早陣子於工作時間經朋友通知 , 赤柱有餐廳做團購 , $498 有蠔有酒有牛扒有龍蝦 , 真是超抵 , 而且工作太忙 , 沒有考慮的情況便立即買下但是......放工時間看見這間餐廳的食評......真是......有點.......既然買了 , 就冒險試試 , 另外精心策劃一下一些驚喜 HAHA== 10月20 ==放工後到赤柱 , 到處逛逛 , 很舒服的一個地方

题外话/补充资料: 食物味道希望可以再進一步 , 但其實以這個價錢 這個環境 這個服務 已很滿意 值得一提 : 餐廳內有一位年輕女侍應 對答得體 服務很好 很有禮貌 值得一讚 ! HKD $ 498 + 蠔 HK$ 120 (4隻) + 10 % SERVICE CHARGE

到赤柱海灘日光浴,然後到市集 shopping,再去嘆海鮮晚餐最啱

We have the dinner last night. The complaints:
1) The long list of food (ie oyster, crab cake, deep fried prawn, etc) are merely choices to be included in the set. You can choose one amongst the long list as starter;
2) there is NO Oyster. French fries, green salad (but NOT any other salads) or deep fried prawn or crab cake were offered as replacement. Other than the deep fried shrimp and crab cake, I could hardly see any of these as replacement of the same value (not to mention quality);
3) As a DINNER set (ie海鮮晚餐), there is NO soup, and not even coffee or tea. I know some top-end restaurants do not include such in their set as well - IF they make it clear prior to ordering at Groupon. In a HK context, most western restaurants will include such in a DINNER set!
4) the 2 choices of main course are barramudi or seafood pasta. The barramudi is far from fresh (and hence it tasted badly), The pasta is ok on its own - as there is limited "seafood", e.g. clams separated from shell(!).
5) The "desert", again, is such a nightmare! It is merely fried sugar (kind of) with a few fruit spreaded on it.

The "dinner" includes: a) starter: i) 1 piece of crab cake and 1 piece of deep fried prawn; or ii) french fries; or iii) green salad; b) main course: i) barramudi or ii) "seafood" pasta; iii) "desert" (if you could use such a description).

We end up half-full after the "dinner" (ie海鮮晚餐). As to the quality, the deep fried prawn is ok but NOT the remainders of the "dinner" set.

I'm not naive in expecting a superb dinner at this price ($299 for two + 10%). The fact, however, is that it is so poor both in quality and quantity to an extent that the whole dinning experience is WORSER than one in any of the fast food restaurants!

It's been few months since I went to Stanley as it's hard to find a parking space. As I saw the weather was not super sunny so I decided to give it a try last sat & luckily the parking lot was not full.Looking forward to a late lunch at Rocksalt as my last impression was quite good. Looking forward to a late lunch at Rocksalt as my last impression was quite good. The weather was still moderate last time but I guess it's too hot now so they have closed the windows & turned on the air-con.

I ordered the big breakfast & I craved for an egg benedict as well so my bf ordered one to share. The big breakfast looked good when it arrived. The turkish toast was great & the scrambled was creamy. When I got to the sausages, I almost spitted out because it's terribly dry & chewy.
i asked the staff to replace them cos I don't think I can swallow that. The staff was polite when he heard my request. After maybe 8-10 mins, he brought back 2 sausages. He waited for comments & I told him it's a bit better but probably the sausages are the "meaty" type & have been frozen for awhile. Guess they can consider using other sausages like bratwurst or so, common ones will do for a all-day breakfast dish.

I had a bite on my bf's egg benedict with salmon. it's delicious & the serving of the salmon is optimal. Sometimes you just found the salmon serving is too small. The muffin can be less soggy tho. This always happen to egg benedict cos the spinach & the sauce will be absorbed. The serving time is critical.

I had a side order of kangaroo & pancetta salad. I wasn't interested in the kangaroo at all but I luv goat cheese & spinach salad; however, the salad was too warm when it came. Cucumber cubes were not a good choice to go with a spinach salad as you can never manage to hold on to the small cubes & the spinach at the same time. The cheese was kinda "too" soft as the salad was too warm. Besides, if I didn't get it wrong by the name, I assumed there'd be pancetta but I didn't see any!

With such a nice location besides the sea, if the chef can enhance the quality, the place should be able to "rock"!

扁意粉都算 al dente, tomato sauce 亦醒胃夠味,seafood 有 shrimps, mussles, squid, 都唔錯。
Barramudi 做得外皮夠脆,雖然比起 Le Mieux Bistro 的 pomfret 還是差了一段,但亦算 OK.
Pizza 則比想象中好,portion 很大,是三人份量,勁夠芝士,才賣 $138,抵食!
本來 so far 都 not bad, 但最後來的 Pavlova 則大失所望了,蛋白 crust 焗得香脆,但淋上面相信是 Guava juice,酸、好酸,這個是甜品嘛,為啥這麼酸,我很怕酸,要扣分了

Overall, 是環境正 ,服務及食物只屬一般,但吃吃 pizza, 飲杯啤酒,也不算貴,會 為 hea hea 或 Groupon 而 encore,讓斜陽、明月、海風 補食物之不足

We saw the attractive Easter Dinner set. Also, many ppl were in the restaurant so we decided to try it.We ordered by a waiter. After 10min, another waitress turned up and said the waiter had left and asked us to order again. When we finished order, i went to washroon and saw the waiter having his rice box at the back. There's many waiter and waitress at the rest just that they ignored us. we waited and waited finally we can talk with the manager. We told him how bad is the pork and the pasta as well as the service. He waived our drink and apologized. We accepted his appology because he is very sincere and polite!

I had previously visited Rocksalt on a weekday when they first opened and the experience was very good, however on that occassion we were the only people in the restaurant.I returned to try out the all day breakfast menu with 4 friends, insisting that we dine there as it was so good. I returned to try out the all day breakfast menu with 4 friends, insisting that we dine there as it was so good. However, I can say that every aspect of this experience was bad. Most of the food on the plate was under-cooked, especially the sausages which were almost raw. The toast was not toasted at all and the mushrooms were slimey and again almost raw. We asked for the sausages to be sent back to the kitchen and cooked some more, after waiting 40 mins and asking numerous occassions the sausages were eventually brough back to the table exactly the same way as they had been sent back! Of course the rest of our food had already been eaten by this point too.

We ordered still water and got sparkling. The coffee was foul, even the second cup which was offered complimentary - undrinkable.

We ordered one pasta dish which was left on another dining table in the restaurant for quite a few minutes until they could figure out what to do with it and when it reached us of course it wasnt hot but was also the wrong dish!

The staff were 'very' unhelpful and had no idea what was going on.

I can see that this isnt the only bad review written about Rocksalt. It is such a shame as it looks like a very nice restaurant. I hope that management do something about this. Until then the Boathouse it is!

Beautiful sunny day!

After partying for days and nights during Christmas, I'd love to take it easy on the last public holiday, chill out in Stanley by myself and refreshing my mind for upcoming year-end review.

Weather report warns about the freezing cold weather and obviously it's too warm to wear a thick jacket. So warm...Many people are enjoying the sunshine there with happy smiling faces. After walking a while, come to this little white romantic restaurant, just opposite to The Boathouse, where I used to go. Today, I really love to try something new.

Luckily it's holiday and I have a relax mood, or it's a bit annoyed when there is no one serving the seat for standing at the entrance for more than 2 minutes, while there are 3 Filipino waiters chit chatting at the bar area even they saw me...very sure that they saw me and ignored.


The Italian Manager comes over and show his courtesy greeting, and aranges one of the best table for me, corner seat by the window. A 4-seats table for me, just one person, YEAH! This shall be the prestige of a single lady customer


The sunshine is so lovely and with this best view, I'd like to have Veuve Clicquot Champagne, Christmas drink ^_^

The manager highly recommends to try their home-made pie, which is order-to-make by the Australian Chef. There are 3 choices, and I have the Wagyu Beef with Mushroom pie, serving together with fries and salad. It's so delicious.


I saw other table was ordering the salmon and seafood platter, looked pretty good too.

The only thing to improve is the service. Honestly, I'd have left if the Italian Manager didn't see me and arrange the seat. Relying on the Filipino waiters, they would have lost a customer whom is willing to spend. they should train the junior waiters to avoid discrimination, only serve the Westerners and ignoring the rest, while they actually have no such status to do so.

Friendly staff with great wine suggestion. Great seaview with nice open area and breeze. Artisan bread and biscuit stick are the best, with cheese, butter spread and homemade dipping sauce. Cold Seafood mix - Lobster, oyster, calm are the best from this dish. Others are not-so-fresh. Honestly think it is expensive ($588) for simple cooking method and not live seafood.

House white wine from Australia - great match with seafood and fruity.

Pealla - just fine.

Definitely recommend!

What a shame about this place. From the outside, it reminded me of a cafe in Bondi, Sydney. But the food and the service were horrible. We wanted to walk around the markets and come back for lunch, so I went in to reserve a table. I spoke to the manager and got his card. When we went back, just 20 mins later, and I spoke to him again, he looked me up and down and said "Yes?". I said we had reserved a table and he had to look at the reservations book and took some time to find the booking and the

We had to ask 3 times for menus and had to get up to get our own water. There were plenty of wait staff, but no one bothered coming over to where we were sitting.

We ordered a dozen oysters, a fish and chips and a meatball fettuccine. The oysters were only ok, quite bland. I was told the fish and chips were nice, but my pasta was horrible. The meatballs were dry and tasteless, I left most of it on the plate. The waiter asked if everything was ok with my meal, I said no, it's not very good. They just went "Oh" and took it away, no offer of a replacement meal or a discount or even a free drink.

The bill came to $800 total, not exactly cheap and definitely not value for money. When we left, my bf asked if we're coming back and I said no. He then said, maybe if we're desperate and I said, not even if we're desperate.

What a bad experience!! I was really excited about going to Stanley for a meal and decided to try out rock salt as I have read about it in several magazines. BIG MISTAKE. I wish I had gone to Boathouse instead.Service was, as everybody else had already commented, bad. No one cared to ask if we wanted any drinks, no water, no bread basket, no nothing. What a bad experience!! I was really excited about going to Stanley for a meal and decided to try out rock salt as I have read about it in several magazines. BIG MISTAKE. I wish I had gone to Boathouse instead.
Service was, as everybody else had already commented, bad. No one cared to ask if we wanted any drinks, no water, no bread basket, no nothing. It was difficult to get their attention. My white wine was LUKEWARM when it arrived, the whole restaurant was hot and stuffy, there was hardly any air conditioning on.
Foodwise..we had beef carpaccio and king clams for starters, cold and seafood linguinie for mains. In general, the quality was ok but not wow.. It was so uninspiring that we decided to skip dessert altogether.
Oh and yes...where was the rock salt that was supposed to be the main feature of this restaurant?
I will never go back to this restaurant again.

Tuna Sashimi (我男友) - 可能個sauce唔啱佢胃口拉所以佢唔係咁鍾意,不過我覺得雖然怪怪地但係都幾特別。
Blue cheese salad (佢上司) - 佢話好好食,我見佢一條菜都冇留底,
生蠔3隻(我叫嘅) - 隻蠔仲細過我隻手指公囉,咁就$88 , 都唔緊要,不過真係好細隻呀!!!!!

主菜:-
Cod fillet $178 (我男友) - 一上菜隻碟凍冰冰,主菜只係暖暖地一啲都唔熱。

我本來叫咗個Chilli mud crab辣椒炒蟹 $328 ,但係佢話冇mud crab所以我叫咗個Rocksalt seafood bouillabaisse $258 (佢話呢個main dish嘅蟹就有) ,所以我同佢上司一人叫咗一個。佢地嘅setting 仲好pro添,有蟹鉗嗰個鉗同嗰個幼叉,點知... 一上菜我見倒唔係好對路我就即刻叫停然後問題就開始發生.... 個server 之前話有Rocksalt seafood bouillabaisse會有蟹點知一到係變咗蝦!!! 仲有一睇就知唔熱好似整咗好耐咁,個賣相好似一堆死咗好耐嘅海鮮放喺煲水度'拾'咗,個湯好似啲'拾'菜水咁。

我問個中國人隻蟹去咗邊,佢話今日冇蟹,但係點解個尼泊爾仔之前話有嘅? 我地仲有食蟹嘅餐具,佢答我唔倒跟住個鬼佬經理過嚟問我地咩事,我地一五一十咁話比佢知啲嘢食咁咁咁之後佢sorry都唔講,仲問我地想點,我地緊係唔要拉,叫佢扣起哂退咗嗰啲嘢跟住埋單,佢就攞哂啲嘢走,一啲禮貌都冇。我地埋單四佰幾蚊,一枝sparkling water,一杯凍檸茶,Tuna Sashimi $125,Blue cheese salad $98,仲有一碟超級無敵霹靂細生蠔三隻$88,仲要加一添。

佢地本來有枱$1500 嘅生意,點知而家只係得四佰幾蚊,我唔知佢地係唔係覺得啲錢臭唔要呢?

個menu其實好靚,但係服務態度好有問題,定係佢地覺得我地冇錢比呢?????

繼續補記白色情人節的節目,其實在展開船屋晚餐前,已留意到這間打正對面,位於Bayside Brasserie舊址,以岩鹽為主題的海鮮酒吧餐廳,並早已擬定好下場計劃! 而由於第一餐已經很飽,三人飯後先到美利樓逛了兩圈,再來到Rocksalt吃第二場。入夜後的餐廳份外充滿浪漫情調,是晚我們被安排就坐近窗的角位,海風送爽更是寫意無比!同時餐廳的水杯、餐具、檯墊等等,也全都新簇而別致,幾討好的。這裡的甜品選擇不算太多,好處是不用心大心細,一早與甜魔友人鎖定了兩款選擇: Lime custard tart($58)-顧名思義,即是帶有香甜吉士的青檸批,撻芯質感滑溜、撻皮則香鬆酥化,質感討好;清新檸味亦算可喜,然而相比一般的青檸批始終較甜,如酸度提昇應會更加美味。  Chocolate Plate($98)-價位較高,不過可以一次過享用三款不同的朱古力甜品,除開其實幾抵。順次序先講最前的chocolate framboise,是款質感近似brownie的甜品,特點是濃濃的朱古力味撞上清新紅莓醬,味道富對比性,十分討好;中間是white choc ice-cream with choc dirt,由

Chocolate Plate($98)-價位較高,不過可以一次過享用三款不同的朱古力甜品,除開其實幾抵。順次序先講最前的chocolate framboise,是款質感近似brownie的甜品,特點是濃濃的朱古力味撞上清新紅莓醬,味道富對比性,十分討好;中間是white choc ice-cream with choc dirt,由香甜的雪糕配上甘香的朱古力碎粒,滑中帶脆的口也很迷人,也是美味;最後的choc torte相比之下較為平凡,但其實充滿果仁粒的口感豐富,也是水準之作來的!
 
而因為落單時小小失誤,經理主動又送了三杯自選飲品,服務令人折服!我不客氣選了
Lychee Cooler(原$44),是款由新鮮荔枝製成的沙冰,口味香甜並帶碩大荔枝果粒,口味清爽沒有辜負cooler之名;甜食友的
Mango Rock Delight(原$42)則是由芒果、菠蘿及蘋果汁混合而成的沙冰,其中芒果香甜味最突出,也不差;但要講口味最豐富,一定是
Rocksalt Bay(原$52),以青檸汁及薑啤為底,加上薄荷葉及帶鹽味的雪糕,口味變化多端又具特色,成了不吃甜品的老公的最佳慰藉。而且在宜人海風下,原來不會醉的mocktails,竟有令人感覺輕飄飄之效,幾乎不想離開了!
 
然而不走不走還需走,由親者侍者拍照留念後,也是時間打道回府,準備迎接新一週忙碌的工作。唯有期待下一次郊區再聚又再醉!

星期六同朋友嚟左赤柱,呢間餐廳上次嚟都未開,見到仲有早餐食於是就入左去試下,坐近窗邊位置,望到出面大街好舒服,我們兩個人叫左一個big breakfast及一個乳酪生果早餐.等左唔係好耐就嚟啦.先嚟一籃麵飽-好味好香及新鮮big breakfast包括抄蛋,煙肉,磨菇粒,蕃茄粒,腸仔,多士兩片,一碗焗豆,好豐富呀,磨菇粒好好味,係鮮磨菇,腸仔都好香口好脆,多士都好味,炒蛋好香好滑,煙肉煎得好脆,好味.乳酪生果跟一件法飽-都好大份,好多西瓜,還有菠蘿,士多啤梨,好甜好味,乳酪及一些果仁,好味,件法飽好大件,好脆好味跟一些鹽嚟食三種味道,都幾特別呀,不過食唔出有咩大分別呀.餐飲是跟咖啡都好香好滑.我們坐左好耐,傾計好寫意及舒服.

先嚟一籃麵飽-好味好香及新鮮
big breakfast包括抄蛋,煙肉,磨菇粒,蕃茄粒,腸仔,多士兩片,一碗焗豆,好豐富呀,磨菇粒好好味,係鮮磨菇,腸仔都好香口好脆,多士都好味,炒蛋好香好滑,煙肉煎得好脆,好味.
乳酪生果跟一件法飽-都好大份,好多西瓜,還有菠蘿,士多啤梨,好甜好味,乳酪及一些果仁,好味,件法飽好大件,好脆好味
跟一些鹽嚟食三種味道,都幾特別呀,不過食唔出有咩大分別呀.
餐飲是跟咖啡都好香好滑.我們坐左好耐,傾計好寫意及舒服.

看報紙見有間新開張的餐廳在赤柱﹐剛好朋友心情亦麻麻﹐便帶了朋友來赤柱吹吹風﹐再吃一個晚餐。希望赤柱的環境﹐能為朋友帶來平靜的心情去思考往後浸樣去處理事情。晚上8時多入座﹐全間餐廳不計我們也只有一檯客人。平日的晚上。人當然也少一點。因為戒口中﹐很多很多東西也不能吃﹐加上朋友食量不大﹐所以不會叫Dinner set。望著Menu﹐考慮了很久才能點菜。先來了一籃麵包。Rassin包是最好的﹐頗為軟熟﹐但不熱。法包就差了一點點。如果麵包是熱的話﹐會比較好些。之後Rocksalt Salad和Salt and Pepper Squid with Tartar Sauce就到了。Rocksalt Salad用了點鹽﹐ Olive Oil和Vinegar調味。其實Salad用這些調調味﹐菜夠新鮮就好好了。這個Salad也算不錯﹐但煙三文魚可以更好。是夜的有點兒腥。至於鵪鶉蛋﹐讓了給朋友。看見是流心的﹐應該不錯。 Salt and pepper Squid with Tartar Sauce﹐ 炸漿不俗﹐但調味略鹹。加上有Avocado Tartar Sauce, 仍然是試不到開始便送上的鹽。之後朋友

Main Course 要了Farfalle Carbonera 和 Pepperoni Mushroom and Tomato Pizza. 朋友超喜愛Farfalle Carbonera 。這個Farfalle Carbonera用了Farfalle做Carbonera﹐忌廉汁則比平常烯了一點。但應能掛在Farfalle上。味道不俗。但是不知是否為了卓上的鹽﹐我覺得味道淡了一些﹐所以加了最幼身的海鹽。至於Pizza, 是長橢圓形的。新鮮熱辣﹐用了也不錯﹐餅底當然不是正宗的餅底﹐但也"聳"花。
埋單$640。對於2人晚餐﹐加上吃的也不算突出。雖然環境好﹐但在赤處大街比比皆是。下次﹐應該會選擇另一間了~
