The Korean Fried Chicken hype is not seeing an end. Crazy crowds in Hong Kong does not mind queuing for hours just to get some Fried Chicken into their belly. Red Chicken, located at Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the to go list for Korean Fried chicken after Fairyland and Chicken HOF & soju. If you have been reading my blog, you know I simply cannot eat Korean Fried Chicken without spicy sauce. The sole reason that I ordered half original is because Cheon SongYi smacked on too many of the original ones in multiple episodes of You Who Came From The Stars that I wanted to try them without the spicy sauce. The KFC at Red Chicken is disappointingly bad. The skin was not very crispy, the meat was not juicy and not to mention the meat tasted a bit funny. The chilli sauce was not spicy enough in the spicy version as well. I was hugely disappointed. ChumChumMi was way WAY better!
The chicken gizzard was served on a sizzlingly plate and was a great dish to go with our soju! It was savoury with sharp basil aroma. The green peppers was hell spicy, it almost killed me when I had my first bite.
I have never had fish cake soup before and I felt in love! This was ordered by H's Korean Boss, Korean does know it all. The fish cake soup attacked your senses with a drooling aroma of bonito. The lovely sweet bonito soup was infused with white raddish and fish cake flavour. There are lots of veggies in the pot. Most of the fish cakes tasted amazing, but the pinkish meatball in the middle of the skewer tasted a bit weird, like a ball of flour cake.
