The Song Sao Fish Soup doesn’t even have fish—you might as well just call it thickened starch water.
They claimed they were out of plain rice, yet somehow they still had fried rice for sale.
We ordered a steamed fish, but it was saltier than the dried salted fish you’d buy at the market. The fish itself had enough flavor, yet they still drowned it in soy sauce.
The pine nut stir-fried vegetables were also too salty… and oddly served at a lukewarm temperature.
For some reason, the Dongpo pork came with rice at the bottom, but there wasn’t enough pork to go with it.
The most baffling thing? So many people were eating there—does Wai Fong really have no other food options left?
Strongly recommend improving the food quality.
