New Sushi Tachi in Causeway Bay but imo Sushi Sooshi in TST is way better. Firstly here they serve all your sushis on a plate instead of one by one, the way proper sushi should be served (especially when you're standing right in front of the counter). Overall quality was just so-so, like editable and some were actually quite nice (eg. the scallop and the botan ebi) while a couple were downright disappointing. In particular, the kinki was rubbery and tasteless with no hint of fish oil. The ankimo was rich with umami and not fishy at all but texture was not smooth/creamy enough, and the otoro was fatty (and no tendon) yet somehow lacking in flavour. The mini uni don was alright but could do with less rice (or, even better, more uni) imo. Also the bill turned out to be $540 HKD for 8 pieces of sushi + mini uni don + soup, whereas I would pay at most like $350 for this quality and this service (yes they charge 10%). Granted I ordered everything a la carte and the lunch sets/combos are considerably more economical. I guess this place is not a bad option if you just need a quick sushi fix, but if you want quality you would be better off going to a proper sushiya for similar price.
