It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we decided to have the celebration at Buenos Aires Polo Club. The staffs were friendly and cheerful.We ordered the special set offered through Openrice booking. It contained two soups, chorizos and dumpling for sharing, two main courses, one side dish and one dessert.The place was too dark to take good photos. So I only took some.The soup was quite yummy. There were three types of dumplings we could choose and I picked the spinach one. It was quite creamy and the dough was crunchy.
As for the main course we ordered one for each. It was quite funny that we could choose our own cutlery but both of the chosen ones were not very good for cutting the steak😂😂The steak was so-so, tender but not very juicy. The salmon was fantastic! It was super tender and fragrant.
I was surprised that we could only choose one side dish. We picked fries. The first few ones were delicious but it was too full to be finished. Why not allowing the customers to pick two with smaller portions?
As for the dessert it was marshmallow sticks. It was my boyfriend’s birthday so they offered us an instant photo, though the resolution is quite poor. The marshmallow stick was surprisingly good. We could grill it over the firing charcoal and make it golden. There was icecream hiding inside the marshmallow. Not too sweet, one of the highlights of the meal.
Overall, the atmosphere was good and the salmon was really spectacular. But it didn’t really meet my expectation for a “steakhouse”.
