當晚有live,唱好有上海風味的歌,但環境較噪,可能因為人多又多人傾計,要講野好大聲。食左幾個菜式,小籠包最驚喜,皮薄但夾得起,湯汁又夠,好味!另有有松子魚、雲吞雞同薑汁湯圓都唔錯。其他就麻麻地。

The table starts with a little nibble of candied walnut and peanut with crispy fish. We have appetizers like braised beef with aged mandarin peel, five-spiced duck tongue and crunchy cucumber with sesame sauce that has been sliced impressively into thin layers.

A must-order is the pan-fried xiao long bao. Served on a sizzling cast iron skillet with black vinegar on the side. It has a juicy pork filling with hot soup, tastes delicious; whilst the turnip pastry is stuffed with lobster and the plating is a wow here.

For dessert, I’m totally in love with their souffle made with Grand Marnier and comes with a thick osmanthus sauce. Soft, light and airy. The black soybean tofu pudding is also served in wooden bucket with golden sugar on the side.

係OpenRice網頁見到十里洋場呢間新開嘅食肆,今日行開銅鑼灣順便試一試,果然唔錯值得推介!店舖位於利園二期,交通方便,我同朋友無訂枱都有位,但如果訂咗枱就有卡位坐,舒服好多,因為入面啲二人枱好close! 茶位18元位,店內環境裝修幾靚,仲播懷舊歌!我哋order咗女兒紅醉雞,件件都係雞肉仲浸透女兒紅酒香味,盛載著雞嘅碗送上枱時仲係冰凍,個碗都好特別!今次主要嚟試呢個脆煎灌湯小籠包,果然好味,蒸小籠包經常食,脆煎就第一次試,好脆好香,好似食鍋貼嘅感覺,但鍋貼就無灌湯係裏面,所以好正😍!上海粗炒就太甜啦,落咗好多糖,唔明點解要落咁多糖,油亦太多!甜品本來想揀梳乎厘,因為寫明要製作20分鐘,所以揀咗木桶豆腐花,等咗好耐都未到,問問侍應生,原來豆腐花亦都係即叫即製,所以都要等20幾分鐘,後來木桶豆腐花上枱時,一打開原來係黑豆製造,真係有驚喜,紅糖另上,載紅糖嘅器皿都好靚,黑豆營養價值高,用嚟整豆腐花更加好食,好特別👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻,如果唔想等太耐,可以早些落單!聽侍應生講呢度晚飯時段仲有人唱歌,叫我哋預先訂枱會好啲,今次午餐消費四百元正!

When you think of lunar year, the first activity that you can think of is the temporary Flower Market and the biggest one in Hong Kong would be held at Victoria Park. Therefore, my colleagues and I decided to go to Causeway Bay for dinner and then walk around the market. Couple of appetizers have been served to the table, first will be the Five-Spiced Duck Tongue. The duck tongue might seem and sound gross for foreigners, but it is very common in Chinese dishes. Five spices marinated duck tongue is flavorful and al dente, hence I just keep eating one after one lol.

The second appetizer is Braised Beef with Aged Mandarin Peel, the diced beef was marinated in the dry aged mandarin peel’s broth. The beef cubes are soft and tender, that hint of fruity mandarin flavor is totally appealing.

Up next is the Smoked Soft-Boiled Eggs with Black Truffle Pearl, it was being served with a glass cover and you are able to see the smoke inside. Once the server removed the cover, you can smell a smoky sense from the mist. The soft-boiled eggs carried a strong smoky taste and it got a niche of pepper on the surface, I can say this is one of the best smoked eggs in Hong Kong.

The common eel dish would be the Japanese grilled eel, yet this Honey Glazed Crispy Eel is completely different and will amaze you. The deep fried eel was coated by the sticky and sweet honey, its crunchy texture is a bit similar to eating popcorn.

Down to the main course, there is no doubt that this Deep-Fried Braised Mutton Brisket with Homemade Vinegar Sauce is my favorite among all. If you love the unique taste of the lamb, this is the dish that you cannot be missed. The meat is tender and juicy and its skin is absolutely crispy, also there are some edible soft bones as well, fantastic texture. The whole dish is rather oily, thus is good to eat with the special vinegar sauce to neutralize it.

Another main course would be from the sea, Fried Whole Mandarin Fish in Brown Sauce. Cut some marks on the fish, next coat the fish with batter and deep-fried it, then the fish will end up like a pine cone with layers. After that, pour the sweet and sour sauce over the deep-fried fish. It is quite crunchy, nevertheless it is slightly floury, maybe they coated with too much batter.

Being a Shanghainese, heard about this restaurant and was really looking forward to it. Understood there are two sessions, 6 - 8 and 8:15 till close.  We picked the 6 pm session.Food: The food was OK, on par with Wu Kong and Evergreen Villa but portion is much smaller.  The leen go and red date pan fried cake was good.  Decor: Nice decor but when we went there there was no background music.  The roof is low so it was rather loud.  It reminds me of Mott 32 (if only the food and service is so good

Decor: Nice decor but when we went there there was no background music.  The roof is low so it was rather loud.  It reminds me of Mott 32 (if only the food and service is so good)
Service: Terrible.  Tea pot and water pot were left emptied for more than 15 minutes at least.  The worst part was at 7:40, we were asked to get the bill despite the fact that dessert has not yet arrived after waiting for 20 minutes.  Then while the dessert came, they start collecting our plates, some of our guests just placed the dessert on the plates and those were taken away! Appalling service. 
Price: Around 300 per head, average price.
Overall: The food is promising, I hope the management can train up the staff and up the game to become a top notch Shanghai restaurant.   At current service attitude, there will not be a second visit.  It is a pity.

今日年初三,諗住同屋企人食開年飯,試下新野。本來都好期待試呢間新餐廳,見OpenRice 介紹到好似好吸引咁。點知呢度既份量極細少,presentation 又唔得,碟碟都細得離譜,真係好唔得體,感覺好寒酸,上菜既時候都真係幾失望。屋企人個個都劣評而且呢度樓底好矮,音樂又大聲,所以真係好吵,嘥哂啲靚裝修。唔知係咪因為呢度新開張,侍應又服務麻麻,咁既質素真係無下次。希望佢會有改進啦...不過都未必有下次啦...

The restaurant is still in its soft opening period, but it is destined to succeed as it hits the right spot on all category : Ambience, food and price.The interior is very atmospheric and projects a nostalgic shanghai glamour with modern interpretation. The food is refined with a modern twist. The pricing is fair (Dinner HK$300-400 per head )and not outrageously expensive like other high end restaurants. I highly recommend it for business , intimate or family occasions.
