Loads of variety for a vegetarian resto

I was really happy to have dining out back! We were craving Indian food that day so we stopped by Kailash Parbat on a Friday night. We like it here because the area is really spacious and the tables are quite roomy. It's hard to find places like that in TST. Tikki Chaat $80We started off with the Tikki Chaat -- which featured a spiced potato patty, covered in chickpeas, yogurt and to be honest, I don't know what the sauce (maybe a chutney?) or crispy bits were. But together it was really tasty!

But together it was really tasty! The potato 'Tikki' was definitely the highlight, it was packed full of flavour and really well seasoned. Everything on top complimented it nicely and I highly recommend trying this.

 Next came the Pav Bhaji, which had spiced mashed vegetables (I think mostly potato? Couldn't really tell) served with two soft buttered buns (Pav). The buns were really soft and fluffy, it was a great accompaniment to the mashed veggies (Bhaji) which had a lovely garlic, spiced flavour to it. Definitely worth a try!

 I'm personally a huge fan of Palak Panner (spinach gravy with cheese), so I have to order it every time I'm out at an Indian restaurant. I was a little disappointed with this one, whilst it was quite flavourful, it was overly salty. I don't remember this happening last time I was here so I hope it was just a one-time let down.

I thought the garlic naan was great! Not too thick, was nice and light. Would definitely choose this to pair with any curry, it was just unfortunate that the Saag Paneer was too salty. 

Overall, I like that although the whole menu was vegetarian, there was a large variety of dishes to choose and try. You won't even know that meat was missing from the menu! There are many things that I would definitely try next time, just hope that the overly salted curry doesn't repeat itself if I come again. I would also encourage everyone to try something other than just curry on the menu, I promise there are many yummy things to discover!
