Every so often, I want to eat until I can't eat no more. And that is when it's time for a buffet! This time boyfriend and I chose the Rosedale Hotel Kowloon in Tai Kok Tsui. Openrice had a voucher for this place that costs $288 for adults (orignally $368 on weekdays). WHAT A DEAL! Always up for deals, this is what we used. But if you can't do weekdays and only a weekend person, it's only $398 for adults. Actually, now that I look at their website, I notice they have a lot of deals for their buf
But where was it located?
For those not clear with the Tai Kok Tsui area, you can take the MTR from Olympian Station and walk 8 minutes there. Or just look at their hotel website which gives a pretty good map. It wasn't too hard to find. The hotel, itself, is really new and tasteful. I was fairly surprised. I didn't expect a hotel in this area to look so modern. It was bright with huge windows. Small additions of modern Asian art.
The restaurant is located on the second floor and is fairly spacious. Like many hotel buffets, seating is one side and buffet section is on the other. We gotten there at early but it started to fill up quickly.
They had a really good selection of seafood. Had a bunch of crab leg. Those were excellent.
They had this one station that offered Raclette cheese. They heat up this half a wheel of Raclette and plop it onto their selection of bread, potatoes or pasta. They also have pickles to serve with it. I had not seen this at a hotel before so this was fun to try. The cheese was incredibly strong so if you don't like cheese, you may want to stay away. But if you love strong cheese, this is for you. I suggest the potatoes the best. The bread and pasta didn't really soak up the cheese very well.
