I am not a big fan of meat source dishes, but today, coindentally, I ordered two of them...
Obviously, Lan Fong Yuen is trying to make new dishes e.g. after the mixed instant noodle, I've seen something called 2 colored "Gwei Lo" (foriegn) rice. This is on the menu. It consists of 2 sources -- Herbal cream source with seafood (white) & miced meat source (red) then some rice at the middle with an egg on it.
Although different herbs are being used in both sides, plus, the herbs being used for the cream source makes it really tasted like a European dish, I don't like it at all, yes, because of the herb. In contrast, I like the herb being used in the meat source, and I like the meat source not just because of this. There are two kinds of meat source I know of, both of them contains herbs, one or more kinds of meat, tomato... but one of them, in additional, has added something creamy to make it a bit mild (less sour), lighter in color and more tasty, subjectively speaking. You can tell by the color also, without adding any cream to the meat source, the color would be darker.
I went to another restaurant today EXP, EXP is using the 1st kind (no cream added). Supposingly, it doesn't matter, but unfortunately... please refer to my review on that...
