Since my last visit, I have been thinking about the coffee, so when I got a chance to meet my cousin for lunch in Wan Chai, I wanted to come back to this place. When we arrived, we were informed that because there was only 1 chef working, we could order nothing from the menu, and only the set lunches would be available. When we arrived, we were informed that because there was only 1 chef working, we could order nothing from the menu, and only the set lunches would be available. We were both a bit disappointed because I had wanted to try their burger, and my cousin couldn't get her usual Egg Benedict. Oh well....
Although I heard that they have good steak, I chose the Salmon with a Creamy Dill Sauce ($128). Like always, a set lunch comes with bread, soup, drink and dessert.
Bread: My cousin said that the bread is different everytime, and it really was different from the last time I visited. One was a sesame bun and I can't remember the other because it wasn't as good.
Soup: The soup was the same as last time. It was good, but maybe a little bit salty.
Salmon: The salmon was very good. It was tender and not overcooked! I also liked that the skin was very crispy! The dill sauce was amazing too, but I wish they would have given a little more! The potatoes on the side were tasty, although a bit greasy. Overall, it was quite a good dish. The portion was just right so that I wasn't full to my stomach when I was done.
Dessert/ Coffee: The dessert this time was a raspberry cheesecake, and was way better than the carrot cake I got last time. The texture was nice. The coffee wasn't as amazing as last time, but still good.
Final Verdict:
I might make this my to go place whenever I'm meeting my cousin for lunch!
