The wait is still long even under the current covid-19 situation which proves how good this place is. Luckily we got here before 6 and ordered the usual goodies before the crowd started to gather.The fried rice portion was right for me (although some might say it's too much) and it comes with a spicy fish extract sauce which bring out the taste of the fried rice; the soup base of the noodle is a tad spicy and with its intense aroma, the perfectly cooked chewy noodle, it's one of my favorite boa

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, waited for around 20 minutes. We ordered a wagyu beef soup, a pork soup and Thai watercress. They sold out all the sliced pork in the pork soup and kindly compensated us with extra pork ball and an extra dish of pork cutlet - and it was delicious!Overall good food and great service! Definitely recommend!

Samsen is always the place for me when I need my comfort food. They are always my number 1 Thai resturant in HK. My usual order is always their thai milk tea, you can never miss this one. Its a little sweet but since the milk tea was already mixed, so I cannot request decrease on the sweetness for the drink ! the rich tea flavour and the creamy milk blends in perfectly ! How can I miss the best boat noodle in town ? yes it is pretty expensive boat noodle when you can get one for $12 in Thailand

How can I miss the best boat noodle in town ? yes it is pretty expensive boat noodle when you can get one for $12 in Thailand and this is over 10X the price ! The boat noodle consist of a very dark brown soup based and definitely not a smooth looking one ! yet the soup base is always amazing.... the intense aroma, a little spicy too ! The wagyu beef was semi-cooked, it was tender and delicious ! the noodle was chewy and not soggy like those thin Chinese style rice noodle !

Pad Thai is my second favourite dish here, served with large and fresh pawns. you can feel that Stir fried aroma... if you know what I mean ! the taste was well balance, it was not too sweet or sour, and the noodle was not too soft ! its just perfect as always !

Today I also tried their seasonal special their duck salad, which is a stir fried minced duck with herbs to be wrapped with fresh lettuce ! I have to say eating the duck itself was a little salty....... but then you wrapped with lettuce its nottoo bad ! but I still prefer their usual stuff !

I think I’ve ordered this Stir fried flat noodles with Wagyu ($138) every time... and it’s still my fav!
What I love the most is they use flat noodles and not all Thai restos can serve “chewy” flat noodles
it might not be shown in the picture here but there’s generous amount of Wagyu !
and for the sauce used makes the whole dish absolutely scrumptious !
I am very demanding when it comes to stir fried (Thai) noodles and this is for sure one of the best I’ve ever had

If you think rice noodles are too filling then this Stir fried glass noodles (or vermicelli) with seafood ($128) is the one for you

The sauce on the side is slightly sour and spicy which makes the dish soo flavourful... sooo appetising !
The noodles were cooked just right as well - one of the issues with a lot of restos offering vermicelli is that they’re always overcooked to a point that they’re so “soft” to eat and always breaking apart

My boyfriend and one of the friends had two bowls of this Boat noodles with pork ($128)
Meanwhile the soup base might not suit everyone’s liking but it’s still one of my favs - with the best soup anddd the soup noodles (cooked just right as well)!
I’m not sure how the soup was made and what were the exact ingredients were used to be honest but I just love it...
I had the one with Wagyu for the last few times I came and this one with pork did not disappoint me!

And of course how can I miss their icecream ?!
Had the coconut one before and we decided to have this Thai red tea one this time ($68)
It’s “silky smooth” and tastes exactly like the milk tea - always a great icecream flavour !
The coconut meat was again amazing with the icecream (I’m a super fan of coconut so it adds a bonus!)
Cute how they serve the icecream in the coconut shell as well!

Last but not least gotta give some credits to this Thai milk tea as usual ($48)
Seems that it gets sweeter every time I came back, quite sugary which I hope they can tone down on the sugar a little but heyy it remains one of the best Thai milk tea I’ve ever had


To conclude basically everything here is my fav so I can’t really pick my “favourite dish” ...

I’d recommend ordering at least one stir fried noodles and a bowl of their soup noodles for a party of 2 or above


Also their decors is another reason I had to came back - feels like I’m in Bangkok~

*Hope they can keep up the good work in their new Sheungwan branch

𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 has a super thicckk and rich broth with assorted herbs and spices, there were multitudes of miniature meatballs which were so juicy 🤤 my dad had high comments on the wagyu, he said that he could differentiate the wagyu slices w/ other restaurants clearly since they were much more beefy than the rest. tang of the broth was greatly absorbed by the thin rice noodles and the pork rinds and watercress added extra texture to the whole bowl, this bowl is simply delicious and rich in flavour! 🌟

𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 wasn't oily compared to most of the restaurants, it was super appetizing, the lime juice made it extra zesty and the crab meat wasn't those fake 蟹柳. you don’t feel fooled with its contents!

𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻, a surprising side ordered by my dad. i can tell that they were much thinner than market ones. it was delicately spiced and crispiness was all the way! it’s good for asmr-tists because every piece does make a sharp crunch!

surely we have to keep the streak going and here is the famous 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 to wrap up our cny lunch. not only the coconut ice cream was full-flavoured, it surprisingly harmonizes with all the toppings very well ⚡️ at first i thought that sweet corn and coconut ice cream is a no-no but nooo it turned out so well and the whole thing was creamy and heavenlyyyy 🥥

in 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹, i think our opinions were unanimous that all the dishes are exclusive, so newfangled and up to standards. i’m definitely going to try out their new dishes in the 𝖲𝗁𝖾𝗎𝗇𝗀 𝖶𝖺𝗇 𝖻𝗋𝖺𝗇𝖼𝗁 soon,, no kidding, this was a fantastic experience for me except for the packed environment in the wan chai branch.

炒通菜,嗌咗少辣,冇乜特別!d汁聚晒喺底,會愈食愈鹹!
朋友叫咗和牛飯,佢話一般,但男士食飯好過食麵,因為碗麵嘅份量只係啱一個正常食量嘅女仔,反而飯就有茶餐廳碟頭飯嘅份量!

呢個lunch就盛惠五舊水啦!

已經係第二次黎食泰面了,經常路過都大排長龍,早少少黎會比較易入座,不過太早到佢又會唔比你入去坐。賣的是Fusion菜,基本上佢地寫話辣既都真係好辣,建議唔食得辣既朋友就唔好試了。試左幾個餸,啲小菜真係比較普通,唔試都冇損失,特別係個咩炸豬皮。主食既話和牛同海鮮類既都唔錯,不過睇落份量係有啲細,男士既話可能會唔夠飽。以價錢黎講,呢個地點加咁唔舒服既座位,而且份量又細,感覺都幾唔抵,係有興趣可以一試既餐廳。順帶一提,我幾唔中意啲服務。話說佢地晚市開6:30PM,而且一定要齊人先比入,黎左兩次,店員都放自己啲朋友入去先,未夠鐘可以入,唔齊人又可以坐住先,真係非常唔公平。

話說知道有呢間野好耐下㗎啦,但係食泰國粉咁既價位真係唔係太值得,但又好評如潮喎,咁就唯有搵一個節日去食啦,就係周年慶祝了。等位等左好耐,有曾經諗過係咪真係要等落去,最後答案係值得一等嘅。叫咗一個和牛麵及一個雞麵,好味到呢~百幾蚊咁細碗都值!好有鮮味,湯底夠濃,將啲咁簡單咁低下階層嘅嘢煮到咁好味應該好難!我地坐bar枱,個廚好nice 問我地有冇食過,有介紹我哋食佢既甜品,知道我地食周年飯仲請左個湯丸我地食,好味,真係乜野都好味

一直都想嚟食船麵,難得友人今日肯等位,一於嚟等啦~ 結果等咗45分鐘首先,服務態度良好,由留名等枱至安排座位及落單,一一都有安排。由於枱與枱之間距離相當近,如身上有厚䄛和背囊,侍應們都會遙指牆上面嘅掛鉤,等你可以先掛上唔駛坐得好論盡。環境、音樂都似落咗酒bar一樣,如喜愛熱鬧氣氛,此店確係一間好選擇。Entrees 方面我哋叫咗虎蝦青芒果沙律同泰式蟹肉奄列 - 前者妹仔大過主人婆,成碟花生、芽菜同蝦乾仲多過啲青芒果絲;反而後者無論香味、鑊氣同味道都相當出色。主菜當然要食此行最大目的嘅船河 - 豬及牛兩個泰式濃湯河都有叫。兩個相比,個人覺得牛嘅較淋同好食,河粉係幼身果種,不過好掛湯汁,唔錯!甜品方面叫咗個椰子雪糕,十分值得一試,絕對係誠意之作 - 椰子雪糕加上花生粒同片片椰子肉,如果你係椰子迷就絕對不能錯過!另外我哋都叫咗啤酒同荔枝香茅梳打,埋單大概$750左右。雖然係香港米芝蓮推介,但我哋都應該唔會試第二次 - 原因係:食完個船麵當晚口渴非常,同真正係泰國食完船麵個感興趣好唔一樣⋯

主菜當然要食此行最大目的嘅船河 - 豬及牛兩個泰式濃湯河都有叫。兩個相比,個人覺得牛嘅較淋同好食,河粉係幼身果種,不過好掛湯汁,唔錯!

甜品方面叫咗個椰子雪糕,十分值得一試,絕對係誠意之作 - 椰子雪糕加上花生粒同片片椰子肉,如果你係椰子迷就絕對不能錯過!
