这次来刚终于吃到了种草已久的甘牌烧鹅了,人真的特别特别多,排队两小时,吃饭五分钟,真的体会到了。老实说,感觉没有传说中的那么好吃,有点失望。点了一份烧鹅拼叉烧饭,烧鹅皮没有刚烧出来的酥,吃起来不咋地,连肉一起吃还是觉得太油腻。叉烧一般吧,没有什么特色。对于普通阶层的人来说,这一顿小贵,个人觉得不是特别值。

燒鵝一睇就知皮肯定唔會脆,食落冇香味,好林既皮,肉質雖然係胸位但太鞋太實偏硬,冇乜味道,唔知佢係點醃既。

叉燒紅得黎偏橙色,冇焦邊,最緊要我要肥叉,佢比左比瘦叉更瘦既叉燒我,一食落口,柴既實既,好微微甜味,冇乜鹹味。

個飯叫左最正常,但係而一刻我已經想放棄。

唔好話一星,就算隔離間再興既燒鵝我相信唔會比佢差。

冇左甘健成管理住既鏞記味道已經每況月下,而間分出來既我冇唸過會差成咁。

等了差不了60分鐘,終於能進。其間服務員的服務態度非常差,一副等不了就走別吃的臉。店鋪位置太小,坐得很不舒適,感覺跟大排檔沒分別,兩個人兩個飯和飲品根本放不下期間周圍追單漏單不斷,食物中規中矩沒什麼大驚喜,這環境不太值米芝連。

中午queue up的人真的好多呀!等了要有25+mins 原本以为米其林餐厅应该特别好吃,但是感觉一般。有些油腻。前餐的豆腐是我觉得最赞的一道菜!甜甜的味道很喜欢!尤其喜欢吃皮!正餐没有点叉烧!真的很肥!点了烧鹅!也有点肥,不过味道还好。如果菜多一些会更好。汁儿我超级喜欢,甜甜的。汤推荐,很香很养生!总体一般,不想去第二次了。

正餐没有点叉烧!真的很肥!点了烧鹅!也有点肥,不过味道还好。如果菜多一些会更好。汁儿我超级喜欢,甜甜的。

燒鵝脾瀨。忘了叫鵝脾免切是自己失策了!不過這隻燒鵝脾太肥了,其中有件燒鵝只有肥膏沒有肉。鵝肉味是很濃沒錯,不過肥瘦均勻一點也很重要,加上鏞記的燒鵝皮一向都不是走香脆路線,吃著時心裡和別家的比起來就更有落差。此外湯不夠熱也是一大敗筆,雖然上檯時看到煙,可是只能說比暖湯好一點,自己也吃過快餐店的燒鵝湯瀨,它們的湯也比這裡的熱啊。

因為有期望而來,所以吃到這樣的燒鵝脾瀨,心中難免失望。如果想要吃燒鵝脾瀨的話,應該不會再來,不過在店中一直聞到滷水香,心想滷物可能有點作為,下次或者買個滷物外賣,看看會不會挽回一點信心吧~

When we arrived around 1pm, there were a lot of people waiting. After asking around, we found out that there was no actual 'queue' (as in line up). We just need to inform the waiter number of people in our group and she will assigned us a number. It's funny that the number 9 was written in mirror image and we have a hard time figuring whether was it a 7 or 9. Waiting time was like 100 minutes as there were a lot of people waiting. There were 60 numbers ahead of us.  It was Christmas anyway. We p

There were no place to sit, so we stand while waiting.  

Tips : You could have tea at famous Capital Cafe which is located nearby while waiting.  Alternatively you could consider takeaway. 

The place was not very big, which has around 10-15 tables. We ordered one half roast goose, roast pork, BBQ pork and century egg (preserved duck egg) served with ginger. Kam's roast goose is definitely the best around.  What set its roast goose apart from the others was its overall combination.  No, the skin wasn't crispy type. In fact, they were served in yellow color  secret sauce, which has a tinge of ground nut flavour. We couldn't imagine how well the blend was until we had our first bite. Then, there was no turning back. I've tasted the best roast goose
 Plum sauce for dipping which is common in other eateries was provided but I felt that there wasn't such a need to dip as the goose itself was already so good.  

** I would suggest if you are small eater, you can order the lower side quarter, 180 HKD. Upper side quarter is around 130 HKD. The drumstick is the prized meat, hence the lower side are more expensive. 

Another great dishes that was unexpectedly good was it BBQ pork.  Simply divine. The meat was tender and the skin has a well balanced crusty bark. 
Next come the roast pork which was a complete disappointment. The skin wasn't crispy  (in fact soggy) and the meat was too salty.  Suggest to give it a miss. The century egg was just okay, didn't taste any different from other restaurants.

周末午后光顾,门口人潮涌动,队伍很长,看上去不排上一小时无法堂食。询问得知打包只需五分钟,故简单点了烧鹅和叉烧带走。趁热吃的话,真的都好好吃!名不虚传,烧鹅带皮酥脆相间,叉烧则肥瘦相宜。更没想到的是,冷了味道竟也不错。值得推荐。

Having gone through the menu, there are two things that I would like to try, the "Fatty cha siu $150" and the Kam's signature "Roast goose $270 (half)". This Cha siu dish consist of two different "types" - the "half-lean half-fat" and the "lean" type. The lean type, although was good in flavour, was actually too chewy to enjoy. The other half was actually meeting the standard with a more tender texture. The BBQ taste wasn't intense, so as the honey layer. It would have been a good standard BBQ pork if there was no "lean type" unless you like pure protein.

Roast goose is one of the must try dishes if you come to this restaurant. Inherited from the famous yung kee brand, this 3rd sucessor does added its own characteristics to the goose. 
The goose does have a crisp skin with a layer of fat. The crispiness is definitely diminished after their signature sauce, and therefore, really recommend to eat in rather than take away. Strong goose taste on palete with a semi tender texture. The texture of the crisp skin, fat and meat together is quite balanced. I really like goose with some fat between the meat and skin since this add some journey to your palate. If you wish to have pure protein goose, this might not be your first priority.
You might also notice there is slash of sauce on top of the goose, which is significantly different from other roast goose you try elsewhere. This plum tasted sauce which is mildly acidic, with a hint of sweetness and nutty taste, does reduce the oily feeling for each bite of your goose and this is the main different among other roast goose.
The complimentary dip is also nicely done. 
The whole experience would have been better if the "fatty cha siu" was not sold out. Really recommended to eat it to enjoy the original taste from Kam's Roast Goose.

經常撘車經過, 已見人頭湧湧, 好多人排, 看見它是米芝蓮一星, 已决心搵日試試, 今日見早早地又冇乜人排, 终於食到你, 的確好味, 而且價錢尚可接受, 鵝肝: 粉嫩粉嫩 , 亦夠入味, 不會乾硬。 乳豬亦OK . , 主打燒鵝, : 油香足, 惹味, 最特別是它的淋汁, 不似一般用老抽加鸭架的, 呈淺淺的啡色, 有鵝的香味, 相信用鵝架淨提練的, 這一粒星....不錯。

等咗十五分鍾左右,埋檯點咗例牌下莊燒鵝,皮薄唔脆,無口感,顔色淡,肉質普通,同样米一星餐厅,無一樂嘅燒得好。名過其實囖。蜜汁叉燒同附近的再興完全無得揮!真系浪得虛名。

等咗十五分鍾左右,埋檯點咗例牌下莊燒鵝,皮薄唔脆,無口感,顔色淡,肉質普通,同样米一星餐厅,無一樂嘅燒得好。名過其實囖。蜜汁叉燒同附近的再興完全無得揮!真系浪得虛名。
