To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 一直都好想試下呢度D點心,但之前一見到門口的人龍-----心諗都係下次少人D再食啦﹗最近好中意同朋友仔一齊食點心,無論下午茶同夜茶都啱,於是今日諗住2個人黎食下野。開頭見到門口都好似幾多人,但原來都唔係,10分鐘左右就入得,GOOD啊!!我地點左蝦餃,鳳爪,馬拉糕,排骨飯招牌酥皮焗叉燒包。全部都好好味啊!! 蝦餃蒸得夠乾身又足料,馬拉糕鬆軟又香甜,叉燒包更加熱辣辣。賣相雖然同平時的差不多,但味道絶對係水準之作。佢地MENU上的點心款式不多,不過貴精不貴多啦,樣樣都做得有心機又熱辣辣,食得特別開心滿足!!!

今天遇到一對熱情的夫妻,看我們外來的,不但幫我們點菜,還分享他們的菜給我們吃,香港人熱情起來不輸南台灣吔,天冷人情暖~而當我要點黃沙豬潤腸時太太告訴我可以試下,不過上次她來吃的時候,是冷的,所以她覺得不好吃。後來上菜時剛捲好熱呼呼的腸粉,是我在香港吃過最好吃的腸粉。所以看來店內品管不優,吃飯還要看運氣。

吃到剩的就算你不走運啦,服務態度不好,茶水沒得選也不好喝,這些可能就是負評的原因。
不過對我來說這些都沒關係,好吃及價格不要漲就好了。
來香港玩的平民們,如果只有一間點心店可以選,一定要來吃添好運。
今天消費共127HK。

then lets talk about the food, it is good for that value of money, dim sum is dim sum, as long as they are served in hot bamboo container, they taste the same everywhere...

dont expect they have fancy seatings, teapot or services, they have nothing. they serve tea in a plastic bottle which i sense if i will get toxic from the reaction of hot water with plastic...u might found youself seating on plastic chair which you only find it from 'dai pei don'...the waiter/runner servies are extremely poor, dont even need to talk about the manner cos they hv none...

try it one time and thats enough for it...as for that star they got...i wonder how they manage that as food is so-so(value for money!), poor decor, service & long queue..got me thinking if they bought that star...

Dim Sum highlights:
- steamed fish & turnip dumplings were refreshing, dumpling skin was thin and chewy, I liked it!
- liver rice rolls 黃沙豬潤腸 were not bad, but I've had better in Tsuen Wan (品茗)
- roasted pork buns 酥皮焗叉燒包 were excellent. Normally I don't like to eat port but we (2 people only) had to place another order after finishing the first order!!
- traditional-style steamed sponge cake 馬拉糕 was excellent, fluffy and not too sweet. We finished it in 10 seconds (literally)!
- turnip cakes 蘿蔔糕 were not bad, lots of turnips with bits of Chinese sausages
- steamed shrimp dumplings 蝦餃 were ordinary, nothing special at all.
- fried glutinous rice dumplings 咸水角 were surprisingly well-executed. There was no oil stain on the paper underneath.
I want to book the VIP room next time to try the special dim sum dishes!!

Been there yesterday which is a Sunday, Tried to reserve a table last Tuesday via phone but the staff told me that booking is only available from Monday to Friday, and you have to walk in and queue during weekend. He also advised that I should not have to wait long for a table so ok, trust them, give them a try.A total of us 7 adults + a baby arrived the door at 11:30 am and start waiting for the table. And not until 12:45 pm we can be served to sit at a table which form by 3 small square tab

so ok, trust them, give them a try.

A total of us 7 adults + a baby arrived the door at 11:30 am and start waiting for the table. And not until 12:45 pm we can be served to sit at a table which form by 3 small square tables. Nothing comfortable can be mentioned and the total watiing time is 75 minutes !!!!


Food Quality : Average
but not much to choose from. Or since we already spent 75 minutes on waiting and we all turned into a hungry dog, whatever we put into our mouth was delicious


Environment : Waited for 75 minutes to squeez into a "Cafe de Carol" table ... It definitely not a place for gathering ..... you can only eat as fast as you can and leave for some fresh air outside.


Price : Truely speaking, it is a bargain.

一向怕迫怕等,所以一直未曾幫襯過添好運。是日順從長輩之意,門外輪候也要試一試。幸好等了不久便有位,否則評分更低。都怪我不久前才於上環試過同類型食店,有所比較就顯得此名店的水準只屬一般。先說糯米雞,最貴是它,最失望也是它。糯米飯「削削」的,點會叫好?!陳皮牛肉球表面正常,不過夾開便知未蒸熟,很生。喚來部長,他爽快換過一籠給我們。咬落牛肉幾滑,可惜欠陳皮味,有名無實。相反盅頭煎蛋牛肉飯的牛肉,有濃烈的果皮味。不過飯太乾太硬,壞了事。名物酥皮焗叉燒包,看上去扁扁的,並非漲卜卜。熱辣送上,其實都好難會難食,不過叉燒餡的味道又確是甜了些。黃沙豬潤腸就令人滿意,腸粉滑而豬潤剛熟。馬拉糕也頗鬆軟,味道亦不過甜。還吃了潮州粉果、咸水角及鳳爪,感覺都不錯。雖然整體點心水準未見突出,不過服務幾好,侍應及傳菜都有禮而且著緊,值得加分。
