之前聽朋友講LA VACHE 既牛扒好正, 所以上個星期同男朋友過黎 =)呢間餐廳暗暗地都幾浪漫, 岩哂D 情侶黎 OVERALL 我地都覺得唔錯, 上菜速度都幾快, 另外價錢都吾會太貴我地最鐘意既就係D 牛扒, 夠肉汁另外又有個爐幫塊扒保溫, 岩哂我呢D 食得咁慢既人

OVERALL 我地都覺得唔錯, 上菜速度都幾快, 另外價錢都吾會太貴

我地最鐘意既就係D 牛扒, 夠肉汁另外又有個爐幫塊扒保溫, 岩哂我呢D 食得咁慢既人

There is only one fix menu which includes a starter (walnut french salad) and the steak with frites (unlimited fries refill) Salad: quite refreshing with some sort of tarte dressing. veggies are fresh and are covered with dressing. I like it since the dressing is not too much Steak: quite tender and quite a generous portion given the price (around 300hkd after service charge). Served with mustard sauce . Frites: I found it quite salty last time so I ordered for a no-salt one.
fries are crispy and not soggy

Staff are quite attentive
Overall, I would come again for steak if I want something reasonably priced and decent quality steak

The restauarant is so packed and therefore I could understand the staff are so busy and tired. However, it is always better to wear a smile instead of some impatient faces to some first-time comers, who don't know much about the restauant's fixed menu. 

I feel even disappointed when a staff rushed out of the restaurant after I just stepped out, asking abruptly "Sorry Sir, have you paid your bill yet?" I truly understand the staff are so busy during weekend night and it is just a minor issue for verfication. However, is that more appropriate or professional to double check with other colleagues first or start with a more polite opening sentence in a dialogue with your kind customers? In my eyes, all small details matter if it comes to the sustaiable sucess of a restaurant. The enviroment is decorated in a nice way but the experience really ruined our Saturday night. The comments above really describe my true feelings and expericene and it is hoped that they will be regarded as some kind advice. Hopefully one day in my life I will recommend the restaurant to my family and friends once again.

Steak-frites is a very common and popular dish served in brasseries throughout Europe, most notably in Belgium and France, where both lay claim as its birthplace. Simply translated, it is a combination of steak and fries and in reality, many countries could probably lay claim to the dish. Typically using entrecôte, French for the premium cut or rib eye, the fatty steak is usually cooked medium rare and served with golden fries and topped with a béarnaise sauce.

It's somewhat surprising to learn that Hong Kong has adopted the steak-frites revolution, with a serious number of players in the space. In fact, SoHo in the Midlevels has more steak-frites restaurant than you can count, with Peel Street housing three within sight of each other! I'd been eyeing off many of these brasseries and decided it was high time to check on out!

With so many to choose from, I simply picked one that had the coolest name and best looking web site. Conveniently located in Peel Street, stepping into La Vache was like being transported to Paris, the staff and the fit-out screamed chic Parisian charm. We didn't have a reservation, but were informed that there was a table available, as long as we were out by 8pm - not a problem we assured our maitre 'd.

Funky murals depicting Parisian daily life adorned the walls, comfy looking booths decked out in traditional red and walls lined with empty wine bottles added to the illusion that we'd left HK behind. Even funkier placemats in the styling of the restaurant sat on the table, listing out the very simple menu. You see, the charm of a steak-frites restaurant is that here is only one item on the menu - no prizes for guessing.

Our waitress came across with a crusty baguette and a simple question, how would we like our steaks cooked? My request was for medium rare while the girl went for medium. Out came a red maker and our preferences were written on the table!

Before our steak and fries came out, the simple and traditional green salad with walnuts and sliced radish for colour was delivered, I guess as a pretence that the meal would at least have one healthy element. With a simple dressing, the salad was OK, I mean, how wrong can you go with something so simple? The addition of walnuts added some sweetness and crunch to the salad.

It wasn't long before our salad plates were cleared and a table stand with a candle was placed between us and a silver tray with our steaks delivered. The steak was already sliced into strips and our waitress placed a couple of pieces on each of our plates before piling on a stack of freshly cooked french fries.

The eye fillet was in credibly tender, I mean unbelievably tender! I found my medium rare to be just a little bloody given the fat content of the meat, and while full of flavour, I think medium would have been better. SC's medium had the fat rendered just a little bit more, which gave deepened the flavour with a slight caramelisation - and boy was it superb! There was a 'secret recipe' béarnaise sauce that came with the steaks, which helped make them even yummier! The béarnaise was excellent too, slightly sweet and not too acidic.

The fries were very traditional, golden in colour and very crunchy. They weren't the best fries I've had but they were very good and very more(ish), which was just as well that they were all-you-can-eat! We had several top-ups during our dinner but eventually reached a point where we'd had enough (I know, who'd have thunk it!)

We didn't stick around for dessert, we'd already consumed way more than we'd intended and were feeling sated and happy.

Service was excellent on our visit, with a regular check on how we were and any time the pile of fries looked like getting low, a waitress was there to offer more. What was best about the La Vache meal was the price! In a city where a steak often sets you back HK $500+ or more, paying HK $278 seemed like a bargain, especially considering the salad and all you can eat fries!

We loved our visit to La Vache and now plan to check out a few more of the steak-frites places in town, but one thing we agreed, it would be hard going to get a better deal. We've now added La Vache to our small list of places for a quick bite on our way home from work.

As for that pesky question, France or Belgium? Well, the table next to us on the night was filled with some Frenchies looking quite at home - so let's run with that!

黎親九成都係坐 bar 枱,雖然唔係舒服不過唔洗等就無所謂啦雖然講到坐 bar 枱好似有d不滿,但其實約女仔黎食都幾唔錯:1. 唔洗諗叫咩,你諗幾成熟就 ok2. 黎親九成都係坐 bar 枱,雖然唔係舒服不過唔洗等就無所謂啦

雖然講到坐 bar 枱好似有d不滿,但其實約女仔黎食都幾唔錯:
1. 唔洗諗叫咩,你諗幾成熟就 ok
2. Budget 限死左,食唔飽? 薯條無限食!

Visited La Vache on Thurs for lunch, after reading rave reviews.I'm not a fan of fried stuff and the salad is just a sidekick, so I'll skip right to the main act - the steak.Starting with the pluses: (1) i asked for medium, and came out as requested (2) nicely charred with great smoky flavour (3) well, at least they gave a ribeye......Unfortunately: (1) i like my steak marbled and this had zero marbleness, which is disappointing for a fine joint (2) although the steak was well done, and the cut

Visited La Vache on Thurs for lunch, after reading rave reviews.

I'm not a fan of fried stuff and the salad is just a sidekick, so I'll skip right to the main act - the steak.

Starting with the pluses: (1) i asked for medium, and came out as requested (2) nicely charred with great smoky flavour (3) well, at least they gave a ribeye......

Unfortunately: (1) i like my steak marbled and this had zero marbleness, which is disappointing for a fine joint (2) although the steak was well done, and the cut was fine, the inferior breed resulted in a pretty tough steak.

The sauce was much too sweet for my liking as well, but i wouldn't be a fair judge of that 'cause i do not have a sweet tooth.

From a value for money perspective: perhaps wagyu and good grade angus are too expensive in HK? but in Singapore I could get a fine piece of wagyu for about the same price.

Would i be back? No.

第一次來La Vache! 因為5人以下不能訂位,所以起初有點擔心需要等好耐。好彩不用等就有位,但限時1.5小時要交枱,有D失望。侍應主動前來詢問牛扒嘅生熟度,這兒沒有菜牌,只有一種牛扒餐提供:法包配牛油、沙津、牛扒,還可另叫酒類和甜品。配法包的牛油幾香,又夠滑。沙津配以紅酒醋,很清新,份量很多。牛扒 - 我們都點了Medium,肉味濃,但肉質較硬,沒有想象般的吸引。薯條是任添的,侍應看見食客碟上的薯條差不多吃完前會主動加添。這兒幾特別,可惜牛肉肉質太硬,沒什麼脂肪。餐廳環境太嘈吵,很難傾計,所以我們一吃完就結賬了,不想久留。

這兒幾特別,可惜牛肉肉質太硬,沒什麼脂肪。餐廳環境太嘈吵,很難傾計,所以我們一吃完就結賬了,不想久留。

好朋友生日 話想要食牛扒所以特登去左la vache呢度就只有一個menu包包 沙律 牛扒 甜品 就係咁多麵包鬆軟 夠香 肥妹太鐘意香嘅軟麵包差啲食唔停口沙律入面有核桃 同小紅蘿蔔 再配個油醋汁幾清新 但我唔喜歡核桃 有種濕既感覺牛扒 係用鐵盤 用蠟燭暖住咁過黎我叫medium rare 朋友叫 medium由於一路有暖住嘅關係 牛扒會慢慢咁變熟好彩我叫左medium rare 食到最後都無好“鞋”嘅感覺而我兩位朋友就覺得件牛到最後老左少少而牛扒 係會配有任食唔嬲嘅frieswaitress 時不時見你嘅薯條就食晒就會黎問你要唔要多啲 食到好飽嫁到最後 仲會有dessert cart 過黎俾你慢慢揀想食咩甜品 其實成晚最令我期待嘅就係甜品我地叫左éclair peach pie 同唔記得咩蛋糕每一件都好俾心機做decoration而且都好好味仲因為我朋友生日 有happy birthday 喺碟仲有人同佢唱生日歌 令佢好開心

差不多七點,飯腳在吧台飲緊凍飲降火,我們順利入座,第一輪客,差不多滿啦!

呢度係牛排專門店,淨系揀生熟程度就得啦!飯腳要M,我要MR。這類店不是fine dining,又不是茶餐廳,不過上菜一定快,因為淨系得四樣嘢,麵包、沙拉、牛排、薯條,有三樣是統一標準,客人吃得快,快點吃完,埋單,就可以多做一轉生意,環境不是讓你慢活吹水聊天的地方。

麵包幾好食,我幾乎想問可否“安哥”,不過當然沒有。跟住上沙拉,正常品質,如果D菜凍D,會更fresh,現在是室溫,我覺得差咗少少!

食完沙拉,侍應適時上牛排,介紹邊D系M,邊D系MR,跟住再上薯條,薯條是無限量添食的,不過他們給我的我都吃不完,我的目的是牛排和甜品,當然無理由猛食薯條咁傻!

牛排,肉質不錯,生熟程度符合客人要求,肉質柔軟、juicy,味道濃郁,專門店應有的表現!我平時在大埔出沒,鄉下地方,魚蛋粉、雲吞麵、牛腩麵各有自己的專門店,各店做自己的專科,賣完收攤,敬業樂業,顧客滿意!

牛肉好吃,不過不是完全無筋,我吃著吃著,左面和右面的大牙牙縫都“攝”咗一D細屑。這感受一點都不好!

吃完牛排,那輛幾層高的木櫃被推過來了,靚女在介紹各種甜品,不過她要跟背景音樂和食客的談笑聲鬥大聲!燈光又幽暗,要看清楚是什麼,都有D難度ga。

朋友吃了太多薯條,無位食甜品wo,我當然唔放過,雖然聽得好辛苦,睇又唔系好清楚,不過我都揀到芒果撻。等咗好耐,件甜品才送來,因為要裝盤嘛,加了一些藍莓和紅莓,當然仲有好大pat cream !甜品味道大半OK,唔OK的部分是餅底,好硬,用勺子切開有難度,我只好放棄。

餐廳連吧台都坐滿了客人了,越來越嘈,我地當然唔多舒服,食完就埋單返屋企啦!牛排每位加一後是$30X ,甜品一件差不多$100,相對而言,幾貴ga!

牙縫的碎屑,用牙籤不能清理門戶,只好趕快回家刷牙,搞咗好耐,終於把碎屑弄出來了,全部都是牛肉的筋。呢個感覺強烈過牛排好吃的快感。

會不會再去食牛排?多數唔會啦!試過就算了,服務又不是十分體貼,食物雖然有水準,不過不算超級驚喜!

幾乎是我在香港最常去的牛排館,水準基本保持一致,性價比極高,248一份牛排餐,不計加一。只有一種餐單,法包,沙拉,牛扒,以及無限量供應的薯條,不會因為大眾價格就降低食物水準。法式牛扒,不過用料是美國A級牛眼扒,一塊塊已經切好,配上調好的sauce,完全標準的烤扒成數,推薦medium,如果平時嗜血的話medium-rare也不錯。非常juicy,tender。加上他家的house red,完全沒有任何點可以讓你抱怨這餐飯。環境也很好,雖然是地下一層,可完全沒有壓逼感,是朋友聚餐的好地方。因為在中環區火爆的知名度,每桌用餐設一個半小時的限制,如果五人以下不設訂位。所以平日夜晚六點去,運氣好的話不用等位,不然一般等位時間在一至一個半小時。嘗試過所有他家的甜品,最愛的是榛子奶油泡芙,無可挑剔的甜度和creamy,份量剛剛好,讓你感覺這就是完美的一餐!

La vache! 餐廳都幾FULL下,各位最好就要BOOK定枱喇!唔BOOK既或者六點零鐘就到餐廳攞位啦餐廳佈置似法國既小型扒房,燈飾陰暗,岩哂拍拖去浪漫一下。La vache 獨沽一味,淨係買牛扒冇乜其他野 侍應先問客人想要牛排要幾成熟,再上埋沙律沙律菜好FRESH加埋walnuts 非常爽脆,Dijon mustard醬汁唔會太多,岩岩好另外再上既牛油與法國麵包baguette就 中規中矩侍應收沙律咗碟,之後會放在一個鐵架上,鐵架下面點左兩個蠟燭,再放我哋之前所提嘅牛扒上去保溫牛扒係用咗美國嘅rib eye,脂肪重但係比較juicy,味道都比較濃, 同埋肉質都好嫩 跟住牛扒碟上嘅係béarnaise sauce, 依個醬比較濃所以我淨係點咗小小Dijon mustard。 食食吓期間呢侍應呢就會為你添加炸薯條話明係french fries la vache,佢 嘅炸薯條都係幼嘅 用咗牛肉嘅脂肪去煮好香脆。佢上既時候已經切左比你架喇因為食得多炸薯條飽曬所以冇食到甜品,侍應係會將甜品架推到你張枱,然後你慢慢睇再選擇,不過真係太飽喇,真係食唔落,就算吧。

牛扒係用咗美國嘅rib eye,脂肪重但係比較juicy,味道都比較濃, 同埋肉質都好嫩
跟住牛扒碟上嘅係béarnaise sauce, 依個醬比較濃所以我淨係點咗小小Dijon mustard。

因為食得多炸薯條飽曬所以冇食到甜品侍應係會將甜品架推到你張枱,然後你慢慢睇再選擇,不過真係太飽喇,真係食唔落,就算吧。

上次介紹過呢度,今次又再去多次,食返上次無食嘅甜品。Salad and main dish 都係standard 嘅,所有人食嘅都一樣,今次唔再介紹喇。甜品是推車過來的,原來都唔算好多選擇,大約有五至六款。選了蘋果批,酒味頗濃,唔算甜,蘋果好腍身。不過無乜驚喜,是個酒的苦味比其他味都突出的甜品。蘋果批份量正常,與普通一件cake 份量差不多,不過索價八九十元 (忘了the exact price) , 性價比不高,比起成個正餐先兩舊幾,相對唔係好抵。

蘋果批份量正常,與普通一件cake 份量差不多,不過索價八九十元 (忘了the exact price) , 性價比不高,比起成個正餐先兩舊幾,相對唔係好抵。

我地黎呢度食既其中一個原因就係為左佢個拿破倫,果然無令我地失望,酥皮好香好鬆啊,啲cream超正鮮忌簾!其實我見到其他甜品都好靚好想試,但真係飽到食唔落...唯有下次再黎試!!

週末加班當然要好好犒勞一下自己。終於有時間來這家一年前同事就強烈推薦的餐廳。因為不想排隊而且lunch set會多送一客甜品,貪心鬼作祟就頂著烈日來到中環。從皇后大道沿著peel street一直上坡,幾乎快要走到盡頭,到店門口已是滿身大汗。看到店門口可愛的牛兒又開心起來。1點到達時還有很多空位,吃完離開的時候卻已經滿座。還有一桌人慶生,餐廳也貼心地為他們準備蛋糕、播放生日歌。雖然是吃法國菜,但餐廳裝潢是偏簡單舒適的美式風格,紅白方格桌布鋪上頗有本店風格的簡筆劃墊紙,牆面也是同樣style,簡約又可愛。餐廳任性地只供應一種主菜——美國Prime級肉眼牛排。入座後只需要告訴服務員你需要的成熟度即可。由生至熟: rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, well.朋友要了medium,自己是medium well。套餐搭配核桃生菜沙律、牛油配法國餐包以及可無限量添加的薯條。$278/人。午餐不僅不需要排隊而且會多一客甜品附送呢。沙律還算新鮮不過本人不愛核桃,餐包鬆軟牛油香濃但是為了接下來的主角牛排可不能吃太多。薯條必須要給十個贊!看起來以為是和M記一樣

薯條必須要給十個贊!看起來以為是和M記一樣的薯條,原來加入了cheese一起炸,還可沾上黃芥末醬,不知不覺吃掉一大盤,服務員會很主動幫你添加哦。

主角牛排用鐵盤盛裝,鐵盤下會點一根蠟燭維持牛排溫度,服務員會貼心地為你切好牛排,我的medium well表面有微微的焦香,中間還是非常鮮嫩和juicy,正是我想要的效果。

這樣的價格在hk能吃到這種檔次的牛排算是超高性價比了,當然如果你選擇晚餐時段去就要做好充分準備排長龍了。繁忙時段Bar檯都會坐滿客人。叫上朋友,一起去大口吃肉吧!
