I've heard lots of people talking about this store so I decided to go and try their ramen. When I arrived at the Causeway Bay store, I was not allowed to wait inside because my whole party wasn't here yet. It was so hot that day but the server still wouldn't let me enter the indoor waiting area at the store even though there's no line.
Mechanics of the store:
You will be seated at a 1-person booth with dividers on your left end right. Then you will get an order sheet to pick the richness of the soup, spiciness level, noodle stiffness and so on. I don't think you can pick a different soup base because there's only one. You can also pay more to add ramen toppings like black fungus, eggs, and order extra noodles. After you are done filling in your order, your server will take your sheet directly in front of you. After you've received your noodles, the server will close the blinds in front of you and let you enjoy your meal.
A regular noodle is $89 and comes with thin noodles, soup, special sauce, two pieces of pork and some scallion. I ordered my ramen with super stiff noodles and extra fatty soup.
Thumbs up to the soup base, their special sauce and water. Thumbs down to the ramen and pork. Noodle is too soggy even though I requested the stiffest kind. The pork was very lean that it literally has no fat. I was too disappointed because of all the hype. The amount you get is not worth the price. Their water is good though! It has no weird taste and you'll feel refreshed after drinking it. Apparently they used some special filtering method to make it odorless.
Oh and please check out their washroom. I found it very funny to see 10+ toilet paper roll holders on the wall, each with a roll in it.
