期待已久,book咗接近3個月終於嚟到食呢間位於灣仔嘅法式小餐館。呢到以精緻純正法國料理聞名,食物價錢圍繞$22-328價位,算好親民。Chicken Liver Parfait $108雞肝凍係經典嘅法式餐前小吃,再配以自製法式麵包薄片同酸甜红洋葱 ,creamy得嚟味道亦帶香濃Steak tartare $198牛肉他他有醃小黄瓜、酸豆、紅蔥及番茜。清新得嚟絕對有誠意,好食。Duck Breast $328終於嚟到呢到重頭戲鴨胸上枱了!鴨胸感覺油脂唔重,外皮煎得金黃香脆,配上蜜糖汁,再配上烤過嘅紅蘿蔔及紅蘿蔔薑泥,淋上以香濃雞湯、鮮甜香濃好食。Hand Cut Frites $88呢到嘅薯條份量大約係一個薯仔,以$88嚟講其實少貴,不過炸得外脆內軟,而且佢哋用嚟炸嘅油混到薯仔入面好香,不禁令人一口一口接住吃。可能只係好簡單嘅炸薯條,但成餐飯最令我深刻卻係呢個小食。Madeleines $22即叫即整,軟熟蓬鬆。

鴨胸感覺油脂唔重,外皮煎得金黃香脆,配上蜜糖汁,再配上烤過嘅紅蘿蔔及紅蘿蔔薑泥,淋上以香濃雞湯、鮮甜香濃好食。

Hand Cut Frites $88
呢到嘅薯條份量大約係一個薯仔,以$88嚟講其實少貴,不過炸得外脆內軟,而且佢哋用嚟炸嘅油混到薯仔入面好香,不禁令人一口一口接住吃。可能只係好簡單嘅炸薯條,但成餐飯最令我深刻卻係呢個小食。

油甘魚青提紅提切片煙燻茄子蓉的調味有點過濃,掩蓋了油甘魚本身的油香,好在魚肉鮮甜,底層的茄子蓉啖落有點似肉醬,淡淡的煙燻味配醬汁同吃,也算不錯。

炸得金黃的薯條酥脆不油膩,又是另一必吃之選,據說是來回炸兩次,而第二次回炸主要係用高溫將油份逼出,做成少油香脆的口感,正到不得了!

Rhubarb大黃貌似芹菜,首次吃以它作的甜品,口感清爽帶果香,微酸;底層係杏仁蛋糕,甜度不高,而旁邊甜甜的白醬,方便用以調整甜度。

很多食肆都有同一情況,就是由初段至臨近尾段的質素也讓人滿意,可去到咖啡部份就拖累了整體分數,但這裏的Latte卻相當不錯,雖然奶泡打得唔夠厚,但口感香滑、咖啡味濃,值得一試。

朋友同我補慶祝生日飯(雖然已經過左好耐😂)小店位於灣仔小巷裏面,店舖雖小但都好有水準。真係全部都好好食,唔怪得之前咁難book。平時多數食鵝肝,但係原來雞肝都可以整到有鵝肝嘅感覺👍🏻👍🏻非常欣賞生蠔嘅調味,食材本身都非常新鮮薯條用原隻薯仔炸,原汁原味鴨胸都做得非常juicy, sweet potato 少燶但都唔錯非常滿足的一餐,同埋性價比都唔錯疫情下比較容易預約,最後老闆仲特登出嚟多謝我哋嚟食飯, 希望佢可以捱過疫情,生意越早越好啦。

Best hand-cut fries I have ever had! ( ͡❛ ᵜ ͡❛) The honey madeleines were moist. I had made a reservation 1 ½ months earlier and I had high expectations on the duck and croquette… And those two dishes turned out to be just OK! But the environment is great and cozy. You can get some nice shots with the olive storefront. I do recommend this bistro if you like eating offals and oysters! Voilà.

It’s been a while since I last went to Jean May! Stuff that I stuck to ordering were the beef tartare ($188), chicken liver parfait ($98) and the madeleines though prices went up. Stuff that was new for me this time round included the mussel pasta made inhouse, pork cheek croquettes, boeuf beef. We were all pleasantly surprised with the pasta, first from the sheer size of the dish, and second from the savory taste that makes you want to keep going. For the meat dishes, croquettes were nicely fried and the beef was tender but nothing that would blow you away. If it wasn’t for the long wait, I would rock by for food all the time.

Worth the waiting! Booked again for next year, few months later. Love their dessert, personally have a sweet tooth. Wine is okay. Bread and butter is hot served and nice! Oyster and the shrimps are freshly served. Portions are good, just right so can try more dishes. Love the sticky pudding most, filling is really nice but sweet ❤️

Heard about this place for ages and was surprised to know bookings now have to be made 2 months in advance. Overall a good experience, great service and tasty dishes, but certainly not worth the hype or a 2-month wait, and very pricy for a casual, weekend lunch. Overall a good experience, great service and tasty dishes, but certainly not worth the hype or a 2-month wait, and very pricy for a casual, weekend lunch.

Choice of unlimited still/sparkling water at HK$20 per head. The starting bread and butter were both average, bread was cold and butter was just like margarine. Starters/snacks were pleasant. Nothing special about the terrine or Shimeiji frites, but beef tartare was well seasoned. Toasts on the side for the chicken liver and tartare were very greasy.


The real star was the duck, cooked perfectly with beautifully roasted carrots. Fish was average, and disappointing pasta - mussels were a bit sandy and pasta was undercooked.


Dessert of sticky date pudding was really rich, would have been better if there was less sauce. Much, much too sweet and underwhelming date flavour, but a good winter warmer.


Would recommend if you’re going for something casual but for a slightly more special occasion, though personally unlikely to revisit.

去年夏天開業的法式小館,直到今年夏天依然熱度不減、深受追捧。Jean May藏匿於灣仔小巷機利臣街裏,穿插在一路花草攤位之中,人見人愛的青草綠色門面,在還沒認識前已經放下食客和行人的防備。相比傳統法餐帶給人的難以親近的距離感,Jean May樸實而不失時髦的布置營造了一種歡迎和舒適的氛圍。菜單只有小小的A5一頁紙,選擇不多,每段時間會有略微調整和當日特別菜式。前菜選擇了生蠔,用腌漬小黃瓜、山葵和茴香作為輔料,加入意式黑醋和奶油,給原本清爽的蠔肉增添了味道和質感的層次。第一次在法餐裏吃到tapas風格的炸牛舌丸子,蘸羅勒青醬,外酥裏嫩。這裏的生牛肉(Steak tartare) 因為多了西芹、胡蘿蔔以及類似蛋黃醬的佐料而更像沙律,口感也較為稀疏和清新,對於不喜歡太重生肉味的人非常友好。主菜之一選擇了傳統法菜Duck a l』Orange, 用酸橙醬汁來烘托焗烤的鴨肉,搭配番薯蓉和表面烤成焦糖化的紅蘿蔔,帶給人甜蜜的滿足感。另一道墨魚肉醬汁扭指面(Squid ink cavatelli, squid ragu)也相當惹味,墨魚的鮮味不像蝦蟹那樣張揚,而是含蓄地傳達海味的鮮美,絲絲綿長,搭配

這裏的生牛肉(Steak tartare) 因為多了西芹、胡蘿蔔以及類似蛋黃醬的佐料而更像沙律,口感也較為稀疏和清新,對於不喜歡太重生肉味的人非常友好。

主菜之一選擇了傳統法菜Duck a l』Orange, 用酸橙醬汁來烘托焗烤的鴨肉,搭配番薯蓉和表面烤成焦糖化的紅蘿蔔,帶給人甜蜜的滿足感。另一道墨魚肉醬汁扭指面(Squid ink cavatelli, squid ragu)也相當惹味,墨魚的鮮味不像蝦蟹那樣張揚,而是含蓄地傳達海味的鮮美,絲絲綿長,搭配有厚度有韌勁的扭指面也恰到好處。

幾天前又到這裏吃了第二次的午飯,發現牛舌丸子和墨魚肉醬汁面已經從菜單上被替換了——看來每一次來都要把握機會,嘗試多一些樣式。

Jean May在法餐界估計就是那個「鄰家女孩」,像馬蹄蓮一般的清新。少了拘謹,多了隨意。少了繁復,多了輕松。

3rd times visit, thanks for my friends invited me, another always full house restaurant. Ordered a whole menu except the oysters. Highlight of the meal was the salmon, tender meat and the peas sauce was just on point, a low-key delicious dish. Very lucky to have gotten a last minute booking on a Saturday for lunch. Been here for a few times and have always loved the place because it was simple dishes done well.The pink prawns and steak tartare were very good and definitely worth keep coming back for. However, the duck was a bit disappointing as the meat was a little hard and the sauce had a too much bitter/burnt after taste.Overall still an enjoyable meal but I remember it being better in the past… 🤔
