Upon arrival, it was crowded, with lots of people waiting to make order and get the ice cream

The texture was really like chesscake, more firm than usual ice cream

Overall, the taste is above average
But the portion is a bit too small for its price, which is $40 per cup

The apple cheesecake was just average compared to the blueberry because it tasted similar to the apple crumble they made before and the cheesecake taste was a bit too heavy.

製成品的賣相相當可愛吸引,果真做到配合復活節主題。
上層有隻小雞躺臥在青草地上,草地由淡淡的薄荷味蛋糕碎加上彩色朱古力粒粒而成,
脆脆的彩色朱古力粒粒像小時候吃聰明豆一樣,忽然充滿了童真!!

而小雞餅乾味道不算很突出,比一般消化餅結實一點,麥香味與牛油味挺重的。
下層榛子朱古力雪糕絕不取巧.真材實料,朱古力的味道不太濃,甜度適中,
朱古力雪糕裡面還鑲嵌了多粒黑鑽--榛子粒,整體的口感及味道.層次都大大提升。
由於氮氣的沸點極低,製作出來的雪糕質地特別細緻幼滑,但也較快溶掉。

紫米露雪糕雖然看起來沒啥特別,但吃起來還蠻有驚喜的!像真度都有八成~
這個當然比起坊間某馬來西亞牌子雪條同樣是”紫米露口味”好吃和新鮮得多吧

雪糕夾有密集的粒粒紫米,質感煙韌美味, 增強了雪糕的香度和口感,
同樣地雪糕質感非常細緻幼滑.甜度低,這就是液化氮氣雪糕的特色。

夏天臨近,我想店主可以在這"招牌"款式上加多一點點功夫~~
比如在紫米露雪糕上畫上一圈椰漿或加上幾顆新鮮芒果粒...
即可令賣相更吸引,口味更新鮮吧!

Lab Made is serving the following flavors this week: Treacle Tart, ILLY Coffee, Coconut "Tang But Lut" and Mango Gelato. They switch out their menu and serve a different set of flavors every few weeks. Apparently, this week's menu was not special.

We ordered the coffee, coconut and mango flavors and I was quickly disappointed. Yup, I could get these flavors from the grocery store. Nothing special here. Although, a big fan of coconut ice cream that I am, I did enjoy the coconut one more than the others. After all, coconut ice cream is not very commonly found in Hong Kong grocery stores.

Oh, also be warned that there aren't many seats in the store.

A re-visit is a must but that will have to depend on the new flavors they offer.

We first tried liquid nitrogen ice cream in London at the Chin Chin Lab but this was our first experience in tasting freshly made ice cream back in Asia. The number one question that struck us prior to trying liquid nitrogen food was "is it safe?". For most who are familiar with their periodic table, Nitrogen (with symbol "N" and atomic number 7) is a non-metallic element and nitrogen gas in fact makes up 78.1% of our atmosphere. It is non-toxic, non-flammable and it simply just evaporates into

We first tried liquid nitrogen ice cream in London at the Chin Chin Lab but this was our first experience in tasting freshly made ice cream back in Asia. The number one question that struck us prior to trying liquid nitrogen food was "is it safe?". For most who are familiar with their periodic table, Nitrogen (with symbol "N" and atomic number 7) is a non-metallic element and nitrogen gas in fact makes up 78.1% of our atmosphere. It is non-toxic, non-flammable and it simply just evaporates into the air due to its extremely low boiling point at -195.8 degrees celsius. Liquid nitrogen ice cream is not quite exactly a new concept, but rather invented by the 'Queen of Ices', Agnes Bertha Marshall, an English culinary entrepreneur in the 19th century, with her first published cookbook in 1888.

Arguably, we find that the best part about liquid nitrogen ice cream is that the ice cream is made fresh and right in front of you. The quick freeze process where the cold nitrogen gas blasts over the liquid mixture results in no build up of ice crystals in the ice cream, which should give a smoother texture compared to normal ice cream, typically with added emulsifiers, stabilizers and preservatives to extend its shelf-life.

Without further ado, let us see if liquid nitrogen ice cream tastes better than normal ice cream indeed!

The flavours were beautifully combined with the sea salt complementing the sweetness from the caramel. The balance in flavours was well-tipped and the icing was the fine chocolate bits in the ice cream to give it a gritty texture to the smooth ice cream. The ice cream was rich and cream and was quite addictive to say the least! I would not put much regard to just one piece of potato crisp dipped with chocolate, for it served more as a decorative item. The last time we tried a really good version of salted caramel ice cream was at the Daily Scoop in Singapore.

Quite frankly, it was on hindsight after checking the menu again that we realized this ice cream should supposedly have lychee and rose flavours infused. It tasted more like a creamy version of strawberry ice cream and what we liked about it was that we could taste real strawberry fruit pieces albeit very fine. The ice cream was velvety and smooth in texture too and overall, it was very palatable indeed. Apart from being a good rendition of strawberry ice cream, the lychee and rose flavours were sorely lacking if at all present. There was supposed to be a topping to go along this ice cream, but apparently they were out of stock!

There was a little area for customers who wish to 'dine-in' though there were limited seats available. The bulk of the visitors simply made their orders at the counter and they would issue you with a receipt with order number enclosed. The majority of people would just crowd near the entrance and watched in awe as their ice cream were made fresh in front of them. When the ice cream was ready, your order number would be called out for you to collect.

The service was acceptable despite the busy crowd. We found the ice cream to be slightly pricey, though it was about the same as the one we tried in London at £4.35. That came with some fanciful self-concocted topping which made it seem more value for money. Comparatively, it was definitely priced at a premium to what was offered at most ice cream parlours in Hong Kong, or even Singapore. That being said, we were still drawn in by the quality of the ice cream so if we were in the vicinity of Tai Hang again, we would not mind dropping by for a cup of freshly made ice cream.

Well, at the end of the day, when we asked ourselves if liquid nitrogen ice cream did taste better, we were not too sure ourselves. Apart from the gimmick of seeing your order freshly made before you, we were sure that it would be pretty difficult to taste the difference in a blind-tasting session. Nonetheless, a good ice cream is calories well worth in our humble opinion!

入口的第一個感覺,它的味道跟Strawberry Shortbread是完全一樣的!

是次是bubeee第一次吃到分子雪糕,感覺是很特別的,由於未試過分子雪糕,所以都是要一個較容易接受的口味(下次有機會要試試HK Crispy Toast口味!)。吃過分子雪糕後,下一個目標就是去吃分子料理唷!希望到時可以再與大家分享更多美食!

一直覺得大坑的食肆盡是卧虎藏龍,是尋寶搵食的好地方,只是身為新界人好不容易才去一趟地鐵沿線以外的地方。這次跟朋友就是為了這間傳說中的分子料理雪糕而慕名而來。分子料理雪糕就是將雪糕漿加入攝氏-196度的液態氣攪拌,而雪糕都是即叫即製,且不含添加劑及香精,保證新鮮。<<荔枝玫瑰乳酪>>雪糕每兩星期便會轉換口味,而這一期的雪糕為母親節限定款,荔枝玫瑰乳酪也是我最喜歡的味道,聽店員說這款口味最愛歡迎,雪糕以士多啤梨為主再滲有清新的荔枝味,玫瑰味最淡。整個組合味道很夾,而且也不會過甜。<<海鹽焦糖雪糕>>另一款多人選擇的雪糕就是海鹽焦糖雪糕,再配上朱古力薯片,這款雪糕的味道相對來說比較濃而且複雜,又由於雪糕裡混入海鹽,某些時候還會吃到海鹽的鹹味。

雪糕每兩星期便會轉換口味,而這一期的雪糕為母親節限定款,荔枝玫瑰乳酪也是我最喜歡的味道,聽店員說這款口味最愛歡迎,雪糕以士多啤梨為主再滲有清新的荔枝味,玫瑰味最淡。整個組合味道很夾,而且也不會過甜。

另一款多人選擇的雪糕就是海鹽焦糖雪糕,再配上朱古力薯片,這款雪糕的味道相對來說比較濃而且複雜,又由於雪糕裡混入海鹽,某些時候還會吃到海鹽的鹹味。

待了沒多久,我們的荔枝玫瑰乳酪配士多啤梨分子雪糕(母親節限定版)完成了,吃了一口,士多啤梨味最濃,然後就是淡淡的真荔枝味(而非香精的那種),另外伴以更淡的玫瑰味(這個就是香精味了),後兩者的味道雖被士多啤梨蓋過,但整體來說仍富層次感,果真沒令人失望。裝飾用的朱古力牌製作亦見心思,小花花旁還「黏」有小小的可食用銀糖珠,很喜歡很喜歡…

下次有機會再來大坑的話一定會試試別的口味…

在大坑的LABMADE其實我已經吃過了,這夜晚餐前與友人又來吃雪糕,因為每2個星期左右又會轉一次口味,所以來的時候還是滿有驚喜的!友人LT早已到達,是日一如平常供應4個口味,友人LT點選牛油果仁($44)口味...這裡用上了Pecan nut而棄用較為普遍的杏仁,夏威夷果仁等食材,光是新鮮感就已經是個加分位了!我則點了藍莓益力多乳酪口味,因為還有春茗要吃....還是吃點輕怡的開胃一下吧!友人的牛油果仁味說實在真的超好吃!牛油味極香濃!不過略感用上pecan果仁但卻沒有那種吃到Pecan的滋味!有點點的可惜大概就是沒有為Pecan突顯其個性吧!而我的藍莓益力多乳酪口味($44)只是微酸,果味香濃,作開胃的小食相當的不錯呢!這個快閃雪糕是即點即製,40多元雖不便宜,但當你見到是即做的,可享有視覺上的效果,整件事就已值得大家一來吧!嘻...吃過後,還吃了一頓大餐....好像有點過份呢!PS.我很喜歡他們的fake print 制服,相當的型仔呢!

這個快閃雪糕是即點即製,40多元雖不便宜,但當你見到是即做的,可享有視覺上的效果,整件事就已值得大家一來吧!嘻...吃過後,還吃了一頓大餐....好像有點過份呢!

Again went to LabMade because of the new Mint chocolate chip with baileys icecream flavour.The appearance and colour reminded me of HD's mint leaves and chocolate because it was not green.Overall the icecream was nice with pieces of chocolate and there were crispy bits too however it was slightly bitter.

由於內裡空氣密度不高,糕相對前者質感明顯結實!雪糕加入不少紫米,份量絕不欺人!
真材實料!成份較天然!我可以說是第一次嚐到這款充滿嚼感的雪糕!
也好似食了不同形態的紫米露!

我覺得分子雪糕店以分子雪糕作賣點,確實有噱頭及其特色!
加上口味創新獨特!自然吸引不少食客垂青!卻是價錢略貴!
如非順路的話,我個人不會山長水遠專程走來幫襯啊!

呢日係愚人節,又係復活節假,諗住出去銅鑼灣行下睇哥哥10週年紀念展,順路行過大坑搵野食。咁岩見到lab made,之前都見有friend係Instagram 提過,見到成間舖出哂煙已經吸引左我既視線,以我貪新鮮又好奇既性格,決定試一試啦。最後揀左Mango Gelato.雪糕球上面有一層鮮橙黃色既mango jam,顏色好bright好sharp,very stunning!只見幾個staff不停加唔同顏色既powder落個攪拌機到,一路攪就不停有啲白煙飄出黎,相信應該係nitrogen黎既,真係好似置身仙境咁,如果staff著住fairy 既consume個畫面應該會幾得意XD不過個雲糕質感真係幾滑,味道唔會太甜岩我口味,個mango jam同雪糕好match,雪糕有好香芒果味,但唔知係咪因為知道佢係份子雪糕既關係,我會凝住個感覺好假咁,好似食緊啲化學物質,而且價錢有少少貴,同Hagen-daz差唔多,四十蚊一個球多啲。不過overall 覺得幾得意,可以睇住成個整雪糕既過程,新野可以試一試。

小妹最近就試了兩款外表美輪美奐的復活節特別版雪糕及乳酪,一款乃出自Smile Yogurt•Cake•Dessert,另一款則為Lab Made Liquid Nitrogen Ice-Cream Laboratory的出品。

先講講這款Lab Made的Easter Chocolate Garden(朱古力花園)乃榛子朱古力雪糕配上薄荷味蛋糕碎及小雞牛油曲奇,單是其可愛賣相已把我的目光懾住。當然,如果只是虛有其表也是徒然,先試試味道一探虛實,幸好最終未有令我失望。榛子朱古力雪糕果真真材實料,質感細滑。而面層的薄荷味蛋糕碎內藏的榛子粒,令味道及口感豐富度大大提升。相對來說,小雞牛油曲奇雖然味道亦不俗,但就來得較為平凡沒甚驚喜,幸好其外觀為它挽回不少分數。

又黎到lab made!! 今次個4種味都唔係太吸引我!最後我地叫左4杯,green apple cheesecake x2, Horlicks x1 n blueberry breakfast x1!! 😀😀Green apple cheesecake 比我期望ge差好多,冇芝士味,on top 嘅green apple 蓉,又唔酸,真係有d失望!😰😰Horlicks 係一個唔錯嘅choice , 因為食落去好thick n creamy ,加上on top 嘅胚牙,好有口感!😆😆最後,就係我自己比較"like" 嘅 blueberry breakfast ,除左有blueberry yogurt 嘅味道,仲有好crunchy 嘅cereal 係裏面,所以係今日食左個3種味,最取得我歡心!! 😜😜

其實身體麻麻唔應該食咁多雪糕架我不過真係好鐘意好鐘意食凍野唉 冇得救Lab Made Icecream既雪糕我覺得賣點係味道款式特別我期待緊流沙包再出 因為我並唔係成日係香港架試左2款 2款既共通點都係味道好濃郁未食過紫米露既雪糕好得意既味道濃濃既紫米露味就好似食左碗紫米露咁我係抹茶迷當然鐘意呢隻味不過抹茶味勁strong唔係人人like而且strong到苦苦地對我黎講係別有一番風味唔係一般巿面買到既比牛奶甜味平衡番既抹茶雪糕 i love!
