,海鮮菜式質量雖有點參差,但又未有令人特別激動或產生反感,反而廚房一窩蜂咁出餸就有啲令食客要追住黎食,食物入口時已經冇上枱時咁美味
,偏高嘅價位理應容許貴客慢慢細嚐晚餐吧。

一入門口明明有好多枱,帶我地到餐廳正中間2人枱而無景的(周圍都是吉的),然後我問可唔可以俾張凳我放,因為好多隨身物品,侍應話唔可以因為會阻住其他枱,但其他枱全都是吉的(只有15%full)。😰我是來消費,窗邊枱又冇,又有咁多不可以,咁不如唔嚟啦!!我沒有坐下來吃晚飯就走。very bad experience becoz of the hostess. There are many vacant tables, she didn’t bring us to near window but in the middle of the restaurant. Then, we ask if she can give us one more chair, as we’ve many belongings, she said no cos all tables are booked, but it’s just 15% full plus it’s near to 8pm already (close at 10pm). I’d like to spend at a more welcoming

早排同朋友嚟試佢地既lunch set,而係有驚喜的餐廳。成間餐廳以法國南部嘅沙灘為主題,運用綠色、木同壁畫營造成個氣氛,而餐廳提供半露天嘅坐位,可以感受到陽光,同埋非常之有外國嘅感覺!水方面,必須要加$20選擇無限添飲sparkling water或者樽裝水。Lunch Menu都會因應季節而改變,而lunch set都係大概$138起,包括頭盤同主菜。而頭盤係紅菜頭沙律配西柚&蜂蜜芥未醬,份量都好大份,而且酸酸甜甜非常之開胃。另外佢哋都配有麵包,而麵包都係熱辣辣咁送上!而主菜我就選擇左鱸魚(HKD148)配芥末泥、胡蘿蔔同豆瓣醬,魚柳煎得好香脆,配合埋嗰個醬汁同芥末泥令到成個魚柳都好好食😋另外我亦都叫咗佢哋嘅羊腿(HKD168) 配意大利玉米粥同迷迭香醬,羊肉非常之柔嫩,而且食落有非常之香嘅羊肉味,而個意大利玉米粥有甜甜嘅味道。總括來講,餐廳都非常之有誠意,個人都表示會再嚟!

A satisfying evening at this lovely bistro and enjoyed every moment of it. Started with Mackeral Rillette w/ toast - it's a good sharing plate to tantelise our taste buds prior to the mains. I'd give it a 3.5/5. The stars of our meal were the Gnocchi and the Pigeon. The stars of our meal were the Gnocchi and the Pigeon. Gnocchi Maison was so yummy and one of the best I've tried in HK - chewy soft fluffy and perfectly tasty with the sauce that's not too salty. Pigeon was cooked just right with crispy skin and gammy tender meat , love the artichoke and vegetable sides as well which go really well with the Pigeon. Similar to the Gnocchi, the sauce complements the Pigeon really well. I'd give 5/5 for the Gnocchi and 4.5-5/5 for the Pigeon !

Last but not least - rounded up the meal with an orange flavored Brioche pastry. It's a pretty light dessert with crispy Brioche and the cream isn't too thick..nice way to end the meal. I'd give it 3.5/5.

Ambience is casual and nice - great for catch up with friends. we sat facing the road, quiant environment and brought back memories of traveling in France..

One of my favourites of the night : Carpaccio de loup de Mer: incredibly refreshing, a perfect dish to bring out flavours of the sea *chef’s kiss*Also enjoyed the Terrine de foie gras de Maison: such smooth, sweet foie gras! Went wonderfully with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.The Salade Niçoise was (of course) a very traditional salad with toppings aplenty, but I will try the octopus one next time! I have a feeling that salad may be more fitting for my palate.And then the Gnocchi maison, Parmes

We finished off the meal with Gratin de Framboises - very nice and light, with big fresh raspberries and strawberry ice cream, so good!

This definitely was my worst dining out experience... We arrived at the restaurant at 7:50pm, by 9:30pm the food was still not on the table. Considering we placed the order in for one and half hours, several staff went for checking and saying the food was on the way and it never came. By 9:35pm, we were so fed up and left with no food... !! Restaurants close at 10pm, we won’t have enough time to finish anyway.. It was frustrating..What interesting was one staff (maybe customer) got so drunk

What interesting was one staff (maybe customer) got so drunk around 8:30pm and starting chasing around in the restaurant and he felt on a table.

The restaurant has couple tables by the entrance semi somewhat outdoorsy area with a “tree” in the middle. My party was seated exactly behind the tree right next to the reception podium, the table was quite tiny but the most annoying part was that the table was kind of in the way, too close to the reception. So there were always tension while the server walked to the reception to greet the guests or getting the menu!

Anyway, it took a while for our starters to arrive and even the server came to us to ensure that they were coming...the vol au vent that I ordered was pretty tasty that I almost finished the whole thing (given the portion is pretty generous), unfortunately, the barramundi that my mom ordered was just okay, the potatoes came with it were bland.
Dessert on the other hand was good, we shared the lemon tart and I would like to go back just for that!

The restaurant offers a rest variety of wines with reasonably prices! Nice bistro to enjoy couple of glasses and people watching if you manage to grab the two tables by the entrance!

聽聞呢間餐廳嘅裝修好靚,所以趁weekday得閒就book來試吓。一入到餐廳,最吸引到我就係有一棵真嘅檸檬樹,感覺非常chill,坐喺隔離嗰啲都係外國人,唔講以為自己去咗法國。Lunch就有set Menu揀,可以揀still 或者sparkling water。個人本身就好鍾意飲sparkling water 。今次自己一個人食,就叫咗Beef Bavette Gratinated Potatoes,牛扒質素麻麻地,反而個薯仔好有驚喜,同燒汁好夾,份量就應該淨係夠一個女仔食。由於有下場,所以今次就冇試到個甜品。希望晚市開番,可以試吓佢哋dinner!

Free corkage before they got the liquor license!Personally prefer starters only for brunch. Burrata cheese and fresh tomatoes never fails to me, the tomatoes were sooo sweet. Stuffed mediterranean vegetables were interesting too. Love their chocolate tart, it was so good! I've never been to the south of France, and at this rate, I never will. I imagine lots of yachts, beaches and tasty Mediterranean food.  Well, two out of three ain't bad for Sheung Wan. Nissa la Bella (Nice (the city) the beautiful) delivers terrific food and ranks among the more enjoyable casual French restaurants in Hong Kong. Replacing the former Upper Modern Bistro, it opened in the fall of this disastrous year, but was packed on a regular Tuesday in December for lunch when we went.

You can see they've swapped all of Upper Modern's fittings for something lighter and warmer, but the size and spaciousness remains. I think the orange and pastel shades work at conveying a sunny, beach-y atmosphere, to the degree it's possible on a side street in Tai Ping Shan. The service, with the restaurant being new, was a bit shaky with incomplete knowledge of the menu and orders coming in strange intervals, but was still very obliging.

I really like the a la carte menu - full of inexpensive, small dishes, as well as some interesting mains, it's well suited for lingering meals over wine or just a quick bite.

Described as a pizza from Nice, it's caramelized onions on flatbread with olives and anchovies, a balance that works better than you'd think. Flat bread was fluffy but still crisp. Great starter, and easy to share

Far better than the photo would imply... it's a spreadable flavor bomb that isn't as fishy as you'd imagine. All the joy of rillette without goopy duck or pork (though of course the mackerel is quite heavy)

My favorite dish - I don't know a gnocchi in HK that can match it for pillowiness and bite (Trattoria Monteverdi in SYP makes great gnocchi but for a ridiculous price). The parmesan sauce with girolles is pure decadence and the perfect consistency to coat each piece. Fantastic and a must-order

Seared Mackerel with Polenta and Puttanesca

This was the main in the lunch course, and wow! (I didn't take a picture of the completely fine poached egg starter salad). Mackerel is a workhorse fish, and you don't expect it to surprise you... but the creaminess of the polenta with the savory acidity of the Puttanesca go so well with the fishy oiliness of the mackerel. Simple ingredients elevated by technique. If this is just a one-off lunch item, it bodes well for this place's future

We also had their Fish Soup (Soupe de poisson), which was served with shredded cheese and  a saffron mayo... a perfect example of how the dish should taste.

I'm a huge fan of their food as you can see, and when we went it was still BYOB, so even more joy. Strongly recommended if you like unfussy but delicious French food, or if you need somewhere to relax after a long day of Tai Ping Shan alleyway Instagramming. It's not a cheap-cheap meal, but I think it's worth it for the quality and variety - our meal cost about $750 for 2 , with all this food but no drinks. Interested to see their wine list when they get a liquor license. Definitely worth a visit!

今天同朋友去午餐,食物ok,set lunch 選擇都幾多,環境都唔錯,坐得都舒服,服務都可以,但係個廚師喺而家風頭火勢,都唔戴口罩行嚟行去,所以疫情其間唔會再去,完。

I came on a weekday for lunch with a friend as he wanted to try a new restaurant so he recommended this. Ambience was nice and relaxing and the food was fresh and delicious. The chocolate tart took a while but when it arrived I realised the tart the piping hot straight from the oven and so I thought it was well worth the wait. #xmas20
