First time writing a review on Openrice, because our feeling is really complicated...Food was really good, had the Christmas brunch with hubby. The courses were brought to us rather quick, we know that we are fast eaters, but the restaurant actually made it to keep up with our speed. Thumbs up!However, we were really disappointed with the "differentiated service". Given public holiday, we did not really dress up and just simply went in for our reservation made a few days prior to the actual holi
However, we were really disappointed with the "differentiated service". Given public holiday, we did not really dress up and just simply went in for our reservation made a few days prior to the actual holiday. At first we were seated in the darkest spot of the room, it was so dark that I could not see my boyfriend's face, not to mention anything on the table. Had to strongly request to get moved to a corner seat with proper lighting, and we were given the look by a few staff members as if we broke sth there.
For desert, we were offered one single pudding to split between the two of us, which is the first amongst all past experiences. Hence, we politely indicated our curiosity by asking the waitress, if there's anything else coming. The waitress told us confidently that she believed this is the end of our courses. Few minutes later, the couple seated next to us asked the same question, instead of telling them this is the end. The waitress went back to check with the kitchen and the manager also came along, brought them a sorbet and sincerely apologised.
Would be good if everyone can be treated equally in the same room, or at least don't let me know that I'm the less favourable one. If I knew speaking with a British accent would make a difference for the services you get, I would've practiced a bit with my friends before I went in.
