Elderly priority policy, really?

There’s a sign outside the restaurant stating elderly and pregnant women have priority to be seated. We are a company of 2. One is an elderly. The other guest has not arrived but the waitress has been told that she would arrive in 2 mins. It was a hot summer day. A request was made by the elderly to be seated as he already got to the front of the queue while the other guest would arrive in 2 mins. The answer was no. The other guest has not arrived but the waitress has been told that she would arrive in 2 mins. It was a hot summer day. A request was made by the elderly to be seated as he already got to the front of the queue while the other guest would arrive in 2 mins. The answer was no. No flexibility at all whether you are 28 or 98 years old. All guests must be present to be seated. It should be noted the request wasn’t to jump the queue. The elderly already got the front of the queue and simply asked to be seated first while waiting for the other guest who would arrive in just 2 mins. But no no no. Couldn’t care less. Why bother with an elderly friendly policy then???

The food was mediocre. Rice was not soft enough. Soup was bland. Chicken meat was tasteless.

Overall disappointed with the dining experience, in particular the attitude of the waitress. Will never come again.
