You can now beat #samsen never-ending line with its pick-up service. Always intimidated by the line, I seldom go to samsen, but recently binging on fish sauce because I was making #kimchi.. made me crave for some Thai food. (Yes it's food association..) Anyways Samsen doesn't disappoint. The food was ready on time at 6:25, and the payment went smoothly. The middle table in the restaurant is reserved for quarantine, making the line even longer because there is less table to distribute. So I just laugh at the low lives who are lining up while I picked up my winning food.

Yummy as usual, kinda makes me want to order around my neighborhood more! (im sure there is an economy term for this behavior, something to do with skrt!) Boat noodle is not available for delivery unfortunately, but the ice cream is! Have you tried their thai-tea ice-cream with young coconut and peanuts? It's a godsend 🤤

Damage: Three of us spent $218 per person for 1 main each, and shared 1 appetizer and 1 dessert, no drinks. 

What we ordered: For the 3 of us, we ordered 2 boat noodle, 1 pad Thai, 1 green mango spicy salad (see photo below), 1 coconut ice cream. I will say they're all authentic, but the highlight is with boat noodle. The portion is also alright. You can be full with just one main.

This is my 3rd time visiting this shop in Wan Chai. Despite my hate of long wait and low budget, I always come back for their famous boat noodle every time I have a craving. Personally, I say it is the best boat noodle in Hong Kong. 

Our wait is 30 mins which is not bad but it was hot and there isn't much shades to avoid the sunlight during lunch time. There's no reservation too. From memory, dinner time is even busier but they also have more food selection to pick from (their papaya salad is really not bad). Nice and clean deco. Staffs are very polite and helpful.

Boat noodle is by far the best dish. It is expensive but in all fairness they use Wagyu beef. The best part of this is their broth, it is thick and tasteful. I think it's a bit too thick (compared to the ones in Thailand) but that's still great. They also  have chill vinegar and chili oil  as condiment to add some spice to the dish, very authentic.

Pad Thai is quite standard but also not bad in my opinion. However, I think you can find cheaper price at other restaurants.  Prawn is great though, quite fresh and big.

Green mango spicy salad is a tad too sweet, and could be more sour. However,  it is still within acceptable range (by me) and perhaps works more for international taste buds. I like the fact that they use dried shrimp; quite nice and authentic. Would recommend this dish really.

Coconut ice scream is alright. I think they use too much cream when compared to original ones that use predominantly coconut milk. Other than that have no other complaint.

飲品方面 佢地樣樣都好吸引 好啱夏天飲,最後我揀咗 🌟椰子荳冰🌟,朋友就order 咗一杯限定🌟西瓜Cocktail..兩杯都好好飲,唔伏,朋友仲encore咗多一杯添 哈哈!

My principle is not to line up for food...it’s crazy I know.But there’s an exception to Samsen, I lined up once for 45 mins from 7:30pm after work.Surprisingly, this week I went, I was able to go in without a line, of course I took it!As a returned customer, I already decided to have Wagyu Flat Noodles and Thai Milk Tea. Without disappointment, Flat Noodles are fried just right, I love the chewy texture! Wagyu beef are perfectly cooked! If you have a chance to sit at the bar, look at the actions

Surprisingly, this week I went, I was able to go in without a line, of course I took it!

As a returned customer, I already decided to have Wagyu Flat Noodles and Thai Milk Tea.

Without disappointment, Flat Noodles are fried just right, I love the chewy texture! Wagyu beef are perfectly cooked!

If you have a chance to sit at the bar, look at the actions in the kitchen, Chefs are meticulously preparing our food

夏天排隊的確有點辛苦,因為好多人都話呢間野好好食,所以就同朋友一齊去食。環境就真係比較逼,轉身都有難度,我覺得如果係想同朋友傾吓計就唔好去,因為都幾嘈同坐得幾唔舒服講返食物先,蟹肉炒飯好香同埋味道都唔錯,百香果都好飲,金邊粉正常,燒豬頸肉同豬肉生菜包都有驚喜,炒通菜就比較細碟,炸豬皮都幾香口,總括嚟講食物都好食。最後我哋嗌左椰子雪糕,嘩好好食同埋好有泰國嘅感覺,即刻想飛去泰國。

這泰式虎蝦炒金邊粉也不錯。虎蝦大大隻,蝦肉爽口Q彈,金邊粉炒得半乾帶濕,很有鑊氣又香口。加上調味走正宗泰風,酸甜味沒有過重,反而是鹹、酸、甜微妙的平衡。


怪不得這小店常常排長隊,客似雲來,而且有米芝蓮的推介,值得一訪再訪。

生日假期,午餐選了Samsen 想食泰國菜 1:30點左右到 前面已經有三四枱客人,夏日炎炎,中間想放棄 🥵但係其他人講到咁好食,我要食!😋等左30分鐘左右即可入去,menu選擇不多,但其實咁先好(?),唔洗煩選擇困難,店又可以專注做好幾款,可能就係samsen好食的秘密😂😆見到有d排隊既人都會先order飲品(椰青,西瓜冰etc)一路排 一路飲 我地三個女人,叫左三樣main course,食得曬,飽飽。☺️🥰份量話多唔多,話少唔少,都見到隔離一男一女都叫3個main course(應該飽死)🤣🤑招牌泰式和牛濃湯河🤑其他食評話this最好食,我覺得係幾好食但我鐘情炒河&炒飯多d😛🤪入面有牛丸,牛腩,牛片,d乾蔥,菜之類的。每樣都有4-5件,足料👍🏻 牛丸略嫌韌d😕,但湯底夠濃而且d面都入到味☺️,和牛片同牛腩都好唸又入味🤑招牌泰式蟹肉炒飯🤑超足料蟹肉🦀🦀,真係啖啖蟹肉!而且加埋啲乾蒜嘅味道,我最愛嘅蒜味啊🥰 而且蛋炒飯粒粒分明,我最愛係呢個😆偶爾加埋旁邊既微辣魚露,醒神!😆🤑泰式炒闊河粉🤑呢個味道有少少甜甜的,佢加埋啲蛋落去炒啲蛋入晒啲汁嘅味道,啲蛋好正🥰🥰加埋d雞扒肉,一d都唔韌,仲有

其他食評話this最好食,我覺得係幾好食
但我鐘情炒河&炒飯多d😛🤪
入面有牛丸,牛腩,牛片,d乾蔥,菜之類的。
每樣都有4-5件,足料👍🏻 牛丸略嫌韌d😕,但湯底夠濃而且d面都入到味☺️,和牛片同牛腩都好唸又入味

呢個味道有少少甜甜的,佢加埋啲蛋落去炒啲蛋入晒啲汁嘅味道,啲蛋好正🥰🥰
加埋d雞扒肉,一d都唔韌,仲有啲菜心苗,河粉好煙韌唔會一pat咁,正👍🏻

呢間餐廳上菜速度快,安排都ok,因為出面好多人排隊,即使走嘅時候大約三點過d,都仲有人排隊

staff都算friendly。添水等等都快,唔會燥底。
總括而言,都會推薦大家嚟呢間餐廳食。

食物濃味,不過泰國菜都係咁上下,清淡嘅泰國菜會變得怪怪的🤨

This is our second visit after a long while intimidated by the long queue always. We waited for its opening noon time and found it immediately filled up the capacity of 30 patrons. We ordered lunch sets with a salad. My dish of wangu beef with rice is so rich in taste and the portion is generous. She had Pat Thai with 4 prawns which are quite firm in texture. The salad dish came after we asked for it and turned out to be a bit salty. Overall it was good lunch.

我話呢間係全香港最好最泰國菜,我估無人會反對掛?因為所有野好好味,仲成日排隊!Wagyu beef soup noodle 和牛真係重點,好腍好好味,湯夠濃Pai Thai noodles with tiger pawn我對Pai Thai無特別,不佢個sauce 甜甜地少少少辣都開胃,加上有tiger pawn又好似高級左Deep fried 豬頸肉好好好好好味,好香口,調味都夠惹味,再加上蒜粒,100分☺️最後仲有我最愛,Thai Tea💗如果下次再去我仲想試斑蘭湯圓啦、椰子雪糕啦、芒果糯米飯、炸魚皮💗 .

一直都想試因為真係好有名氣 以為疫情會少啲人結果12點02分到都要排成30-45分鐘... 不過唔緊要啦 最緊要食物好 4個人叫咗兩個炒飯同兩碗佢地既招牌船粉,一人一杯野飲加兩個甜品. 1. 泰式和牛河粉 (8/10, $128) - 呢個係枱枱都有嗌, 湯一定要飲哂 牛肉料有一片片和牛, 牛丸等 建議叫多碟炸豬皮($28) 因為佢隨粉附送嘅會唔夠喉同會淋哂 2. 和牛炒飯 (7/10, $128) - 好食炒飯水平 3. 泰式蟹肉炒飯 (7/10, $148) - 一好好食既炒飯水平, 好多蟹肉 味道唔錯 4. 西瓜冰特飲 (9/10, $52) - 呢個好飲, 夏天一流 5. 芒果冰特飲 (6/10, $58) - 好足料, 但冇乜特別 6. 荔枝梳打特飲 (6/10, $46) - 冇乜特別 7. 椰子雪糕 (7/10, $68) - 自家製嘅,幾好食 8. 椰子湯圓 (7/10, $68) - 一嚟就有啲depressing...一碗仔得5粒寧波湯圓size@@ 食落就知好好食 一定會再去, 去到食懕船粉就去佢西環嘅姊妹店! 食物: 8/10 服務: 7/10 環境/
