Regular thur lunch as usual. They got a nice venue with reasonable set.We started with minestrone and ciabatta, plus amuse bouche - sushi-like thing, quite nice to start the set! For the minestrone in pot, the soup was rich with ingredients that raised your appetite and served hot, well-matched with ciabatta.I had lasagna, while my friends had seafood risotto, roast chicken and spaghetti. We started with minestrone and ciabatta, plus amuse bouche - sushi-like thing, quite nice to start the set! For the minestrone in pot, the soup was rich with ingredients that raised your appetite and served hot, well-matched with ciabatta.

I had lasagna, while my friends had seafood risotto, roast chicken and spaghetti. My lasagna was quite good indeed! Very hot served, rich in cheese, fresh pasta. Yummy. My friends' chicken was tender; the shrimp in the risotto was huge and fresh, risotto was not too creamy; as for the spaghetti, it was chef-made, you could taste that. Same as the lasagna, cheese was rich *apparently we mixed everyone's dishes* Btw, the portion was appropriate for women as we all finished our plate.

In the end, a nice cup of hot coffee marked the end of the set. Just simple and delicious, that was my conclusion.

Once we stepped in the fine restaurant, we were supurised by the delicate and romantic decoration there.

When we sat down, the special water glass immediately caught our attention, it is not flat, just like a tumbler we used to play with when we were little children. Right behind our table is a small cupboard displaying the unique restaurant dish cards and many nice cookbooks which you can read while waiting for the dishes to come.

We ordered many dishes, and the following three left me the grestest impression.

Minestrone soup - holding in a special square glass bottle, with rich tomato taste and mixed vegetables.

Grilled seafood risotto - rich seafood flavour, shrimp tasted refreshing, risotto cooked just all right, al dente. Yammy!


Fruit yogurt - Fresh fruit with cream on top, sweet and sour, my favourite!

Spuntini在星街小區已經很出名,事關比起其他的餐廳,這裡食物的質素一點也不輸蝕,而價錢又大眾化,故吸納到不少客源。個人強烈推介Grilled seafood risotto。烤出來的海鮮保留了鮮味,味道十分鮮甜;尤其是蝦,肉質爽口彈牙。Risotto煮得十分出色,軟硬的程度剛好,煮得很均勻,每一粒飯都很有嚼頭,而且也吸收了香濃的白汁,入口味道濃郁。Grilled lamb chop 烤出了網紋,外表拎滿分。七成熟的羊架切開十分鮮嫩,入口也很有燒烤的香味。佰多元吃到這質素,實在很抵。

一月上旬最近一次嚐到用真空瓶演繹菜式是在灣仔的Spuntini,放滿著意國精品食材的boutique shop,現在說來雖然老套,但年前精品小店曾掀起過小熱潮,只怪香港人太貪新善忘。 CHICKEN SALAD~沒附註配料的菜式名稱,將沙律菜、青橄欖與及調味過的低脂雞絲,與酸中帶甜的黑醋汁撈混,有著小店的隨意,蔬菜很甜,配以雞絲就算平日七葷為主亦覺「有些東西」下肚,清清爽爽也吃得滿意。更多的爆瓶事件分享@http://foodxfile.blogspot.com/2010/02/spuntini.html

一月上旬

好意外呢間餐廳有咁多好評...坦白講價錢唔貴..不過坐得逼而且味道真係麻麻... 佢地懶特別咁用左個好似"駝螺"咁ge花樽仔當水杯...但張檯實在太細..個杯搖搖欲墜..好煩!至於食物:五成熟牛排好苦...因為燶左....海鮮pizza...唔脆兼無咩味...海鮮意大利飯太濕..無咬口羊排ok, 意粉最好, 係AL DENTE~朋友話係米芝蓮2星...但我不信!

Main Course選了Rib eye with pasta($118) - Medium 的rib eye弄得不溫不火,入口嫩滑而且很juicy,燒香了的外層配上芥辣,更加添了幾分香口.至於意粉則用上linguine.一向都是我愛吃的一款,但可惜油分太高,有點吃不消.

另一款Main選了Scallops & Grilled Prawn Risotto($108),依舊是忌簾汁的天下.帶子和蝦各試了半片,很香的grilled味,至於米飯,入口帶著陣陣芬香的忌簾和香草汁,味道上佳,愛好risotto者絕對值得一試.

捨棄了額外點的Dessert因為已另有更吸引的在守候著我.隨咖啡奉上的mini fruit tart其實也很不錯,脆脆的撻邊配上鮮甜的生果,跟香濃而帶苦澀的咖啡帶著強烈的對比.甜與苦總是生命裡不能缺少的,就如人生總會碰到開心或不如意的事一樣.

星期五先知要當晚要出去食飯,打咗成10間餐都book唔到,最後揾到呢間餐廳,book到最後一張檯。之前都聽聞呢間餐廳ok,今次試過後都算合理,三百蚊per head,有飲酒。頭盤係14及30個月西班牙風乾火腿配硬芝士及果醬,火腿很有油香,正!之後係帶子、蝦三色青椒沙律,加香橙jelly底,presentation 好 colorful 同 rich,好睇,味度ok。主菜意大利香草雞同埋重覆咗少少嘅烤蝦脆魚。隻雞好有香草味,waiter落單時知道我地share,主動提議斬件上,細心抵讚。至於脆魚就一般。呢間餐廳裝修ok,燈光適中,服務唔錯。不過最攪嘢喺張menu,佢地絲帶卷埋到成文憑咁,打開後就'攣弓蝦米'咁,好難攤開嚟睇。

Based on comments on this restaurant on openrice, I went to this restaurant for lunch on Sunday with my lovely daughter who has exceptional taste in food.We were the first ones to arrive as we were there at 12pm sharp and the restaurant just opened. We were seated by the window and there were some cookbooks on the shelves behind us for us to browse while waiting for the food.The menu here is not big but sufficient. Based on comments on this restaurant on openrice, I went to this restaurant for lunch on Sunday with my lovely daughter who has exceptional taste in food.

We were the first ones to arrive as we were there at 12pm sharp and the restaurant just opened. We were seated by the window and there were some cookbooks on the shelves behind us for us to browse while waiting for the food.

The menu here is not big but sufficient. We settled on lunch specials while I had seafood risotto and my daughter had beef lasagne in tomato sauce. The soup came out hot (drinkable hot) and very delicious with rich tomato taste. When the main dishes came, they looked wonderful but a little small portioned. The seafood risotto was very yummy and the beef lasagne was in rich tomato sauce that looked soooo good. My daughter said it was very good! We could tell they made the tomato sauce with fresh tasty tomatos which was important to the quality of the food. When we finished, we found that portion of the main course was just right, not too little at all!

Though we were no longer hungry, we ordered tiramisu to satisfy our urge to have some sweet things. It was rich in almond so my daughter let me have most of it as she didn't like almond. She said the cake was good but the almond taste was too strong for her.

Everything we had up to drinks (coffee and iced tea) were very satisfying and we left this wonderful little restaurant with happy smiles......

邊拿着些home-made grissini吃着邊看"餐紙"。這grissini比平常吃到的軟身,並不會太死實又吃得一口粉,醮上些陳醋及olive oil來吃,不知不覺已吃了半籃....

決定今晚要吃"清"一點,所以甚麼的pork ribs及chargrilled steak就全然謝絕了,取而代之的是一些antipasti、salad及risotto....

吃之前先來一小瓶意大利入口的血橙汁。這juice是有氣的,味道酸酸甜甜,有點像在喝minute maid的感覺,不過不失....

想叫些antipasti來吃,愛多花款的如小弟,要一份一式四樣的antipasti misto就最適合。皺皮小蕃茄、雅枝竹、小磨菇及橄欖粒一同放在四方型的大碟當中,其中以小蕃茄及蘑菇較為出色,前者味很香甜,後者則經牛油及蒜茸略炒之後,香味紛呈,菇香十足。雅枝竹及olive沒有"整色整水"的烹調,很能吃出食物的真味來,亦很不俗....

很想吃些沙律來清清腸胃,本選了一份內有jumbo shrimp的mixed green salad,但侍者說蝦隻是晚缺貨
,最後唯有挑了一個更清更簡單的potato salad。薯仔十分的"粉"亦很夠腍,菜蔬也很新鮮,沙律汁亦調得酸度剛好,完完全全滿足了"清清腸胃"的欲望了
....

吃antipasti吃出個癮頭來
,再來一份"Porcini Mushrooms with Giadiniera"也不算太過份吧
Porcini經爆炒過後香氣更盛,可恨的是份量很小,胃部剛warm-up完就發覺已吃得一粒也不剩了
.....

全晚唯一的主菜"Smoked Sword Fish with Tomato Risotto" 做得十分的出色。平常吃到的risotto多是加上大量的芝士及cream sauce的,但是夜的這個加入了茄醬的就比較少嘗。味道沒有那麼膩口而且感覺清爽得多,很有特色。飯粒做得外面柔軟而裡頭帶煙韌咬勁,火喉控制得剛剛好
;劍魚切得極薄身,煙燻味甚濃但卻沒有一種"over咗"的感覺,再加上賣相編排亦見心思,這碟意大利飯,可說是近期小弟的心水之選

不斷的吃着談天說笑,這一夜着實過得挺愉快呢

相約為食友到星街一帶 eat eat eat~ 選了聖佛蘭士街既 Spuntini, 因為見 OR comment 不錯. 約7:30pm到達, 只有三table 食客. 由於我們一早book了位, waiter 安排了 sofa 位, 幾舒服. 由於我們打算之後再試另外一間店的 dessert, 於是不可以吃太飽~ 兩人share 了 3 courses.1) Minestrone ($48)~ 比一般的 羅宋湯 "足料", 用了很多 蕃茄, 西芹, ... 個人認為 這湯 味道比較酸, 湯的質感較 "傑", 有d 似 肉醬意粉既sause. 不過, 我們都很欣賞chief 既心思, 用保溫玻璃 樽 盛載這 湯, 可以保持 湯的熱度, 賣相也很特別, 值得一試2) 6"inch ParamaHam Pizza ($82)~ 我和朋友都 不是 太 "好" ParamaHam, 但是這個 pizza 又能令我們改觀, 熱騰騰的 薄身 pizza, 配上 焗得香脆既 ParamaHam & cheese 及 新鮮香葉, 感覺非常地 match, 味道十分 balance~ 可以食出 Pa

相約為食友到星街一帶 eat eat eat~ 選了聖佛蘭士街既 Spuntini, 因為見 OR comment 不錯. 約7:30pm到達, 只有三table 食客. 由於我們一早book了位, waiter 安排了 sofa 位, 幾舒服.

由於我們打算之後再試另外一間店的 dessert, 於是不可以吃太飽~ 兩人share 了 3 courses.

1) Minestrone ($48)~ 比一般的 羅宋湯 "足料", 用了很多 蕃茄, 西芹, ...
個人認為 這湯 味道比較酸, 湯的質感較 "傑", 有d 似 肉醬意粉既sause. 不過, 我們都很欣賞chief 既心思, 用保溫玻璃 樽 盛載這 湯, 可以保持 湯的熱度, 賣相也很特別, 值得一試


2) 6"inch ParamaHam Pizza ($82)~ 我和朋友都 不是 太 "好" ParamaHam, 但是這個 pizza 又能令我們改觀, 熱騰騰的 薄身 pizza, 配上 焗得香脆既 ParamaHam & cheese 及 新鮮香葉, 感覺非常地 match, 味道十分 balance~ 可以食出 ParamaHam 的香味, 卻不會太 咸, good!


3) Grilled Seafood Risoto ($138)~ 這個risoto 很出色, 質地 煙un, 水份控制巧到好處, 配上 香煎的鮮虾, 帶子 & 車厘茄, 令人吃得很 滿足


餐廳服務很好, 主動為我們 再加 餐包(暖暖的, 幾好味) 和 不斷為我們refill清水 (免費的), 而且食物是 等我們吃完一碟再 上另一碟 給我們. 讚!


餐廳環境也寧靜, 可客納24人, 頗適合情侶相會 及 同 好友 來 fine dinning!
餐廳的餐具都很別緻, 朋友很喜歡它的水柸.

本來我對此餐不 抱有 期望 (因為之前我跟朋友到 星街 試了一間很難吃的 cafe, 好失望), 不過, 這餐 有水準 及 有誠意 的佳肴, 確實令我喜出望外, 以後 我約朋友食飯, 又多了一個 fine dinning place 的choice 了

On the day that we decided to have lunch here (it was a Saturday, by the way), the weather could not be worse - the No.3 typhoon signal was hoisted, it was raining heavily, and with thick black clouds up above in the sky and the sun nowhere in sight, our moods were pretty down and we badly needed a boost; fortunately, it turned out that we picked the right place this time . On the day that we decided to have lunch here (it was a Saturday, by the way), the weather could not be worse - the No.3 typhoon signal was hoisted, it was raining heavily, and with thick black clouds up above in the sky and the sun nowhere in sight, our moods were pretty down and we badly needed a boost; fortunately, it turned out that we picked the right place this time
. This new establishment is the first in HK to introduce the unique brand of food products inspired by the two-starred Michelin chef, Moreno Cedroni, who is known for his simple yet delicious creations throughout the world. Located on the St. Francis, just a short walk from the Queen's Road East, the restaurant was pretty small, with a capacity for 30 persons or so at most, with simple decor and adequate spacing between tables. The restaurant was in fact, part-cafe, part-wine bar, and part-deli, with a counter displaying a dazzling array of products (mainly jam and various sauces for pasta, with some interesting ingredients like monkfish liver and tuna belly etc), as well as nice nibbles like sandwiches, stuffed olives and sweet peppers, salad, and desserts. The funny looking water glass was the next item to catch our attention - was it inspired by the Pisa tower ?
Anyway, we decided to go for the set lunches, and before long, food was ready for our comsumption.

First to arrive was the Amouse Bouche, or "mouth amuser", which was intended as a small cold dish to kick start our palate before the meal. It was nicely made in the form of a sushi, with some rice (?risotto) made into a small cube, with a piece of smoked salmon and a leaf (?arugula) placed on top. Although the thing looked nice and appealing, unfortunately it tasted rather bland and was not particularly impressive
This is certainly one item that they could work on to improve further.

Next came the soup and the bread rolls. The soup was classic minestrone served in a small bottle, and it was rich and tasty, with lots of mixed vegetables as ingredients and cooked in a tomato based broth; my only comment was on the serving temperature, which was only luke-warm and not hot enough for our taste. On the other hand, the bread rolls were fine as they were quite hot in temperature and cripsy. Overall not a bad start, just hope they could control the serving temperature of the soup a bit better.

The mains arrived after a 15-20 min wait. The Grilled seafood risotto was quite nice, with the risotto cooked just right, served with grilled shrimps, scallop, fish fillet and some vegetables. The seafood tasted fresh to us, and the creamy sauce made the dish really delicious and enjoyable
In contrast, the Grilled half chicken with herbs was less satisfatory; for although the portion was huge, somehow the aroma of the herbs did not manage to infiltrate into the meat of the chicken, and some parts of the chicken meat was quite tough in texture, especially the chicken breast
Still, I think the chicken would probably still score a pass unless you are a really picky gourmet. Overall not too bad for the mains, but I would suggest to stay away from the chicken if you have a choice.

For desserts, the complimentary fruit tarts suffered from the same problem with the mouth amusers - they looked nice but tasted so-so only; and they were very small in size, too. At the end we decided to get a final boost and ordered a tiramisu as dessert; this turned out to be fine, with the liquor and cheese flavors in the right proportions and the right texture, being not too soggy in the bottom
. The coffee that came at the end, freshly brewed and richly aromatic, also served as a nice conclusion to our meal.

At the end of the meal, the friendly and helpful wait staff also showed us around the place and introduced to us the various items on sale in the shop. They even gave us some samples to try out before we actually made the purchase. We were most grateful to them, for they helped to made our stay even more memorable and enjoyable


We spent almost 1.5 hours with the meal. At the end, we found that the rain had stopped and hence we could move on again. It was indeed a simple Italian on a rainy afternoon; we look forward to coming back again soon, perhaps for dinner, and hopefully the weather (and the food) would be even better then as compared to the present.

唔熟灣仔的我地, 找了好耐呢, 哈哈~d食物份量較細~ 叫左3個main course呢minestrone soup - 幾香濃~~ 都唔錯, 個樽好得意prime rib eye steak - 剛好medium rare, 肉質嫩, 多汁, 好味!!~ 但好細份><smoked tuna rissotto - rissotto 好味呢~!! tuna沒啥特別~ 不會過鹹!seabass - 不是特別好吃, 魚肉唔係好滑tiramisu - 老公話好難食, 哈哈總括黎講都唔錯呀!!~幾得意的餐廳, 可以一試

點了兩款凍Antipasti和一款熱Antipasti。 凍的有Prosciutto and Cheese Parmigiano-Reggiano 和sword fish slice with mustard sauce。 前者意大利火腿有四片, 不過咸, 柔嫩無筋, 但總是比較愛吃霸道甘香的西班牙jamon; 柏瑪臣芝士很陳舊, 乾得呈一舊舊, 一壓便散成粉狀, 味道很咸香, 很回甘


店員告之沒有芥辣醬, 建議轉做rasberry and ginger sauce, 倒也沒所謂, 就試試吧! 劍魚片嫩滑, 味道因較清, 故沒有什麼魚味可言。 醬汁酸味只是輕微, 倒是甜味作主, 事後才想起:薑味呢?
像失蹤了。。。

熱Antipasti就要了baked quail with blood orange sauce。鵪鶉外皮給烤得金黃, 薄薄的皮下沒有脂肪, 吃下也無妨。 肉嫩多汁, 醃得夠味, 血橙汁其實是不太吃得出來, 但也是香甜來得自然


主菜要了grilled scallop and shrimp risotto with cheese sauce and crispy fish。 烤帶子和蝦也都新鮮, 火喉恰當不過老, 飯粒粒香口, 十分creamy, 配合脆脆銀魚仔吃, 惹味香濃


薑餅人吃開了胃, 所以加了另一主菜 – Chicken marinated with Rosemary and pepper with deep fried potato wedges. 雞肉用檸檬, 乾蔥頭, 迷迭香和黑胡椒醃得幾香
, 黑胡椒味最出, 反而迷迭香不算太濃. 雞胸肉都是鞋的, 也偏乾
, 其他部位當然好些啦!

已很飽的我倆看見玻璃櫃的tiramisu, 又忍不住叫一杯share來吃. 這裡質地不太軟, 味道平衡, 酒味不太濃, 底部蛋糕不會乾爭爭, 也沒有過苦的咖啡味.

又一滿足的一餐

跟食友們吃晚飯吃甜品就試得多,食中午飯都係第一次。辛苦工作了半天,可以同相熟食友出來吃頓飯談談天,感覺也是不錯。細心的食友預先訂了檯,可以坐到窗邊位,望出去陽光普照的街景,是悠閒又舒服。服務生奉上的水杯,原來是不倒翁的型態,幾特別幾好玩,亦相信食友已經玩了這隻杯好一段時間,因為我又遲到,真不好意思。餐前麵包,微暖但不脆口,伴以黑醋和橄欖油食,挺開胃的;前點弄成壽司般,中間換上的是寬條麵,口感帶點煙韌,雖然不算好吃,但賣相精緻有創意,這也值得加分。玻璃瓶盛著的餐湯,是minestrone,幾有特色。意式菜湯蕃茄味濃郁,亦有豐富的什菜粒,很有風味。主菜兩款,大家share食。Parma ham risotto,故名思意是用巴馬火腿包著意大利飯,意大利飯圓潤肥美,有咬口,芝士味濃香十足,巴馬火腿咸香軟熟,上面加上大量我喜歡的火煎菜,水準比預期要好。我選的煙三文魚意粉用玻璃碟上,賣相精緻吸引,可惜味道相對失色。三文魚茸味不鮮不香,意大利粉不但沒有彈牙質感,甚至是有點韌,味道亦平平無奇,叫人失望。Set Lunch只包餐湯和飲品,這當然滿足不了我們。加錢要了兩款甜品,分別係Tiramisu及鮮果

Set Lunch只包餐湯和飲品,這當然滿足不了我們。加錢要了兩款甜品,分別係Tiramisu及鮮果乳酪。先講Tiramisu,吃不出酒香味,換來的卻是點點的杏仁味道,效果也不錯。頭幾啖的質感幾實在,可是吃到杯底時卻竟然是全濕的,這點要認真改善。

Fruit Yogurt就鮮果粒再淋上乳酪,沒有什麼難度,酸酸地又帶點果粒的鮮甜,亦不失美味。

傾吓講吓,不經不覺又一個多小時,在千萬個不願意之下仍然要埋單返公司搏殺。不過大家已經有了共識,在不久的將來會再約埋食lunch,而下個目標也就是附近的La fleur,真期待這日的來臨。
