments and singing to provide a romantic atmosphere for all.

With two bottles of still water as well, the bill on the night was $2,868 after a 10% discount from the Citibank credit card promotion. Considering the quality of the food, the environment, services and overall satisfaction it is of good value in my opinion.

My overall rating is 73/100.
