Went with high hopes, left in disappointment...And I had to go all the way across the harbour!!!!It wasn't a proper buffet, it didn't even have a roast! I was SO frustrated when I found that out! If I had known, I wouldn't even have went... from previous pics, I see yaki beef, lamb chops etc!The oysters were not fresh nor cold, I only had 2 pieces, and usually I have at least 8, which says alot about the quality.The sashimi weren't fresh and were of low quality, I dare say the sweet shrimps at G

The sashimi weren't fresh and were of low quality, I dare say the sweet shrimps at Genki Sushi taste alot better. The salmon, although fat, has no rich oily flavour and the hamachi was plain awlful, the scallops were off and fishy. The cutting technique was lousy. However the sushi chef made the sushis nicely, I meant the form, not the fish.
No meat offered aside teppanyaki pork, duck breast and curry (恆河's taste better). However the teppan scallops were nicely done, on the other hand the sole was tough like bark
The yakitori wings were over done, chicken skin not crispy >.<
Tempura was the best part, although they didn't do the 打花technique, the prawns were fresh and crunchy.
Cold cuts were lousy, we had choice of beef carpaccio, which was flavourless, smoked salmon and SALAMI!!! WTF SALAMI? And when I questioned the waiter, he said they have parma ham, I said NO YOU DON'T he said they serve them on a rota basis and went into the kitchen and got me 4 slices. Never through lunch did I see it being served!
Service was really good though. And our waiter Mr. Kenneth Leung, looked like 黃宗擇hahaha!!!
Conclusion,overall selection was amazingly little. although it's only $230, I would rather pay 100 more and have the proper buffet at Marriot, which is ten times better... I am sure that the hotel management are being stingy and are cutting corners after their grand opening
