Fabulous brunch at #Sky726 yesterday.
The salad was crisp and fresh. Wonderful vinaigrette which let the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. Excellent quality produce.
The Pumpkin Soup was sublimely delicious, creamy and so perfectly seasoned, bringing through the natural sweetness of the pumpkin.
The Wagyu Beef burgers were fantastic – the condiments (lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle) served separately. Alongside were crispy French Fries – yet again beautifully seasoned with garlic and herbs.
The pan seared Halibut in lemon butter sauce was beautifully done – cooked perfectly, it had the fish flaking off while the skin was crispy. The Halibut was served with crispy fresh green haricot beans, pan seared cherry tomatoes and potato wedges.
The English Breakfast was a proper traditional one with golden yellow scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed tomatoes, bacon and veal sausages. Baked beans and toast served alongside.
The Blueberry cheesecake scored big yet again – light and just the right amount of sweetness to let the tartness of the blueberry compote shine through. The cheesecake was not dense like a New York cheesecake and rightly so because the lightness of the Blueberry cheesecake that was served, complemented the brunch. Not too heavy but creamy and decadent enough to leave you completely satisfied. A perfect way to round off the brunch.
Coffee – lovely, strong coffee yet not acidic. Helped end a wonderful brunch on a ‘high’ note.
Lovely relaxed ambiance, attentive service and most importantly #Sky726 scores big on attention to detail. When our coffee was served, it came with a small pot of milk, as is usually the case. Only difference – the milk was steamed milk and it was hot too. For people like me who like their coffee steaming hot, this little attention to detail really hit the mark.
A big shout out to the hostess Sumi (hope I spelt her name right) – smiling, polite, pleasant, nice, attentive without ever being intrusive.
Thank you, #Sky726.
Would definitely recommend !
