I've been to this restaurant several times before but haven't got a chance to go again at least in the past year or two (as my wife doesn't enjoy cheese all that much). I miss it a lot, and while I haven't been there for such a long time, I still have the vividest memory of how good their Raclette cheese dish has been.This dish comes in either appetizer or main course portions. This dish comes in either appetizer or main course portions. I've had both and of course started with appetizer first, and on a second visit moved on to a main course. That's how good it is.

If you like cheese, or at least can tolerate cheese, then you must give that a try. It is really one of the best food one can find on this earth, among bellota ham, truffles, foie gras, ...

And indeed they don't make a very good foie gras, which I think is partly because they only serve duck liver instead of goose liver.

But there's no way to miss that cheese. That dish is enough to make me want to travel to Switzerland and try it there.

7個人6個叫咗鵝肝($230一位):hm.... 今個星期第二次食煎鵝肝,Chesa的份量好細,得一片,但煎得好幹身,睇唔到有油,配的唔係酸酸的梨而係炒雜菌.我雖然鐘意食菌類,但配鵝肝比較不舒合,鵝肝唔似其他人講咁入口即溶,我覺得太實,有d失望,比較下Conrad Brasserie on the Eighth 好好多,浪費咗個Quota.

有位同事怕膽固醇,所以叫咗蟹肉pancake:睇落去份量都好細,但佢話好好味喎!

主菜我地點咗5款share:

1.紅酒牛尾: 一定要試,好淋,好入味,三大舊,份量ok.有碟薯蓉(唔知係唔係跟牛尾的?),但好滑好好味!

2. 燒羊鞍:自動幫我地分開咗四小份,份量不多,汁太濃無咩特別,可能因為叫咗7成熟,但其實好熟,不過都好淋.伴碟的蕃茄好味,但菠菜好咸!

3. 牛仔排:好嫰,不過個汁同牛尾或羊鞍個汁唔知有何分別,點解我成晚食到d汁有苦味??

4. 豬肉腸配煎薯餅:我覺得個腸好好味,無羶味,個薯餅好香,又唔係好油.完來Chesa出名食薯蓉同煎薯餅??哈哈!

5.南瓜銀雪魚意大利飯:好失望的一碟!南瓜唔甜,銀雪魚唔滑,意大利飯少得可憐,d米好貴咩?

最後叫咗3個甜品share:

1.巨型薑味souffle:真係几好,薑汁好濃,不過今個星期食咗兩次souffle,所以已覺無咩特別.

2.朱古力屋仔:外面係Lindt thin chocolate,入面係cream 同雪糕,ok 啦!我唔知點解唔覺得好特別,間屋未食前就几得意,但食落就只係"甜品一個".

3.menu上的名好長,但我簡稱之為朱古力心太軟,最甜的一個甜品,我食咗一嗒几好味.

7個人叫咗7杯non-alcohol cocktail(平均$80-$90),但好似comments 都唔係太好,我飲的係fruity mix,好香蕉味吔!不但都唔refreshing!!!我同事叫的winter punch原來係熱的,佢話都ok!

想講一吓這裏比較年長的經理,佢好做作,叫佢介紹食物佢隨口數到几樣几pro,但聽到隔離枱個女仔問佢边樣好食,佢好似在大排檔咁答,樣樣都好食,如果話你知唔好食我地就唔會放上menu.仲有當我地叫餸的時候,佢response得太煩,我地每叫一樣,佢都會話"係",好大聲咁添,但好煩!我比較喜歡其他的侍應,真係好有禮貌.仲有阿經理到最後只係將我的外套攞出黎放咗在隔離枱,原全無將外套交給我,這點唔夠週到.

埋單$48XX,貴吔,不過我地誌在大家gathering開心吓,下次去半島的其他餐廳好d.多謝Phoebe老板!

Glad to know that you finally had a good time in Chesa. This is a classical example of how bad receptionist spoiled good restaurant.Is your birthday on June 26? Baked cod with pumpkin and risotto in lobster sauce $230: the cod really melted in the mouth. very very smooth. the texture of risotto is good. the pumpkin is sweet.

The manager was on leave yesterday. i had to request for garlic bread. the serving speed was not good. the bread came very late and other dishes came very quickly. we finished three dishes in 45 minutes! also, it is quite cool to sit in the middle of the resturant. so minus 1 point this time. (but i want to give 6 points for the wonderful food.)

今日Honey生日,為咗氹佢開心,所以去咗呢間餐廳.環境:地方雖然細,但warm,每張枱都有支粉紅色嘅長蠟燭,夠哂romantic,好啱情侶談心.服務:夠細心,由於從來未食過瑞士菜,經理介紹菜單時好詳盡,每食完一道菜都會問意見,絕對尊重客人.而waiter亦好勤快,不停換碟,上甜品前又會清理枱布,清到乾乾淨淨,值得一讚!食物:2 (紅酒) -- 易入口,適合女仔 1 (鵝肝) -- 超好食,又香又滑,必食 1 (龍蝦湯) -- 真才實料 1 (芝士火鍋) -- 有D鹹魚味,怪怪地,不過OK嘅 1 (紅酒牛尾) -- 正!正!正!燘得好諗,好入味 1 (朱古力小屋) -- 精緻,但有些少甜 2 (咖啡) -- 夠香濃,夠滑 (甜品) -- Free 嘅,冇咩所謂總結:埋單$13xx,已呢個價錢,喺半島晚餐,超值!

16-8-2007...同女朋友anniversay....7點去到...裝修幾有特色...食野...最好食o既都係goose liver(其實我本身唔喜愛吃的)...但我都試了...and 真係覺得好食...其他o既...就一般啦....not really good..但服務真係好到...唔知點講..成日覺得一間restaurant可以留得住客人o既總有佢o既長處...eg.好食..好靚..好服務...chesa 好o既係裝修+服務...值得一去...ps..captain好好...介紹左好多野食俾我地...但真係好飽...好滯呀~

Environment of this restaurant is cosy, romantic, and warm. I felt like stepping into a small town that was absolutely a contrary to the modern world. We ordered set lunch. My fish was quite delicious, and my friend's lamb was juicy. The portion was not big, a bit small and yet we were still full...probably cos we ate most of the bread...!I forgot what the starter was called but it came with cheese...I'm not a big fan of cheese so I don't know how to appreciate it...to me...it's just okay only.I

I would recommend this restaurant considering that the price is reasonable with the above average quality. If you've a HSBC platium card, the set lunch is $20 dollars less.

I went there for a dinner wif 2 frds. We ordered Goose Liver and Crabmeat pancake for appretizer. They r reli delicious. Main Courses are Lamb rack and Cheese Fondue. Lamb is v. tender and the sauce is reli gd. As we dun reli like the taste of wine, we ask for adding less wine into the fondue. And the taste turns out to be more acceptable. Then we ordered Chalet as dessert. That's a chalet made wif chocolate and filled wif 2 scoops of icecream.Overall, i think this restaurant reli worths going b

Main Courses are Lamb rack and Cheese Fondue. Lamb is v. tender and the sauce is reli gd. As we dun reli like the taste of wine, we ask for adding less wine into the fondue. And the taste turns out to be more acceptable.
Then we ordered Chalet as dessert. That's a chalet made wif chocolate and filled wif 2 scoops of icecream.
Overall, i think this restaurant reli worths going becos of High quality and Fair price.^^

我地好不容易揀好菜式, 叫左以下三樣野食+ 一杯red wine:
•薯仔磨菇芝士火鍋
•三文魚
•燒春雞

跟住食我至愛既三文魚, 唔錯! 一來我鍾意食三文魚, 二來賣相討好, 顏色吸引, 三就係口感有層次, 三文魚用文火煮熟, 保留左魚既水份, 魚上面鋪左條蘆筍, 伴碟有圓形細細粒既紅蘿白+黑色一粒粒既野, 我真係5知係咩野, 外表好似黑胡椒, 食落又無咩野味, 一定5係魚子醬. 食完有8成飽

隔左一陣燒春雞亦壓軸出場. 每人半隻, 好在隻雞份量5太大, 望住佢就feel到燒到個皮金金黃黃好脆咁, 仲有個BBQ汁, 每人一小碟沙律& 薯條& Heinz ketchup. 隻雞燒得恰到好處, 連雞胸肉都有少少滑, 而且好有雞肉味, yummy! 食完已經9成半飽

以Monday入座率都有8成實在係另一厲害之處, 肯定情人節一定fully booked.

呢度個經理好好客, 喜歡同客人傾計. 叫完埋單, 經理順手俾左一碟6粒chocolate俾我地, (一共3款, 每款2粒) 食落5太甜幾好味, it's FREE!!! 完全係SURPRISE! 而且佢仲問我地有無駕車, 認真體貼~ 遲d一定要再去食過!

Although this is not the best restaurant in HK, but definitely has the best value for this grade of restaurants. I went there last month with my wife and we've tried many food there. I love the Veal a lot and my wife loves the Ox Tail. No complain from start to finish. Even though the Chocolate House doesn't taste very good, it's very lovely and romantic as birthday cake. Definitely a must go restaurant!

Fried pork fillet with pear sauce: the pork is tender. the sauce is wonderful

Dessert:
Bread and butter pudding: although quite sweet, it is really very delicious.
Puff with ginger ice-cream: instead of cream, there is ginger ice-cream inside. six small pieces. cute and delicious.

Hot chocolate: excellent. the best thing in the lunch.
Coffee: creamy

Overall, i think the appentiser and main course in the main menu is much better than those in set lunch. the set lunch price is really very attractive. however, i love the lunch set in sabintini more. its price is even lower. I will go to chesa for dinner next time.
