Top-notch fine-dining place in Hong Kong It was my dad’s birthday in Halloween so instead of dressing up and go out for party, we had an exquisite dining experience at one of the fanciest fine-dining restaurants in Hong Kong - HUGO’s. I have to say, the entrance of this restaurant is not very grand. Having said that, it gives you a totally different feeling once you’ve stepped inside the restaurant. It was my dad’s birthday in Halloween so instead of dressing up and go out for party, we had an exquisite dining experience at one of the fanciest fine-dining restaurants in Hong Kong - HUGO’s. I have to say, the entrance of this restaurant is not very grand. Having said that, it gives you a totally different feeling once you’ve stepped inside the restaurant. The inside is dim, like most fine-dining places, which gives people a sense of calmness and warmth, complemented by sparsely placed candles and a high ceiling, the ambience is superb.
Food wise, you get to taste a range of top quality food ingredients prepared right in front of you by the chefs. We ordered caeser salad, beef tartare, lobster bisque, beef and a bottle of wine. I won’t go through the dishes one by one but to summarise, the quality is above average. To top off the experience, they even lit up fire right in front of you which is definitely the highlight of the night!
The service is also excellent. Staff are generally well-trained, polite, efficient and are knowledgeable of the dishes.
I would recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for a fancy place to celebrate birthday/anniversary etc. But do be mentally prepared that you’ll be spending a bit more here.
