Most other restaurants in this mall are usually full, with a waiting queue, but for some reason not this place (presumably because it's still 'new').
Don't let this put you off, though - the food was pretty decent. We tried the:
~ Q (Quinoa) Burger,
~ Kale-licious (Fig/ Pine Nut/ Kidney Bean) Salad
~ Red Bull Fighter (Thai Red Curry w/ Pineapple).
The Burger had a good mix in the patty (alfalfa sprouts, kidney beans, some others and, of course, quinoa) as well as some salad. The bun had good texture.
The Salad dressing worked well (possibly some balsamic vinegar in there, but more viscous?), again with a good mix of ingredients. It was a little disappointing that they were so stingy with the kale, though - you would think a salad named after kale would have more kale in it, rather than lettuce & other leaves!
The Curry had a nice consistency and flavour (the cashier warned us it would be spicy, which was nice, but I didn't find it to be too much so). They could have done with providing more roti (bread) and curry, instead of a quarter pineapple taking up half the plate, but it was alright.
I think the vibe they were going for was more of a 'healthy lifestyle' stop; it's essentially a vegetarian restaurant combined with a corner store, with the option to pick up various imitation meats and superfoods from the fridge & shelves. This is reflected in the bright white lighting & wooden stools; they want you to eat & pick up something for later, but not stay for too long. The potted plants added a little colour to the decor, but overall it is still healthy 'fast food' (the chips and Burger bun were fried, for example, and you have to pick your order up yourself).
Overall I'd go to Green Common again, as long as I didn't have to stay for too long (if you have to, pick a sofa instead of a stool!)
