I bought a Groupon deal where for $48 (noninclusive of a $5 service charge), you get a lunch set that incluces appetizer, noodle dish and a drink. Supposedly original price is $99. As it was in Causeway Bay and I had never tried (nor heard of this place), I decided to give it a try for lunch before going to work later in the afternoon. The front of the restaurant was very .... it looked like I was back in Canada and walking into some Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. The front of the restaurant was very .... it looked like I was back in Canada and walking into some Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Decor had every typical Chinese decorative item you could think of from red and gold to Chinese lions and lanterns and dragons. I haven't seen a restaurant in Hong Kong do that but it was in all the Chinese restaurants in Canada while I was growing up and seriously ... I thought that's what Chinese restaurants were supposed to look like until I moved here. I almost expected them to offer me a fortune cookie afterwards.
From the menu, I chose braised chicken noodles in soup, pork dumplings as my appetizer and cold soymilk. I was also given Jasmine tea in a teapot like any other Chinese restaurant.
