On the very day of June 4, before my Mum and I proceed to the June 4th candlelight memorial at night, we decided to fill our tummies with a hopefully, fine dinning Japanese lunch. Due to my Mum's curiosity in Ka Mi Do, we decided to give it go. Though we booked a table for 2 at 1:30pm, we arrived at around 2pm and there were plenty of tables to choose from. We picked the window seats: it was quite a scene but I believed that it would be much better if we have came in dinner time for the night vi
Due to my Mum's curiosity in Ka Mi Do, we decided to give it go. Though we booked a table for 2 at 1:30pm, we arrived at around 2pm and there were plenty of tables to choose from.
Luckily, as we immediately told the staff about our unsatisfaction towards the miso soup, the manager hurried over, apologized and exchanged a new bowl of HOT miso soup for us. The servicing gained the points back on board. I guess this restaurant still deserved to be called fine dinning. And the salmon, scallop and sea urchin were very nice, fresh and sweet. Too bad that they were only cut in a thin slice and given only one or two pieces.
Although Ka Mi Do owned a spectacular view, the lunch MENU was shockingly overpriced, at least for the lunch set that I ordered. When we paid the bill, we were given two discount coupons for lunch, which tempted me to return very soon. In my opinion, this restaurant only worth coming if you have the discount coupons. Orelse it is not quite worth the price (unless you are willing to pay for the view solely, that is.) unlike other mainstream Japanese restaurants. It's quite easy to find another fine-dinning Japanese restaurant which serves perfect lunch set at this price or cheaper.
