Despite being lazier than most of the people in the world, eventually I summoned up my courage to register an account and wrote my first review at OpenRice for two reasons.
First, nearly every time before I hanged out with my girlfriend, I had to check out this website to look for some awesome eateries so as not to be dubbed "Boring Egg" by her. Meanwhile, I discovered many fantastic reviews, which surprised me and reminded me how blissful I am to live in Hong Kong, a heaven with plenty of wonderful restaurants serving a wide variety of foods. I felt a bit selfish to merely take advantage of this platform without making any contribution to others. Therefore I have made up my mind to write something to express my humble and sincere comments. If some netizens can have a better day by going to my suggested ones, how meaningful my words will be !
Second, my girlfriend, who is a frequent surfer of this site, kept persuading me to create an account here. Occasionally, when I refused to do so, she dared to tease that I was like an illiterate, without the capability to convey ideas in writing . Okay...It is time that I should stand out to do something As she was born in April, I decided to name myself 四月男 , which I hope will not make you guys reminiscent of 毒男 or 港男. Haha... not to cause much boredom, following is my very first review.
Das Bier No. of diners: 2 Average cost per head : $150 Food quality: 9/10 Environment : 7/10 Service : 8/10 Value-for-money : 8/10 Overall rating : 8/10
It is located at the street right behind the HSBC building at Olympian City. Originally, we planned to go to Panda Burger to have our favorite roast pork belly burger, which should be the loveliest burger I have ever had. However, the eatery was filled with patrons at that time. We looked at each other woodenly and were not able to come up with a backup plan right away, so walking down the street to see whether we could come across any good dinning places. All of a sudden, our attention was drawn by a machine, with a couple of pig knuckles rotating inside. Along with the nice and amiable smile of a waitress who stood near the entrance, we had the consensus to give a try. And luckily, we ended up with our satisfied tummies.
Before going inside, we found something quite hilarious. Some guys put their glasses on a wooden plank, which was firmly affixed on a public metal barrier. I think it is very creative but wonder if it is legal or not.
There were various kinds of beer available in the menu as above. After hesitating for a while, I finally went for Erdinger Draught as somehow I have a special liking for any sorts of black beer. I thought it was huge and good value for money and my girlfriend admired the shape of the glass. The impression after my first sip was that the alcoholic proportion/flavor is mild and especially suitable for beer novices, including my girlfriend.

I chose Pork Knuckle and my girlfriend prefered Roast Chicken.
To be frank, the chicken was mediocre but the French fries was really amazing, which was more stiff and crispier than those I have ever had before. When we ate all French fires, we wondered why the portion was so small and would like to order one more .
I would say for certain that the pork knuckle was definitely the highlight of our dinner. Personally, I have a special craving for any kinds of pork knuckle, no matter whether it is done in Chinese or western styles. For tonight 's knuckle, apart from the deliciousness, I could sense the consideration provided by this eatery. Both the skin and the meat were cut into slices so that it could be tasted easily, without the need to worry how to have it gently in front of your boyfriend/girlfriend. The meat was juicy and tender. However, the reason why I highly recommend it and have to introduce it to every friend of mine is because of the crunchy skin. I really love it. I guess if you close your eyes and put it into your mouth, I am dubious whether you can figure out what it is instantly. I have a suggestion that both the meat and the skin should be eaten at the same time. If so, you can have different feelings simultaneously.
