Went there for breakfast one rainy morning. The decor looked upscale and the interior was clean and roomy for a cha chan teng. They offer various A,B,C options for breakfast, and I decided to go for my favorite traditional choice - instant noodle! You get to pick two things to go with your noodle for $25, along with egg, toast, and milk tea. I also paid extra to upgrade my noodle to nissin (出前一丁). When the drink came first, everything started to go downhill from there. My hot milk tea was sour! Which meant the balance between the tea and the milk was off and the tea they used was also bad. It's probably the worst cup of milk tea I've had in HK, even worse than cafe de coral. I could've forgiven them if the food was good and it didn't seem hard because how badly can you screw up instant noodle? I was wrong apparently. When my instant noodle came, it looked good on the surface. Unfortunately I took a bite and I tasted....nothing. The noodle had no taste! Now I had ordered spicy pork and ham so the soup had taste, but the noodle did not. I think they blanched the noodle in plain hot water and put it in afterwards in the soup, but that resulted in absolutely no taste in the noodle. Sadly again I think that was the worse instant noodle I've ever had. In my opinion, if a cha chan teng can't even get its basics right, then there's no need to try their other food and that's my conclusion for this restaurant.
