This is one of my favourite go to restaurants in Central, perfect settings for both private or casual dinner. Usually go with the tasting menu and so should you be! Chef will make small changes to the dishes being served from time to time. I've been here for well over 5 times and so far the menu has never disappointed. My personal favourite is their octopus skewer, smoky, with a hint of char-grill flavor but not overpowering.  Also the marinated tuna salad with water melon, combo sounds odd but

Usually go with the tasting menu and so should you be! Chef will make small changes to the dishes being served from time to time. I've been here for well over 5 times and so far the menu has never disappointed. 

My personal favourite is their octopus skewer, smoky, with a hint of char-grill flavor but not overpowering.  Also the marinated tuna salad with water melon, combo sounds odd but tastes like heaven I promise you. 

Also check out their cocktail selection! Gas chamber is my go to drink, friends tried their sake cocktail and were very impressive too.

Have to order the Grilled Octopus!!!! I am sorry the photo looks gross. That’s because it was so good I ate most of it before I remembered to take a photo. This Octopus Skewer ($150) is out of this world. I usually only eat tentacles because other parts of Octopus can be quite chewy. But this one is not like that at all!! This Octopus Skewer ($150) is out of this world. I usually only eat tentacles because other parts of Octopus can be quite chewy. But this one is not like that at all!! It’s like eating tender chicken but with a slightly different texture. The spice rub was also quite aromatic.


The Seabass Ceviche ($150) was not bad. It tasted refreshing and good for the ladies to take a great food pic for Insta

Also had the “Ki-mo-chi” Fried Chicken ($150). Nothing special, just normal fried chicken nuggets. I personally think Maccas does it better LOL


I also had a cocktail called Tokyo Affairs. It’s pink, sweet, and slightly fruity. It had a flower clipped on the top of the glass.
Kinda weird, as it kept poking into my nose (I spied on other people, they faced the same challenge). But didn’t want to take it out cause it looks pretty (geez basic girls’ dilemma 🤦🏻‍♀️)

This place is definitely worth a try, even just for drinks!

朋友Booked 咗7:30 ,去到已經full house . 好好彩分配左最入個張枱,感覺舒服啲,中間D位實在太壓迫喇。食物質素唔錯; 最鍾意Ceviche Japones,調味啱啱好; Nikkei Mussels 好食,但係冇乜特別,比較細粒肉;Tuna & Watermelon Tartare唔錯,分開食味道有少少鹹但配番西瓜一齊食,中和番D醋味,味道清新;串燒一般,可以留肚點其他。Maguro Nuevo一般; 今次冇乜點到秘魯食物,只係點左日式fusion菜,下次去再試埋其他。Ceviche Japones Tuba & watermelon TartareGrilled octopus

相識多年的朋友生日,今年想找間特別一點餐廳,於是想起上次餐廳週想試的tokyolima,作為Pirata集團旗下餐廳已叫人放心一試。我們叫了很多差不多十碟食物,幾乎每一碟放到口裡都驚呼一次「好好食!」個人認為,特別是la causa、魚生和所有牛肉都是必吃,肯定是無法在街外找到的味道!!另外,貪玩叫了這杯cocktail,打開盒子時會冒煙,而且隨之而來是一陣煙燻香味,但......喝下去只是一堆烈酒,哈,不太懂欣賞。因為是慶祝生日,餐廳早就打來確認人名,原本餐廳平日是有特別慶祝方法,但我們當天遇不上呢,但仍很有心送上即影即有答簽滿職員名的咭,外附時限一個月的pirata group $100 coupon

餐廳的食物水準非常高,頭盤吞拿魚他他的味道非常特別,配上西瓜的感覺好新鮮!最出色莫過於炸蝦和炸雞,炸而不膩!甜品蘋果蛋糕也十分足料。員工的服務態度非常好👍🏻是一間非常適合慶祝週年和生日的餐廳!Overall this is a very high quality restaurant with excellent hospitality and awesome cuisine. Worth to visit if you want to celebrate anniversary or birthday!!!!!

I tried this early bird omacasa deal ($298) at TokyoLima that offers the best of Nikkei cuisine! Remember to specify during booking that you want to order the omacasa deal!Tacu Tacu rice by Peruvian chef Arturo Melendez. It goes down smoothly with a delicious cocktail 🍹🎉 Also tried the grilled rib eye steak which was 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼And the el taco was yummy too but could’ve been largerThe Maguro Nuevo 🍣 roll was just okay... not very memorable.

Tokyo Lima has been on my list to try for a while, from when it was one of the few South American-Japanese places (no longer the case) in Hong Kong.Firstly, I appreciate that although initially allocated bar seats for the two of us (not something we requested when booking online), they managed to find us a normal table just before the booking time. Tokyo Lima has been on my list to try for a while, from when it was one of the few South American-Japanese places (no longer the case) in Hong Kong.

Firstly, I appreciate that although initially allocated bar seats for the two of us (not something we requested when booking online), they managed to find us a normal table just before the booking time. However, that might not have been the blessing it seemed when we realised how loud the music was. I'm all for a lively atmosphere, but 2 people dining (at 7:30 pm) really shouldn't have to shout to talk to each other across a small table.

Food-wise, can't really complain that anything was bad, but it never quite going beyond a good average. The Ceviche Japones embodied this, where the description evoked higher expectations than the dish that came. The tuna and watermelon tartare was slightly better, but the soy dressing made everything taste samey (basically raw tuna and soy sauce) rather than being able to understand why the various elements were in the dish.

The Spicy Hamachi rolls were a bit better, where the mint chimichurri brought something interesting to the party. But to my palate it still lacked something in the mix to be complete/balanced. The pork belly buns were even more one dimensional, mainly tasting of (wait for it) pork and bread. The pickled onions were nowhere near acidic enough (or plentiful enough) to cut through the grease and starch, and the aji amarillo sauce didn't have the sweetness and vibrancy to lift it all. [Compare: the pork belly baos from Little Bao which are everything!] 

Ironically, the best dish was the Ki-mo-chi fried chicken, which was a very generous portion for a 'small plate'. Juicy, perfectly spiced, and fried to a crisp skin/exterior with juicy interior. One telling thing was that this was the only dish that seemed to take more than 5-10 minutes to come out. The others came out at such a pace that undoubtedly there was only some little finalising and assembly required.

Service was decent for Hong Kong standards, though at times a little flustered if you caught them in the middle of doing something else and at times perhaps a little too casual (horseplay between the serving staff can be sometimes charming/fun, but can also border on unprofessional).

Overall, the food is probably going to be acceptable to a wide range of people, and priced well (HK$1,200 for two with about 3 cocktails each). Wouldn't quite object if someone were to choose it, but would not choose it myself. I find myself missing El Mercado (Wanchai) which served similar (but much superior) cuisine but has since closed.

I was hanging out with friends, my friend told me this restaurant is always fully booked and he booked a week in advance. Why so popular? I totally understand why now - the environment is comfort and romantic, plus the food is fantastic!They offer fusion food across Asian and western cuisine- the dishes transform from ordinary to a higher level. The cocktail is refreshing and fruity, wonderful! Ended my dinner with banana boat and brownie, satisfying!

You can feel the restaurant atmosphere when you first see you entrance door and decorations. They do have a long dining table and private corner. It is very fit for gathering and celebrations with friends.Staff services were excellent. The food was also fantastic! We had ordered free flow alcohol drinks 🥂and chef signature dishes. Each dishes were full of surprise and not disappointing. The most delicious one were the beef skewers and Tuna Tata.

Staff services were excellent.

The food was also fantastic!
We had ordered free flow alcohol drinks 🥂and chef signature dishes. Each dishes were full of surprise and not disappointing. The most delicious one were the beef skewers and Tuna Tata.

先不論菜式味道,它的賣相尤如藝術品般呈現,顯見廚師心思。三個別緻的小陶瓷碗盛載著炸好的鮮蝦和配菜醬汁,整齊排列在長碟上,那麼相機不客氣了,先吃。奉勸大家一句,這道菜要盡快品嚐,不然包裹鮮蝦的蛋皮便會軟掉,黯然失色。襯底薯蓉拌入了紅菜頭,紅艷艷的薯蓉配上綠悠悠的牛油果和白飄飄的洋蔥沙律醬,口感新鮮且開胃,伴上炸蝦一起吃更是滿足。

《賣相比味道來得出色》
論賣相,吸引;論味道,平庸。這道牛油果吞拿魚壽司跟我平常在其他壽司店所吃到的沒多大分別,唯一差別在伴碟的紅菜頭醬汁非常搶眼,有增如食慾之效。

《魚香十足,值得推介》
鱈魚扒的表皮煎得金香可口,魚油沾滿了嘴角;肉質既結實,又有口感,啖啖是肉沒有魚骨。菜式簡單,沒有任何其他配料。謹記,魚要熱吃才好吃😋

。總結。👍🏻
只就這三道菜而言,餐廳的氣氛和設計比起食物來得出色,是談笑舒憂的好地方。其他招牌菜式便需待下回分解了。

餐廳裝修都幾有特色,可能一入去時間尚早,唔係太多客人。但係過左七點半,就開始滿,同埋好多人收工過黎happy hour,而且音樂都開始越來越大聲,由一間可以坐低傾下計既地方變左做一間酒吧。 食物質素都唔差,味道特別,但係性價比不高。

餐廳裝修都幾有特色,可能一入去時間尚早,唔係太多客人。但係過左七點半,就開始滿,同埋好多人收工過黎happy hour,而且音樂都開始越來越大聲,由一間可以坐低傾下計既地方變左做一間酒吧。 食物質素都唔差,味道特別,但係性價比不高。
