Learnt about this restaurant through a friend and decided to visit with a group of 10 for dinner on a Friday night. At the end wasn't disappointed at all with our decision. Our first impression was the elegant and relaxed ambience that greeted us. The place was nicely lit up and the matching decor complimented it. With 30 minutes to kill before everyone arrived, few of us decided to check out the impressive bar in the centre of the room. The drinks list was eye-catching and so were the line of bottles. I quickly ordered Manhattan and the bar-tender, Paulo went about mixing it with care and passion. The end-product was fantastic and ensured a good start to the evening. We added a few more cocktails like Smoked Julep and Moscow Mule (suggested by Paulo) but the best drink according to me was House Infused Lemon & Thyme which was smooth and soothing for a thirsty throat. I highly recommend their house infused drinks – they have an entire section in their drinks menu.
For appetizers, we ordered soft bone chicken - soft chicken cartilages which gives a juicy flavour. Comes with a nice sauce at the side and goes well with the cocktails. Extremely hungry we dived into the main course straight away once the entire entourage had arrived. I ordered the slow cooked Tenderloin Steak which was very beautifully presented (see the picture). The texture and softness was just about right and you could cut through the meat without effort and it exposes the redness of the cooked meat inside. The manager did make it clear that they didn’t provide any sauce and after the first cut of the meat, I did agree with him. Few others ordered the spaghetti and the risotto which were delicious as well. But the best dish of the entire evening was the slow cooked lamb rack. Amazingly presented and the meat having the right texture, it was a complete delight both to the eyes and the tongue.
With a cheerful staff and wonderful service, it was a fantastic evening spent at a wonderful new restaurant. Thumbs up!!!
