Been having a lot of Sichuan cuisine lately. Tried something different tonight on Portland street, which is not the usual chicken pot or Sichuan style beef.We started our meal with golden thousand year eggs $48. The egg yolk was jammy. Their signature pot $26 is a customized stir-fried chili pot which you can choose the sauce and level of spiciness. They offer a wide range ingredients from meat, seafood to veggies which you might add to fry with chili and pepper. We picked sliced lamb, chicken, frog, pork intestines and lettuce stems. So good to try various ingredients in one pot! The herbs were flavorful. We ordered extra spicy to enjoy with ice cold Tsing Tao.
Leek Lamb $108
Served with 6 pieces of sesame wraps that resembles what we eat with Peking duck. Nice combination. The staff also tailormade extra spiciness for us even it was not supposed to be a hot dish! The lamb was slightly gamey and tender which was delicious. Seasoning was on point.
Convenient location. Friendly team. Small restaurant but the seats were comfy. Worth trying for Sichuan food lovers!
