I know this place is quite hit lately, and they just opened up for reservations. Came here twice because I want to see what's so good about it. The pork belly is mainly pure fat, most people can't eat it! The chicken is dry and no taste. The best is probably the chicken wings. Seriously why people queued up for it before?

唯一抵讚係happy hours 內叫一杯cocktail 可以送french fries 或熱狗,抵到笑 😂 fries無咩特別,但送你一大盆,唔沾茄汁,沾乳豬醬,對外國人黎講應該幾得意幾特別幾有特色風味幾fusion. 熱狗先抵讚,香草靚肉腸,非常juicy,仲加有pickles同辣汁。麵包烤烘過,又熱又脆,好鬼好食。

Cocktails 我果杯叫kentucky colada, 如果我無記錯既話,好易入口,但酒精濃度算高,證明無偷工減料 😂 🍸基本上所有cocktails都好甜,同其他pub/bar相比,仲要再甜。

食完鹹野梗係要試埋佢個signature甜品Coconut Lime Pie!可惜當天佢話有啲品質既問題不能供應,最後試左個Rhubarb & Strawberry Crumble,唔係特別好食,食完唔會再掛住佢嗰啲。好失望食唔到個Lime Pie呀!

總括來說,呢度係一間出色嘅餐廳,所有肉類燒得好好食,其他食物都好有水準。但價錢唔平,食個lunch無叫野飲都要3,4百個人。有機會都想再番去試吓個Lime Pie既。

受到朋友介紹話呢度嘅肉好好食,所以我決定黎呢度試一試。 Meats 位處於soho,外表同附近嘅酒吧裝修同感覺差唔多,但其實佢係一間專門食扒類嘅餐廳。叫咗個lamb shank 同hanger steak。Lamb shank加上紅酒作為調味,成功將羊肉的鮮味帶出黎,但都可能係因為我鍾意食羊所以覺得特別好味,再加上經過調味嘅creamy mash簡直係完美。 另一方面,hanger steak肉質鮮甜而且廚師亦都將牛扒控制到5成熟左右,牛扒唔會太熟而肉質變硬,口感一流。Meats位置喺soho 非常方便,大家可以係食飽過後去附近嘅酒吧輕鬆下為忙碌嘅工作生活帶來一點放鬆。

This is the second time I came to this restaurant and this restaurant still impresses me. My friend and I did not feel hungry, but there were lots of choices of small dishes to choose from. We focused on the appetizers and the side dishes, which, after we finished the night, thought it was perfect, but maybe one dish too much. The one side dish we had to get was the crispy cauliflower, which had tahini dressing, garam masala, and curry leaves. Absolutely delicious. We also tried the mac n' cheese. Although tasted good and served in a small bowl, it was too much. The dish itselv was very heavy with all the pimento cheese and bread crumbs on top. It was too much carbs all in one dish. With our drinks, it was a great night and service was excellent. Would go there again for sure!

We had the hanger steak (+$45) and chicken waffle for mains. The hanger steak was SO GOOD- so tender and juicy. It was served with Korean bbq jalapeño relish and house fries. Definitely my favourite dish of the day!

The chicken waffle was pretty nice too, with avocado spread over the waffles which were unfortunately a tad soggy.

For sides, we had the “Slightly Spicy Fried Rice”. It’s basically a Korean kimchi fried rice done in a Western way. Pretty delicious and I really liked the soft-boiled egg on top!

侍應有介紹是日精選的Skirt Steak牛側腹肉,那就不如來一份。Skirt 這個部位是扁扁的一條,不同平常的厚切大啖肉。這部分的肌肉經常運動,所以油花分佈得比較平均,吃起上來肉味明顯。處理方法是直接燒烤,嫌不夠味的可沾點邊上的鹽碎。

Side dish方面點了個飽肚的Mac N Cheese焗芝士通心粉,甜椒芝士醬Pimento Cheese濃郁,舖上滿滿的炸煙肉碎及墨西哥辣椒片,很有南美風味。不過就較膩口,有點過咸。

除了牛以外,我們選了一款烤春雞試試。份量有半隻,香草的味道相當突出,離遠已經聞到。肉質沒有被烤至乾柴,但是香料塗得太多,吃下去會覺得偏咸。望一望menu,應該有款醬汁MEATS Chicken Sauce配搭,隨之淋在雞肉上。原來就是外國吃燒雞會配的那款,比較普通。

吃至最後,大家都被肉類塞滿胃袋,宣告全飽,果然「全肉餐」是不容小覷的。餐廳裏混雜著談話說笑的聲浪以及讓我們要拉開嗓子傾偈的背景EDM音樂,所以沒有令我們逗留太久。埋單價格相當合理,似乎在中環不容易找到200內能吃飽的西餐,因此MEATS作為Late Night Drink前的一頓豐富晚餐也屬不錯。

I was overall not impressed with Meats, but there's a possibility by expectations were a bit high as I had heard good things about it. The heirloom tomato salad was ok, a bit watery 5/10. The chicken croquettes were probably one of the better dishes, but a bit too oily 8/10. We had chicken and waffles and the pork belly with eggs and potatoes for our mains. Their slightly spicy fried rice was good overall, but again a little do rich/greasy/creamy 7/10. Portions were smallish, so only after the rice were we truly full

The dessert a coconut lemon pie was not a satisfying end to the meal. The pie was ok, the topping which I can only describe as chalk tasted old and something carcinogenic, thought i don't know what it actually was. The coconut ice cream was the only really good part of the dessert - but don't know how much credit I can give them for that as not sure if it was house-made. 2/10 for dessert.

The decor of the place is quite funky, but also clunky. Service was actually mostly nice, but it was hard getting their attention. I do appreciate they were quite fast with our orders once placed and that they refilled our water without asking. But one server in particular was rude when she wanted to clear our plate and we said we weren't done. She came back and then asked "are you finally done?" and rolled her eyes. We were there for our Sunday lunch for a whooping 65 minutes so it's not that we were slow eaters or anything or the sort. She was either too eager for turnover (though many empty seats next to us) or she was having a bad day.

I won't recommend to friends.

如果要問占苗假日最喜歡做什麼?其實很簡單,就是可以同好朋友去嘆個悠閒舒適的Brunch,如果碰上食物水準出色的餐廳,更是錦上添花。然而,中環蘇豪一帶向來是嘆Brunch的好地方,當中正正就有一間是小弟一直想到的。 於是就趁假期時段,相約友好一同前往,並順道慶祝生日。拿起餐牌一看,非常抵吃,貫徹了Pirata集團的特式,有共享的頭盤、配菜及甜品,外加一道自選的主菜,份量十足。 餐廳的設計十分型格,金屬氣味濃厚,有點點懷舊屠房的氣息,而正中間就是半開放式玻璃窗廚房,可一覽廚師們的技藝,最重要的還是可以看見一件件美味的烤肉,令人想入非非。 點餐過後,就來了共享頭盤。首先以薄荷刁草酸忌廉調味的椰菜,份外清新開胃;接著的是非常美味的雞翼,用上MEATS特製的辣醬製作,吃來香辣惹味,而且還配上蓋芝士醬及西芹條,活活將改良了的水牛城雞翼放在面前。 差不多享用完頭盤之際,我們的主菜也送來了。小弟對Hanger Steak是情有獨鍾的,可是Pastmari Sandwich卻打動了我。來到後,沒有令我失望,因用上肥美帶嚼感的牛肋肉,油脂的甘香經烤焗過後,帶上少許微焦,伴隨著濃郁的煙燻香氣,與芝

差不多享用完頭盤之際,我們的主菜也送來了。小弟對Hanger Steak是情有獨鍾的,可是Pastmari Sandwich卻打動了我。來到後,沒有令我失望,因用上肥美帶嚼感的牛肋肉,油脂的甘香經烤焗過後,帶上少許微焦,伴隨著濃郁的煙燻香氣,與芝士、紅椰菜及酸瓜一起夾在香脆的麵包內,好吃得令人讚不絕口,歷久不散的油脂甘香,真是回味無窮。

另外的一份主菜是烤雞,看見廚房內的大烤爐不紋在烤著春雞,就知道是非常受歡迎的。雞肉烤得香口,肉質卻很嫩滑,不加調味已很好吃,若再淋上惹味的肉汁,真是滋味昇華了,而且也可用薯條來點肉汁來吃,也都是不錯的選擇。

除了主菜外,還有一盤以士拉差蛋黃醬來製作的炒飯,蒜香十足,而且帶少許辣勁,上面舖有一隻煎蛋,味道不錯,而且更發現炒飯中有不少烤肉粒,味道是惹味的,可是慢慢感到有一種羶味,細問之下才知道每天廚師都會用上不同的烤肉加進炒飯內,不幸的是當天加入了小弟不吃的羊肉,其實味道之強烈也不太感覺到,皆因美味,照吃可也。

其實要完全消滅所有食物,合兩人之力也有點吃力,更何況還有清新怡人的COCONUT LIME PIE作為甜品。在甜酸適中的青檸撻上放有椰子雪糕及插上蛋香霜脆片,味道相當平衡,更可清新一下味覺,為是日畫上完美的句號。

睇雜誌文章,講到好似好勁,去到食完發覺平平無奇。。。。頭盤推介octopus. 好腍,好好味,其他食物都ok 如果你食內臟可以試下雞肝/鴨肝。主菜份量足夠,推介porkchop同 雞,好味,羊脾就麻麻,牛都燒得好靚,可以一試。side dish 份量十足,炒飯太辣,如果唔食得辣唔好試,mac n cheese 係芝士味十足,可惜有點太膩。 環境方面略嘈及太迫,大隻仔大隻女坐得有點辛苦!!

Brunch was really good value, 2 starters, 1 main and 1 side and a dessert + 1 glass of prosecco, it was only 298hkd, no service charge as well....of course I tipped ....food was great and service was excellent, I come here quite often and will definitely recommend people to go!

Thanks to restaurant week, I was able to try out Meats with a great deal for brunch.I am not a big fan of tomatoes, eating raw tomatoes like this would be a task of "holding my breath and swallow them all". Since this was the first starter and I don't want to waste food, I decided to give it a go and actually finished them all (not really enjoyed it as I still don't like tomatoes much). The cheese made the tomatoes less "fishy" and slimy and more bearable with. The watermelon and cucumber slides

I am not a big fan of tomatoes, eating raw tomatoes like this would be a task of "holding my breath and swallow them all". Since this was the first starter and I don't want to waste food, I decided to give it a go and actually finished them all (not really enjoyed it as I still don't like tomatoes much). The cheese made the tomatoes less "fishy" and slimy and more bearable with. The watermelon and cucumber slides in it were definitely my life saver. Do not really trust the critic of this dish as I really hate eating tomatoes.

It said "Chicken Croquettes" on the menu, so I thought there would be more than one. But since I went on my own, there was only one for me. Seriously it was smoking hot, when I cut it open, the tender sliced chicken fresh was still smoking. It tasted so good with the garlic sauce.

The Works is definitely the star here. When it was served, the slow cooked egg was so running that it slid towards the table right in front of my eyes. I tried to save it with my knife and fork by putting it back on top of the smoked pork belly. After some juggle, it broke before I took a picture of the dish...Such a tragedy. Regardless of the broken runny egg, the Works was fantastic! I love everything in the dish so much, the portion of lean meat and fat of the smoked pork belly was right to the point, and it was crispy and juicy. I don't know why they are called ugly potatoes, but they taste so good with their skin toasted. I dearly love the hot and spicy jalapeno sausages. The Works was surprisingly filling, probably because of the pork belly.

This Coconut lemon custard tart was also very enjoyable. I love the coconut ice cream more than the lemon custard. The tart base wasn't really crunchy nor soft bread like...Didn't care much about the something crisps on top, not tasty.

Booked this place for Restaurant Week as the menu looked appealing. All was alright until they served us the wrong dessert. When we clarified and wanting to send the dessert back, the waitress insisted it was the right dessert, that if we want the other dessert, it's ok. Then when she was about to take the wrong dessert back, she rudely said since it was already served, we might as well have it! They did serve the right dessert in the end, but the waitress' attitude ruined it for us. Pirata Gro
