Tonight, It’s our usual girls gathering. We chose Shine in Tsim Sha Tsui because we discovered this place has a lot of seafood options, and as seafood lovers, this seems to be a must try. The restaurant is located on the 6th floor of Price tower. Once we walked out of the elevator, a trendy bar was in front of us with dimmed lighting created a romantic environment.The restaurant was themed as a 90s British pub with Morden elements. From the menu, many of the options include seafood, but in the main course there are also a few steak options, prices are on the up side. As we came for the seafood, we ordered a Hokkaido Scallop salad with salmon roe, a French fries with black truffle and a seafood platter to share.
The waiter kindly reminded us that the seafood platter size is huge when we wanted to also try the portobello with black truffle risotto.
First came the Hokkaido Scallop salad with salmon roe. The portion is large with a good amount of salmon roe and few slices of Scallop. While it is dressed with the black vinegar sauce and accompanied with some clementine and thin slices of green apple. The combination is good and refreshing.

Next come the French fries with black truffle. The fries seems like hand cut chips with potato skin attached and is served with ketchup with black truffle on top. However, unlike most hand cut chips, the potato taste wasn’t that strong thus lost the essence of good fries.

Finally, after a 20 minutes wait, it comes the seafood platter. The portion is HUGE. When it’s served on the table the guests around us were also put their eyes onto this big plate.

All seafood were either grilled or pan fired, especially the calamari and the scamps are fried in chilly sauces. The grilled tomato, corn and zucchini was a surprised in the seafood platter. The grill prawn was the most outstanding, which the meat is fresh and chewy. If you’re a seafood lover, sharing these with your table could be a good choice!
All in all, it was a great option in the neighbourhood with a comfortable environment, they also offered a wide range of cocktails and wines which we didn’t get to try but it’d be a great place to chill out with friends.
