This place is off my list for good. It was a hype when it first opened and food was ok, but my last visit the quality of food was sort of going south. Today we thought we would give it another try and opened and decanted a good bottle of young Burgundy hours in advance, only to received a call one hour before the meal telling me they screw up the reservation and there is no space for us. This is the most absurd and unprofessional encounter I have experienced in my 50 plus years of culinary exper

第一次到訪Jean May ,聽同行朋友講,這裏以前是預約困難店,大約需要等一個月才訂到位,但今次只是早過多禮拜就可以訂到周五晚市。餐廳餐牌沒有什麼選擇,所以叫了招牌菜Duck ā l’orange,也要了店員推介的chicken terrine、shimeji frites (炸菇)鴨肉比想像中靭、亦有種中式的味道🙊 炸菇沒太大特色,反而chicken terrine有驚喜,很喜歡雞肝的味道😚餐廳每人min charge $500,叫三道菜已經可以meet到,但整體不太划算🫡

After acquiring her cooking skills in France from the famous chef Pierre Koffmann, Tiffany returned to Hong Kong and invested in her own restaurant. I honestly enjoyed every dish here and will definitely come back. Hong Kong is not short of high-end restaurants, but not all of them can capture the true spirit of the food. Jean May is one of those exceptional places.

Very poor service despite ordering many course the staff kept rushing us for special event no cake was given. Despite 2 hour limit by 1.5 hour they kept rushing us to leave. Would not recommend having special occasions at this location. Food was so so but poor staff

朋友生日,來了一個ladies night 餐廳裝修10分有巴黎小餐廳的感覺,很cozy!!來之前看過這裏的頭盤很出色,所以立刻選了幾個頭盤牛肉他他-好吃,但是沒有太大驚喜因為其他地方的牛肉他他一般都很好吃🫢雞肝醬麵包- 這個很有驚喜,一吃下去就是很濃郁的味道麵包10分乾脆很好吃主菜點了牛扒,煎鴨胸-都是有水準之作 雖然價格有一點貴,但是食物質素還是中上順帶一提,因為餐廳很難book所以分了兩輪,上菜上得很快,如果要和朋友們慢慢詳談的話,就要選擇其他地方了‼️

For the main course, the beef fillet was executed well, with the meat cooked to a perfect medium-rare. However, if you're looking for something more adventurous or surprising, there are other dishes on the menu that may better fit that description.

Finally, the honey madeleine was a lovely dessert to end the meal. The madeleine was light and fluffy, and the honey added a delicate sweetness that was not too overpowering.

Overall, I highly recommend Jean May for a special night out with friends/ date. The food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming.

We made a reservation very early for 5 guests, 48 hours before my booking a staff whatsapped me and said they could only arrange us the counter. “If you want a table, we have one available at 8:30pm”. How is that acceptable? How could you just assume we could change our booking from 6:15pm to 8:30pm? Their reason was they got a table of 19 guests to serve in the first round - and yes, the table of 19 guests thought as if they owned the place and were super loud and noisy. The food was extremely

The food was extremely average - the beef fillet and the lamb tasted more or less the same (didn’t rmb to take a pic of the lamb…) The Duck L’ Orange was just soso. Many French bistros in HK island have much better food and service quality at a much more resonable price.

係條巷仔別有洞天的綠色小館確實有法國浪漫Feel,可惜只限門面。對街個窗望出去係街檔,一盞大光燈照住絕對唔會有浪漫感覺。座位好逼,用餐分兩輪絕對體會唔到法國閒情。一坐低就講定8:30要交檯,8點開始暗示埋單做下輪。支酒食水太深。除了牛肉Tart Tart 可以一試,Mussel無鮮味,麵包無誠意,鴨胸普通到唔普通。無下次。
