!肉質淋到幾乎唔洗用刀切開,好易起骨,berry味醬汁酸甜度剛好,幾醒胃,加上上面鋪左其他香料,有提子乾開心果碎,口感豐富,夾埋鴨肉好味到要清晒佢!!

I've been impressed with restaurants from Pirata Group. This is the third out of the four outlets I've tried. Like Pici, Meats doesn't take reservations, so my friends and I decided to go early, at 7pm on a Saturday, to be exact to avoid crowds. They don't seat until everyone is present, so I had to wait for some laggers before being seated. Like Pici, Meats doesn't take reservations, so my friends and I decided to go early, at 7pm on a Saturday, to be exact to avoid crowds. They don't seat until everyone is present, so I had to wait for some laggers before being seated. We were seated immediately when everyone arrived. 

Situated in the old Jaspas venue, the interior is comfortable and happening. The main focus was the see-through grill/kitchen area. With its name, menu items are primarily meat oriented. They have an "omakase" option for $420, where the chef chooses 8 of the restaurant's favourite dishes for the table to share. Note, everyone at the table must choose this option. We decided it was too much for us and ordered a la carte. 

For starters, we ordered Roasted Chicken Croquettes with roasted garlic dip. It was amazingly good, perfectly deep fried with the right amount of chicken and mashed potatoes.

For mains, we ordered the night's special, Grilled Skirt Steak atop Foie Gras seasoned with sea salt and spring onions. The meat very very tender and tasty, however, it was a tad too salty.

Next came the Iberico Presa (pork) with black garlic and miso better and pork cracklings. We originally mistaken it as beef because of the colour of the meat was very similar. The flavour was not bad, wished the meat was a bit tastier.

This was followed by the Rotisserie Chicken with chicken sauce. The meat was very tender and the sauce was the highlight.

Along with the mains, we ordered a bunch of sides. All of which were excellent. We ordered Heirloom Tomatoes with pickled cucumber, mint, ricotta salata - very refreshing and had strong tomato flavour. Glasgow Salad (it's really skinny fries). We ended up ordering two portions because it was that good! Ugly Potatoes cooked in chicken juices and garlic followed - very flavourful! Lastly came the Slightly Spicy Fried Rice with meat of the day, fried egg and sriracha mayo - blended well together and had strong flavours. I usually can't take spicy and thought it was ok.

The disappointment were the desserts. We ordered the Pear Tarte Tatin with bourbon caramel and vanilla ice cream. The pear tasted strange and the tart was quite doughy.

We also ordered the Coconut Lime Pie with lime curd, meringue and ice cream. Nothing much could be said except it's not worth ordering. 

Despite the disappointment with the desserts, I would still return to try other savoury dishes. Service was really good. By the time we finished, a crowd formed outside so the staff wanted to turn the tables, but they didn't pressure us too much to leave. They were nice and hinted to us it was time to leave, which we gladly asked for the check.

We got beef tartare, grilled rib eye and ‘ugly potatoes’ - which are baked potatoes cooked with chicken juices. Everything tasted great! I want to especially point out beef tartare, it was of excellent quality and just perfectly made! Rib eye steak was soft and tender, a bit fatty for my taste, but my husband loved it.
We also shared a desert, a lime tart with coconut ice-cream, and it is seriously to die for, even for me, who usually doesn’t like anything of lemon/lime taste. The crust is thin and crispy (not hard at all!), filling was creamy and tasted very gently, and coconut ice-cream is my absolute favourite!
I also need to mention their perfectly made Aperol Spritz!
Another great thing about MEATS is no service charge, and all the tips you leave go to staff - which, of course, motivates the staff to provide good service and motivates the customers leave tips without feeling robbed, versus places with 10% service sharge and terrible service.
The headline says it all - this is definitely the best opening of the last months.

The porchetta was ridiculously delicious. Very well seasoned and so tender with a nice amount of fat.

Roasted Chicken was juicy and tender. Nice seasoning on the skin. I think there was a bit of spice and lime zest. Nice bright flavor for this dish.

The fried rice was wow. A little bit spicy and each bite made you wanna eat more and more.

So far we were loving every dish. Then came the mains; rib eye steak, beef cheeks and lettuce with ranch dressing.

I actually really enjoyed the lettuce. Crisp and sweet. The dressing was surprisingly refreshing with a bit of yogurt, dill and cucumber. Not sure how that's ranch dressing but I really liked it.

We did not like the beef cheeks. It was a bit salty, hard, dry and flat. I think we each took and bite and didn't go back to it.

The rib eye was nice but lacked flavor because the gravy on it was kinda meh. Ours was also a bit overcooked.

By the time it was Desserts, I was already stuffed! But the lemon curd tart with the coconut ice cream was awesome. Really enjoyed that. Tho the curd can be a little less sweet.

The mocha mousse thingy was a bit heavy. The chocolate mousse was super bitter. My friends enjoyed it but it was a bit too much for me. Tho I know it was good quality chocolate they used.

Overall, I'd definitely come back again. Even if just for the appetizers!!!

We ordered a bottle of wine and also added a carafe afterwards.

So our total was $610 per person.

Understand that this is from the same group as Tokyolima and I think this is another nicely done casual dinning restaurants in Hong Kong that actually offers good food and a decent price. Starting with a simple two pager menu (food on one side drinks on the other). Also some pretty fancy utensils. Kitchen facing seats which allows your eyes to taste the food before your taste buds. I kind of like this restaurant. It's got the casual environment with nicely prepared food and the price was kind of fair too. Services I suppose could be better but guess overall it's still considered good.

Came early on a Fri to get a good table as reservations are not accepted. However for 5 people we were given a table fit for 4 because according to the maitre d, "it's Friday night and i can fit more people on the larger tables". Really poor.We ordered various dishes, some such as the chicken wings were overly salty. then others such as the octopus were delicious. wasn't so impressed by the meat dishes which were overall very salty.Unfortunately they haven't got their act together yet, and if th

The place is described as a meat bar and that is exactly how the layout is. It is dark, cramped. Seating is on bar-like tables throughout the restaurant. There are a few larger tables  but not that many.


They sat us in front of the window facing into the kitchen where we saw all sorts of juicy cuts sliced before our eyes.

Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge so all tips go to the staff. What you get is a very simple menu stating the various meat mains, meat based appetizers and the sides and dessert.

As it was our first time there, we decided to splurge and get the Chef tasting menu for $420 per person. And so we began.




Roasted Chicken Croquettes. This was AMAZING. The coating was crunchy. It was served on a bed of savory yet tart garlic mayo.

Chicken Liver Pate.  The liver pate was in a jar with some vinegar beads and coco nibs that you are to mix together. All served on toasted buttery brioche. There was a lot of pate so spread heavily or just scoop it into your mouth like the glutton you are. The pate was rich and smooth. It wasn't too thick and the acidity from the vinegar beads helped lighten the richness of the pate.

Smoked Brisket Pastrami. This was interesting as I've always had pastrami in thin slices, made into a sandwich with mustard and pickles. And this was exactly that minus the bread.  I guess you can call it gluten free? The mustard was made with beer but I didn't really see much of a difference. I think it just made this OMG! WOW BEER!! However, the pastrami was great. Cooked to a medium rare, it was just like eating the meat straight from the deli.

Heirloom Tomatoes. A light refreshing moment from the meat. This was different types of tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, mint and ricotta. I loved the pickled cucumbers the most as it was light and refreshing. It almost tasted like watermelon.

Rotisserie Chicken. Served with a rich chicken gravy. Actually, the gravy was great. The chicken was a bit dry at parts and wasn't as flavored as we would have liked. A bit disappointing even though it looked fantastic.

Heritage Carrots. Roasted carrots drizzled in honey and topped with yogurt. Boyfriend was happy as a clam as they were sticky sweet. A vegetable he approved of.

Roast Suckling Pig. The chef tasting menu included a roast suckling pig that night. I assume this rotates. This was AMAZING. Topped with a very greasy pesto, the skin was crunchy. The meat so moist, it literally fell apart with my fork. I did not need a knife. The highlight of the entire meal.

Glasgow Salad. This was what they considered a salad. It was fries tossed in chicken salt with a miso ketchup. The miso ketchup made it taste like hoisin sauce so I really didn't dip into it. The fries, however, were great. Crispy and seasoned just right. A definitely boyfriend approved salad.

Coconut Lime Pie. The menu ended with dessert and that was a coconut lime pie. Lime curd with meringue and ice cream. I loved the meringue. Usually I don't as it just taste like sugar. But this was soft and not overly sweet. Great for dunking into the excellent lime curd and ice cream. The crust was soft shortbread and just crumbly. Rustic and beautiful end to a meat-filled evening.

Great food with excellent service. A fun atmosphere in the entire restaurant.  Good value for money as we were so full, we couldn't move. Will be back and definitely order the beef cheeks next time. And the bone marrow. And .. and ... and ....

因為餐廳是Pirata Group 旗下的

- 跟一般的Bone Marrow做法不一樣,這裡的做法是已經與香料混合在一起,味道非常驚喜,與焗脆的麵包是絶配


Smoked Bacon
- 超。厚。煙肉!好味到連老公都食唔停口


Hanger Steak
- 這個不過不失,沒有什麼驚喜


Rotisserie Chicken
- 有點失望,太乾身

今天晚上一行三隻食肉獸在中環覓食,見有新餐廳上場,而名字也十分肉「meats」,見價格合理,由$90-$210,我們二話不說便入內試試看。這家餐廳位於蘇豪區,採用半開放式設計,水泥色作主調,燈光昏暗,氣氛唔錯。剛到七點,已經坐滿九成,而坐上客以外藉人士為主,人氣十足。空間瀰漫著funky pop音樂,眾人把酒細語,感覺好chill. set dinner好似好抵食, 每人$420無加一,有八至九個course,雖然唔知食乜,但是餐廳推介的,應該唔錯,所以我們一枱人也點了set dinner試試。1.Beef tartar black sesame 牛肉他他份量唔少,入口軟滑,帶有香草同洋蔥的香,同點點酸味。再加上黑芝麻薄脆的麻香,味道唔錯,幾醒胃。2.Potato - 烤過的薯仔滿有煙燻味道,薯仔皮帶點香脆、薯肉軟熟而唔油膩3.Chicken drum stick雞下肶満有韓式風味,少少辣,微辛,幾香口幾惹味;而且肉質十分嫩滑又juicy,正!3.Bacon烤過的煙肉幾甘香,有幾強的煙燻味,食落幾咸香;皮上的黑椒令煙肉更帶辛香,送酒應該不錯,但肉質比較chewy。4.Pork bell

牛肉他他份量唔少,入口軟滑,帶有香草同洋蔥的香,同點點酸味。再加上黑芝麻薄脆的麻香,味道唔錯,幾醒胃。

五花腩燒到焦脆,肥瘦相間,咬落既crispy 又juicy,完全唔覺得有肥膩的感覺,這個比bacon好吃。

這烤雞燒得好香,嫩滑而有肉汁。但醬汁比較稀同淡口,香草味唔強,還是沾他們特製的辣醬食會好味D。

食咁多肉,幸好還有沙律balance 下。這沙律菜很新鮮,食落很清爽,加上香草Caesar 醬,味道有芝香又有清新的香草味道,既濃且fresh,幾好味。



7.Rib eye-這個應該是signature 吧!

這rib eye的肉燒到medium rare, 嫩紅的顔色真的令人流口水。這rib eye 唔會太肥,但肉質嫩滑幾juicy,而那garlic butter令牛扒的牛脂更為甘香,味道好。唯一缺點就是薄切,口感方式比較單薄唔夠肉感,令食肉獸的我唔夠滿足。

這炒飯好正!味道一如韓式炒飯,少少辣好開胃。飯粒炒很乾身、chewy, 口感唔錯,拌以大陽旦的旦汁,辣味變得更溫和,味道更為討好。而飯內仲有醃過炒香左的牛肉、雞肉等,味道豐富。

一個玻璃杯盛著chocolate mousse, 好精緻的甜品啊。一匙有齊朱古力慕絲、、chocolate cake and cream,質地十分幼滑。朱古力味慕絲好濃郁,仲有rum酒味,中間又夾雜沙沙質感的朱古力同軟綿綿旦糕,味道好rich,正!

這酥皮梨撻好香甜,煮到熱哄哄甜蜜蜜,十分軟稔,熱梨同呍呢嗱雪糕,一冷一熱,好味呀!個可是酥皮就韌左少少。

總結:set dinner 認真性價比高,$420免加一有成10個course. 真係食唔囇要打包。無論食物質素定服務都幾唔錯,如果是食肉獸,這就是你的天堂了。推介!
