朋友生日,早就book了呢間食1800,諗住咁早應該少啲人,可以慢慢食我地兩個叫左Sukiyaki Set (beef)(可以一牛一豬,都係同一個鍋煮)前菜: 廚師會好仔細咁逐一介紹個甘薯真係好好味😍蒸蛋: 好滑😂唔記得啲醬汁叫咩名堂不過細細份,咁洗驚好頂肚另外加左個生蠔話係新鮮運送,由開生蠔到洗雪過程都係面前做食落真係好鮮甜,又大隻重頭戲: 有4種牛肉包括: 肉眼,西冷,上肩,下肩味道由淡到濃廚師會建議食左一啖,先再點生蛋的確,肉眼點左蛋汁既話,牛味就唔太出相反,上下肩點左蛋汁,牛味一樣出,互相輝映配菜會間住間住咁上,十分好食完仲有個滑蛋牛肉飯見到煮既過程,真係好治癒最後,當然唔少得有甜品啦有奶凍,上面係啤梨另一個係紅豆麻糬,裏面有一粒粒粟子整體非常滿意!侍應好主動咁斟茶,見啲飯食完,都會問洗唔洗再添隔離嗰枱約1900到廚師話會一次過煮哂啲野食佢地可以慢慢食因為廚師下一場係1930🤔而我地1800去到個廚師就煮一樣,我地就食一樣咁所以時間許可,book早啲好似好啲(≧∇≦)

今晚約了朋友吃Sukiyaki Mori喜壽燒專門店,向來喜壽燒一般日本餐廳或居酒屋有機會有得吃,但一般都不是很正宗,正宗專門吃喜壽燒的餐廳在香港很少見,所以這間一定要試試。我們約了八點,餐廳內都坐滿客人,侍應安排卡位給我們,店內座位不多,餐牌就只有一個喜壽燒套餐和日本酒餐牌,套餐有日本牛/豚肉可選,侍應都推薦我們吃牛,等了一會,先上前菜柚子啫喱、豆腐蓉玉米🌽、支豆單是賣相已值100分,柚子啫喱味道清新,還有一鮮蝦和迷你茄子,鮮味十足,豆腐蓉味道超濃,粟米清甜。蒸豆腐- 豆味重,很滑,起初以為醬汁很咸,但食落又不是太咸。鮮蔬菜都很新鮮,特別推介蒟蒻麵和木薯糕,很彈牙。廚師說是用A4滋賀縣和牛,有肉眼、西冷、肩胛肉,油脂分佈很平均,入口即溶。高級餐廳全程有廚師親自主理和介紹。最後有即制滑蛋丼飯蛋味道超香滑,再配上極細蔥花甜品是燉奶配青檸啫喱,青檸啫喱最後食,可清一清口氣,認真細心。總結:不論食材、環境、服務都是高水準,很合適三五知己和慶祝生日飯情侶,中上環這價錢還算可以,全程有廚師親自落廚,值得推介。

公司搞聯歡會,日子早已訂好,地點亦講好為「すき焼 森」,訂座就交由XO仔負責。一心諗住九個人可以坐吧枱,點知接線生話派對當晚早有貴客訂咗兩個吧位,亦即最多只可接受八人訂座。經五分鐘商量後,其中一位經理就好客氣咁自動退出,話希望我地班細o既可以玩得開心啲。於是小肥就立即打返去餐廳訂咗剩餘o既八個吧位。哈,萬萬估唔到掛線後隔咗五分鐘左右,餐店會打返電話黎,告知佢地當晚唔夠師傅招呼我地,要求我地遲個幾鐘先好去食,又或者係索性改期,整個訂座流程也太不專業了吧?!老闆搞個聯歡會就係想俾大家一個早收工o既理由去拆餐勁,無奈我地提出話可以食早啲卻即時被拒,咁當初就唔好話改八個人就訂得啦!香港食肆多的是,九人開P當真不難搵地方,經過今早訂座竟可也燒燶,細佬話過唔會俾錢去試「すき焼 森」,即使有人話請都要諗過先,因為今次堅嬲!

第一次去呢間餐廳係食夜晚,整體都好好,食物好好,服務亦好好!直至食完第二次,對呢間餐廳係極度失望,就算食物質素再好我都決定以後唔會再去呢間餐廳亦不會推薦比其他人!事緣係我地一行四人book左閒日星期一嘅1:00食lunch ,前一晚打去book時侍應話只有table枱,無得叫$580嘅sukiyaki set ,只可以叫mini sukiyaki ,估計應該係四人枱坐四人唔夠位做關西風嘅sukiyaki ,咁我地都照book左!當日我地因爲塞車係遲到左大約15mins ,係非常唔好意思,雖然塞車都唔係遲到藉口,但惡夢就係呢度開始!趕到時我地都行到好熱,一入去待應係完全無笑容,唔緊要,我唔要求好殷勤嘅服務態度,但坐底左一陣,我地問下待應可否開大小小冷氣,因為太熱,然後見到侍應同女經理講,然後見到女經理講左一個字:「熱?(再加一個冷笑表情)」!到食到一半時,我地覺得越食越熱,枱頭望下冷氣機,發現冷氣機係熄左(坐底時冷氣係有開嘅),因為見到冷氣機係熄左燈,再望多一陣女經理見到我地望左咁耐好似知道我地發現左,佢先喺我地面前開返冷氣!到呢一刻我先諗究竟我地做錯咩事要另到女經理明知我地好熱都仲要熄

因為佢地講笑或者傾計都聽得出。

開心的氛圍 唔使下下食日本野都懶高檔既

換酒時那些反應
嚴肅性來說是差一點
但其實本人更愛這種隨意一點的氛圍

總的來說 除了蛋可以進步之外
野飲有昆蟲扣分之外
單就食物質素及用餐環境來說
還是很高分的

The beef sukiyaki is a must-get item. Overall, the sukiyaki sauce is richly flavored and diluted with kombu soup base (note: most restaurants only use water to dilute the sukiyaki sauce). The sauce is rich and NOT salty, which is very important for me as I do not want to get thirsty all night after having such a big meal.Beef quality is fantastic. Beef quality is fantastic. Overall portion is very generous imo, each person can get about 3-4 big slices of wagyu beef in the sukiyaki dinner set.

The egg rice at the end of the meal is definitely a must-get. The egg flavor sinks in well into the beef, it just takes the flavor to a richer level.

He desserts were also done to the right level of lightness to perfectly wrap up the meal.

You may have noticed that I have left a comment earlier on their Mini Sukiyaki lunch set and I was really disappointed because their Mini Sukiyaki set was essentially a shabushabu but not sukiyaki at all. I made the reservation too late so only managed to get a table seat instead of the bar table. It was quite hot and there was no air-conditioning so we kept sweating especially when we were eating the hot food. We had to ask them twice in order to have the temperature lowered but then in the middle of our meal they raised the temperature again so I had to ask them again......

We ordered 2 Sukiyaki sets but later on (after we had left!) we found out that the salad had not been served to us!

The 魷魚 was slightly crispy with a gentle smoky flavour. The veggies were quite fresh. Overall, this appetizer was pretty nice.

The container was so big but the egg custard was so little. It looked very pleasant to the eyes though. The eggs were really smooth with a strong flavour of tofu. The texture was quite interesting given the crispy 櫻花蝦.

The order of eating was from bottom to top in the increasing level of fat. This was the portion for two persons, which was quite small given the price I would say.

When my lunch partner finished one egg, the chef asked if he would like to have one more without anybody telling us that they were going to charge us $20 more. We were a bit surprised when we saw that on the bill. Next time we should really remember to ask before ordering.

Then the chef started the sukiyaki with rib eye and leek. It was quite enjoyable watching the chef cook for us, like the way he sprinkled sugar and added sauce onto the food. Maybe most of the cost of the meal really went to the service of the chef. But when he was cooking towards the end, the sukiyaki pot spilt out some sauce onto my face and blouse. It was ok. The chef did apologise.

We were given a very small bowl of rice which could be refilled for free. The rice was quite moist which was my cup of tea.

It was the first bowl prepared by the chef. The rib eye didn't have a strong flavour of beef nor a strong flavour of yummy sukiyaki sauce. It was quite disappointing indeed. Dipping into the egg just made the sukiyaki sauce even more diluted.

The second bowl was all vegetables. I thought vegetables should be served later after eating more beef. The vegetables could have been better, especially those cabbages which were a bit rough. The tofu were quite good though. The tofu-like cube on the left was very smooth!

The third bowl was sirloin with some refreshing greens. The sirloin tasted more or less like the rib eye.

There was some leftover sirloin with potato noodles and leek. The potato noodles didn't taste particularly good as they didn't absorb the sauce well. It was really quite disappointing.

The shoulder gave a much richer taste of beef than rib eye and sirloin. The greens were so pretty with a nicely tied knot. Still the beef was not comparable to those we recently ate in Tokyo...

We could choose between rice and udon. Of course we went for the udon. The chef cooked udon first and then beef pieces with our leftover eggs to make the toppings. The udon looked really nice with the toppings. The udon itself was pretty good, not super al dente but acceptable, and it was very smooth. Again, it was not comparable to those sukiyaki noodles we ate in Tokyo.

We asked for hot lemon water (they didn't offer cold drinks) instead of coffee.

Overall, I would say this set was quite pricey at $580 + 10% considering the quality of the beef and the portion. I had expected better quality of the beef and sukiyaki itself (although my expectation could have been too high given our recent amazing sukiyaki experience in Tokyo). Having said that, the service of the Japanese chef (but not the staff) was quite good. In short, I would never go back again.

High expectations given the long reservation time. They give you four slices of beef per set. The slices of beef got smaller and smaller. Started off as normal size but by the time you get to the last slice it was like half a slice Very unspectacular taste! Stone face chef. Don’t bother trying!

Very soon we were served this salad. The vegetables were really fresh indeed. There were two to three bread pieces to add some crispy texture to the salad.

Very very soon we were served our Mini Sukiyaki Lunch Set with all the sides. Must say that they were really efficient. However, I was so so disappointed that it was just shabu-shabu in sukiyaki soup base rather than real sukiyaki. I think the name "Mini Sukiyaki" and that person answering our query over the phone the day before were really deceiving.

Heard that they offered 近江牛. Maybe the quality of these beef slices was not so good, I found them not so up-to-standard because they totally lacked the taste of beef and they were just too fatty.  The beef couldn't offer a rich flavour of the sukiyaki soup base either although I had tried to soak the beef into the soup. Maybe should have soaked them for longer, despite the risk of overcooking the beef.

The egg was very good, offering a strong egg flavour which smelt so good and was so smooth. Could tell that it was imported from Japan. It looked so pretty and the egg yolk was a bit hard to break.

There were some veggies and udon underneath the beef. The vegetables tasted much better than the beef, well absorbing the sukiyaki soup base. The mushrooms, in particular, tasted really delicious which were so sweet and went along well with the soup base. The udon was so smooth too! I wish there were more udon.

Could tell that the rice should be imported from Japan as well. They were quite moist which I really liked although I normally don't like rice. So generous that they were willing to give you more when asked.

Miso soup was served really really hot! Great for the low temperature! Nothing special about the pickles.

Although not specified on the menu, ice-cream was offered to end the meal. It was really appreciated because I'm such an ice-cream lover. The bowl and the spoon were kept cold to serve the ice-cream. This strawberry ice-cream tasted good, although less smooth and yummy than my favourite Haagen Dazs ice-cream and there were some ice cubes inside unfortunately.

In short, should have ordered the Sukiyaki Set instead to satisfy my Sukiyaki desire. But not sure if I would come back again given the disappointing beef as well.

新嘅一年,我同事就suggest 去呢個佢食完覺得回味無窮嘅日式料理。我地一行三人order 左一個set, 首先第一道菜已經令我surprise!我本第係一個對蒸蛋好有要求嘅人,滑係基本。呢個蛋唔止滑 仲有好多配料係入面,有三,四隻蝦,食起黎有濃濃嘅海鮮味。我總係覺得越係平平無其嘅食材 越係需要功夫整得好食食完個前菜,已經好期待我份雪花牛肉。有日本廚師出黎幫我煮,我地仲淨係等食師傅話所有材料都係日本過黎 連d蛋都係。就連佢d蔬菜都好juicy 好甜!個牛肉入口即溶,脂肪分佈平均,有濃濃嘅牛肉香味。之後用呢d肉汁黎煮嘅蔬菜,真係無得彈!娃娃菜吸曬肉汁,食起黎好爽甜不過今日嘅主角就係呢個滑蛋飯,將牛肉嘅肉汁加上半熟蛋,雖然我地已經好飽 但都忍唔住要食一碗飯!

My first grilled sukiyaki by an expert chef. Felt like an individual tepanyaki.
The simple yet delicate starter which helps open your palette. The chawanmushi that followed was so good. Chunks of sweet crab meat with a dashi like broth over smooth and creamy steamed egg.
The star of the meal was the meats. Rich, marbled beef grilled in sukiyaki sauce giving it a sweet and salty crisp. Dip and consume with the grilled leeks and it's a perfect bite to the end.
All the grilled vegetables were so fresh and tasty. Followed by a scrambled eggs and beef over rice, miso soup and dessert.
This meal was A+ and certainly worth the price.
From service to food, we had a very enjoyable dinner and would definitely be back for more!!!

對,絕對難找;香港很難做到有這麼正宗又高級的 Sukiyaki。

結果今天來了這間 Sukiyaki Mori,完全符合我的要求;他們完全符合了「正宗」,「高級」,「美味」的定義,將壽喜燒完美演譯。

全店只得二十個座位左右,我們六點來,八點離開的時候差不多全滿,如果要來我建議六點鐘來,以及訂位。

環境很舒適,而且招呼極好,服務員極有禮貎,上菜倒茶倒酒全部在左邊上,這是基本禮儀,但有很多餐廳都做不到。

服務員很細心,她們會不停留意你的枱是否乾淨,茶杯是否滿;你差不多喝一口茶,她們就會幫你加茶,非常貼心。

有很多細微位她們都做得很好的,我最喜歡看細節,我也想告訴她們,她們做得這樣好,客人是會留意到的。

我只說事實。事實是,在甜品上了枱之後,她們特意幫我換了一杯全新的熱茶;這好像很不重要,但其實很重要的,為甚麼?

試想想,你吃了那麼豐富的一餐,而且牛的脂肪極多,到最後吃飽了,有一杯很熱的茶,必然會幫你消滯,讓你非常滿足。

這裏可以叫套餐,可以散叫;我建議是叫套餐,價錢應該會較為相宜而且有預算。

套餐選擇也很簡單:Sukiyaki 牛,Shabushabu 牛或豬,Omakase。

Omakase 要早一天訂,先刪除。

Shabushabu 我個人來說一直都沒有好感,因為感覺沒有味道,像是打邊爐滾水碌肉一樣,所以也不叫。

所以最後就順理成章的叫了 Sukiyaki 牛。

先來前菜,右下角的是日本柿,再加上胡麻醬,非常搭配,柿極林,而且很甜。

左下角是白果,還有兩小片日本薯仔,吃得很過癮。

左上角則是磨菇,再加一些菜,也是美味;清清口腔,為這頓豐盛晚宴展開序幕。

牛一入口即溶化,有很重牛味;坦白說,神戶,松阪,甚至乎宮崎,佐賀牛我都吃過很多,卻未吃過近江牛,這次見識了,和神戶牛不相伯仲。

最後的一片牛來自牛肩,師傅用心的搭配了一條菜;請你留意,這條菜是打結的,沒有心機肯定做不到,你見過有打結的菜嗎?這麼好心機只是為了美觀,我就沒有見過了,師傅很用心。

再加一杯熱茶,為我這頓晚飯劃上一個完美的句號。

如果香港有一間餐廳會讓我久不久也要去一次,這間 Sukiyaki 森絕對是我的不二之選。

好好想想「正宗」,「高級」,「美味」的定義。我在香港,暫時找不到有一間壽喜燒店符合這三點要求。

絕對值得一去再去。
