beautiful venue, amazing food, very good service. I go there pretty often for dinner and it never disappoints me. Considering the hight quality of the food, location, service and atmosphere I can say that the value for money is high. since it's very popular booking a table is recommended.

Sunday brunch is one of the activities I look forward to during the week and the only reason I'm able to wake up on weekdays. So finding a good brunch destination is very important. My friend had booked a table for 1pm and we were automatically seated even though we were early. My friend had booked a table for 1pm and we were automatically seated even though we were early. The restaurant is split into two floors, the lift brings you to the upper floor but I think the main dining area is the lower floor. Anyway, that's where we were seated. Being 30F above on the island side, it gave us a spectacular view of Central.

Sunday brunch's menu consisted of an all you can eat salad and bread bar, a choice of around 5-6 mains, and dessert. For around $100+, you can add for free flow of house wine and champagne. (As I recall)

For my main course, I had the truffle spaghetti. You could clearly taste the truffle and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly and I would highly recommend this dish!

One of the other things that I highly recommend is the bread basket. My friend and I had so much bread that we almost forgot we had mains coming up! There are four to five choices to choose from and every one of them taste fresh from the oven and goes perfectly with the olive oil.

If you're looking for a relaxing place for brunch, Pirata is the place to be. The food is fresh and there is a wide variety. Credit to the servers too, they really tend to all your needs!

I went here yesterday for one of my girlfriends' 30th birthday dinner. Her boyfriend had made the reservation, and as I arrived first with my mother we were immediately seated and handed some menus. The place is bustling and loud, but the interior decorator did a great job of making the place feel cool, cozy, and casual. Off to a good start! I went here yesterday for one of my girlfriends' 30th birthday dinner. Her boyfriend had made the reservation, and as I arrived first with my mother we were immediately seated and handed some menus. The place is bustling and loud, but the interior decorator did a great job of making the place feel cool, cozy, and casual. Off to a good start! Pretty soon my friend arrived with her boyfriend, sister, and parents in tow and they were seated and we were given a low-down of the menu. We chose pirata based on tons of glowing reviews and also as it offered options for those with dietary restrictions. We had one vegan dining that evening and I myself am gluten-intolerant, so it's always a delight to see restaurants who make their menu inclusive of everyone! Unfortunately the service once we were ready to order began to deteriorate at an alarming rate. The head waiter informed us that all the dishes were meant to be shared, so those of us without dietary issues decided to order some pastas and appetisers to share, but asked that we could keep the vegan and gluten free meal separate since those would only be eaten exclusively by those who ordered them. He said it was no problem....after a pretty lengthy wait we were given some bread and olive oil to enjoy (which sadly I can't eat but no problem I am used to that!) and then were given our appetisers which again were heavy on the gluten, so I was stuck sipping water. Because dishes were coming out slowly it was already 8:30 or later by the time the appetisers and bread were cleared away. As I had arrived at 7:15 I was definitely ready for my pasta! The pasta started to come out around 9pm, but they brought out all the sharing plates first and everyone was a little disappointed in the serving sizes of the pasta. About one small spoonful of pasta for three people was afforded by each dish and there were 5 people sharing amongst the said dishes. The food was also not being praised and everyone was sort of picking at what they were given. My mom in particular was unhappy with her prawn pasta. Once everyone had more or less polished off their mains, my mother made a polite but firm iquiry as to where the gluten free and vegan food was since we had been seated for two hours and I had yet to have a single bite pass my lips. The waiter seemed annoyed and reminded us of their sharing policy. About 15 minutes later our pasta came and it looked beautiful and I was so excited. I took a bite of the ragu and immediately thought, this needs salt. Not a good sign for ragu! I ate the whole plate because I was insanely starving by this point, but honestly...the food was not good. It wasnt bad pasta, but it was under seasoned and nothing I would ever go back for. Adding to it that they forgot to bring out vegetables we ordered, and brought out a pasta dish not ordered, plus forgot an eggplant dish that had been ordered we all felt the service was lacking and the food sadly didn't make up for it at all. I can't say I will be back, but I felt like I wasn't welcome there anyway so I doubt they will mind. The place as I said was bustling, so there must be something good on that menu...but unfortunately it doesn't seem like we ordered it!!! Dishes we ate and so I can say I do not reccommend were: the prawn pasta, the beef ragu sauce (I did not have it with the liquid ravioli but with gf pasta), the truffle pasta, and some other carbonara type linguine which was the dish brought mistakenly. Anyway, all in all, two thumbs down. Service was poor, food was boring, and I ended up going home and cooking myself more food because I was still hungry after my small portion of pasta. Wish it had been a better experience. 
題外話/補充資料: Offers gluten free pasta but the wait time is considerably longer than for the regular pasta.

weekend brunch 應該係現代偉大發明之一吧放假瞓晏啲先食嘢,感覺好休閑好 relaxing 自己砌嘅 appetiser 😂cold cut 好多選擇,味道唔會好「死鹹」嗰種蛋餅好好,切到細細份等你可以試多啲唔同嘅嘢食~veggie sticks 好爽口清甜亦有唔同嘅 source 可以配搭 個蝦好新鮮彈牙 🦐有啲頭盤就好晒一碟碟咁攞雖然係 brunch semi-buffet,但擺盤都整得好靚main course 當然又係食牛 😋牛肉味唔夠濃郁,都 ok 嘅wagyu fettuccine,又係牛 😂闊條麵好食~食到勁飽嘅一餐~

Decided to go for dinner with 2 other friends on a busy Friday night. Our table was at 9:30pm and we were directly taken to our table on time. We were very glad that we didn't have to wait. On arrival, was greeted with a friendly receptionist and as well as the restaurant manager with a warm welcome.Once seated, our server went through the menu with us and also recommended the hot dishes.We weren't very hungry at that time so only ordered few dishes. We weren't very hungry at that time so only ordered few dishes. Glad we didn't order more because the dishes were big and most importantly, the food were fantastic!
We ordered a steak (Butcher's cut), Gnocchi and ravioli.

The butcher's cut was heavenly and is a must try, as it was perfectly cooked and cut with some salad with it.
The gnocchi was very soft and it melt on your mouth along with its cheese gravy.
Lastly, the ravioli is very delicious and was cooked to perfection.

So far, I love everything about Pirata. That includes the service, the ambience and most importantly the food!

I will definitely return with a big appetite and try more. I will also recommend Pirata to almost all of my friends and family.

第一味係lunch menu上面其中一個最貴嘅set -Tagliatelle with black truffle ($248),一上台已經見到好足料,而且食落真係好濃嘅truffle味!正!

The brunch is constituted of an antipasti buffet, a few starters, a main course and assorted deserts. 
The buffet's contents were all very tasteful and fresh. We had to wait a while to get the mozarella salad and the cold cuts as there were none left when we started out meal, but it was worth the wait. An excellent way to start the meal. 
The starters were very tasteful as well, subtle tastes and very Italian. 
The main courses were copious, fresh and everyone enjoyed their choices very much. 
The deserts were equally superb. 
All in all, it's an absolute win for Pirata, we know we will be back again. It's pricey (although not by HK brunch standards it seems) but well worth it. As a bonus they have a terrace on the 31st floor with a stunning view over Causeway Bay on one side, and Central on the other.

Soon After that, fat and ugly old man came, and strongly asked us to order alcohol, and once we said "we don't need for now", he expressed attitude of uncomfortable strongly. I have been to Pirata countless time!

For lunch, dinner, brunch,  a quick snack or just for a drinks and I have never been disappointed!

The design and atmosphere are really good and is well thought of, therefore you can go there for a romantic dinner, a friends lunch or a family brunch!

I have tried almost the entire menu and I have my favorites! I haven't come across a dishes that I did not enjoy.

The food is well presented and the concept allows you to share dishes which is pretty cool.

Drinks are really good too. As for the service it is probably one of the strongest point at Pirata, the all staff is friendly, attentive and smiley. They make you feel comfortable and special at the same time!

I like to take anyone visiting me in HK to this remarkable restaurant, I also enjoy going there with my husband (which proposed to me at Pirata).

Prices are super correct it's definitely great value for what you pay!

今年生日適逢家姐一家從英國回流返港,緊係一起慶祝兼相聚啦!由姨甥仔安排話想品嚐意大利莱,於是選左Pirata,一於去試試。餐廳位置於高層,分別頂樓是bar room, 沿着鏍縼樓梯行落樓下是餐廳,餐廳装飾好classic, 環境都舒適,我地坐在近窗口的位置,望出外面,景色算是不錯呢!,我地点了幾種自己喜歡的食物,試試味道如何M.M.M. 賣相不錯,一食就知是傳統意大利家庭式做法,牛肉與豬肉混合加入香草、洋葱粒、牛油,口感豐富,同番茄醬汁非常配合,味道細緻,值得一讚

友人帶我初到此餐廳食午餐, 之前看過這裡的評語不錯, 而且知道價錢在這區算是不便宜. 一坐下, 感到服務不錯, 一上到30樓, 然後由接待往下一層走. 來到下層感覺光猛, 給人很好的氣氛, 而且全部都是外國人為多.因為是半自助形式, 而他們也特別先送上前菜, 有些芝士及火腿, 不夠可以自己再添.出面還有不同的選擇, 我沒有拿太多, 只拿了些沙侓, 因為很期待着主菜.我點了個Pasta, Pappardelle with duck ragu, 味道很濃郁, 鴨沒有鴨酥味, 份量剛剛好.友人叫了這個The Butcher's Cut, 加了些醋在火箭菜上, 配上牛肉, 本來是香的. 今次的火箭菜太多了, 所以食到有點過頭了. 好像食牛肉沙律般.雖然最後的甜點咖啡不是太熱, 但正好我可以在倒完咖啡後食到雪糕, 而且咖啡香, 令整個午餐都很順利.

突然好想食傳統tiramisu,上網search“好味tiramisu”,發現到呢間餐廳,見唔少殿堂食家都讚好,去試試先!Vitello tonnato,冷盤吞拿好味道!帶酸味嘅mayonnaise醬沾滿吞拿片食,味道非常夾!再夾埋Sicilian caper berries,完全化解哂滯口感M. M. M. ( my mamma's meatballs),肉丸就反而一般,餐單寫用牛豬蛋造,肉質偏乾帶鞋口,中間有嚿好似麵粉嘅野硬硬地....個人唔太喜歡Pappardelle with duck ragu, 都幾咸,麵偏硬身,鴨肉鞋口、咸...食到呢度...個人開始down down地....加上坐high table,非常極度唔舒服。正常高度嘅餐枱得3張共12個位,6:30黎到俾人坐左...一係就矮櫈矮枱,要彎哂腰食有點辛苦......The butchers' cut,主菜黎啦~好大堆頭嘅牛!肉夠稔,但唔係好重牛味,反而有一陣陣蘇味我係為tiramisu黎嘅滿心歡喜期待住,但係可能我期望太高啦芝士味唔夠,酒味唔香,咖啡味亦一般...唯有飲番杯咖啡平衡番啦.....唔錯

食到呢度...個人開始down down地....
加上坐high table,非常極度唔舒服。
正常高度嘅餐枱得3張共12個位,6:30黎到俾人坐左...一係就矮櫈矮枱,要彎哂腰食有點辛苦......

突然想起上一個情人節很想念那個晚上 Pirata帶給我們的感覺Pirata在大樓上 本以為他要帶我到樓上cafe但發現他很細心的為我選了一間Tiramisu很好吃的餐廳進去Pirata 環境暗暗的 但十分熱鬧 不少外國人Happy Hour後帶著酒杯來吃晚餐桌子放得蠻近的 但我們都被帶到四人的位置Appetizer: 我們選了Mussle Pot 很鮮甜 我們也飲了幾口湯Main: Tagliolini with Black Truffle 上菜時很驚喜 整片整片的BlackTruffle 但很奇怪 吃下去和嗅起來都沒Black Truffle的香味Main: The Butchers' Cut 實在太好吃了 牛非常嫩 我們兩人吃得很撐 依然堅持要把它吃完Dessert: Tiramisu 很滑的Tiramisu 酒味較重 配上底下裝飾的木頭 這甜品真的很漂亮

好幾年沒有參加過Restaurant Week了,這次恰巧踫上我的大假,無聊著在電郵看到了通知,查看了也找到一兩家想試的餐廳,其中一家便是Pirata。這家餐廳開了快兩年,一直聽過不少朋友推薦,也有聽過負面的評價。不過很多事以訛傳訛,可以被誇大十倍。所以不管別人說什麼,自己未親身體會不能盡信。這次就訂了座午餐來一探虛實。我們訂了12點正,早了4分鐘到達。這裡以前的經理曾給我們名片,名片上寫是29樓,我們也按此在29樓出升降機。但升降機門甫打開就有一位廚房員工阻止我們並很粗聲的叫我們上30樓,到達30樓那接待處的小姐也一直緊繃著眉頭說他們未開始午市。我們一直站在升降機門前等,到有更多客人上來她才叫我們先隨便坐著等。不久終於有人帶我們走樓梯到29樓坐下,Restaurant Week的午餐($198)包括意式自助頭盤、四選一的主菜和二選一的甜點。點菜後先來一籃麵包,有法式長棒、黑麥包和酸種麵包,在Buffet Bar有供再取,但麵包冷冷的也不覺很鬆軟,一籃已足夠有餘。我們吃了一半侍應才上前來問我們要不要黑醋和橄欖油。自助頭盤就在吧檯上,芝士和凍肉方面款式不多,兩款火腿看上去皆乾巴巴的,咬下

自助頭盤就在吧檯上,芝士和凍肉方面款式不多,兩款火腿看上去皆乾巴巴的,咬下當然也沒什麼油香。芝士也只是兩款,一硬一軟,但光吃有點納悶,如果有點乾果伴著以甜味中和一下,芝士和凍肉就不會顯得只有一味的鹹。

Bresaola 是風乾牛肉,肉質瘦而軟,切得薄薄的,入口油潤,不俗。

大蝦沙律外觀本來就不吸引,吃一口,這蝦還真死得冤枉,犧牲了給人類弄好吃的,最後就換來那麼一片沙律醬打在身,白糟蹋了。

沙律方面,菊苣菜沙律跟藍芝士和核桃搭配,味道都被藍芝士盡搶風頭。菠菜沙律混了車厘茄、巴馬臣芝士片和核桃,菠菜沒什麼調味,要自己多添沙律醬。腰豆沙律配上紅洋蔥和吞拿魚,比前兩者食味好,但也未能在味蕾留下一個深刻印象。還有我沒有吃的什菜沙律和火箭菜沙律,兩款都沒先混合醬汁的,稱之為什菜比沙律更貼切。火箭菜一片綠中有變黃了的,看到也不開胃。兩款Bruschetta,蕃茄的一款蕃茄跟麵包吃著像是兩種分開的食物,唯一是蕃茄算新鮮。Coleslaw的一款是有醬把麵包和什菜絲抓起來,但醬又稍微多了點。

吃過一碟頭盤,侍應沒有問過我們還會不會再吃頭盤便把吃頭盤用的刀叉收去,反正沒有值得回味的,我們也盼著主菜會好吃點兒。主菜美祿要吃牛,選了The Butcher's Cut Flank steak, Rocket, tomato。牛排選位脅腹,肉質纖維為粗狀,故餐廳也是把它先切片再者上桌。我們要了Medium Rare但牛肉較像是Medium,稍微煮過了頭。肉質有嚼頭,也帶一陣炭燒香。不過可能是因為上頭放了火箭菜和車厘茄的沙律,加上以木板盛載,牛排略略減溫,要是再暖熱一點食味想是會更佳。

我則要了Lasagna Beef ragu, besciamella, parmesan。小時候看加菲貓,也嚷著要吃千層麵,但記憶中並未在街外吃過很好吃的千層麵。這裡的熱騰騰上桌,表面滿佈烤得焦脆的芝士,但切開來原來只有三層麵。那黏起麵條的白汁味道豐富,跟免治牛肉搭配起來甚香,比我們自家製用Ricotta Cheese更油膩邪惡。可惜只有三層麵,醬汁和牛肉也頂多能夾雜在三層麵之間,口感很單薄,勝在切開也不會塌下,我們還是寧願吃小一點但高一點的千層麵。

兩款甜品我們各要了一份,先來Cafe affogato, Vanilla Ice cream, regular coffee,先用匙試了點特濃咖啡,味道非常一般。雲呢拿雪糕裡頭有一點點雲呢拿籽,看上去是不錯的貨色。可能因此成本便高,所以份量特別的少,加上送上來時已是半融的狀態,咖啡一倒下去,雪糕便融得只剩下一小口。把雪糕吃光,那杯沒有餘溫的奶啡貌似嘔吐物,實在嚥不下,只得白白浪費了。

另一款甜品是Panna Cotta Home-made raspberry coulis, fresh raspberry,但上來一顆紅桑子都沒有。紅桑子醬倒是吃得出是真材實料的用紅桑子煮出來,酸甜沒帶藥水味。Panna Cotta幼滑,乳香不算很濃,一般。小小一份我們兩人分著吃也吃剩了。

我們點菜時還要了一瓶有氣礦泉水,又是我最不喜歡的San Pellegrino (大概Perrier現在太貴?很少餐廳用),侍應幫我們倒光有氣水把瓶子拿開了,我們就沒有再多點一瓶。本來相安無事的,但可能San Pellegrino真的太不濟?後來有三位侍應都相繼誤把自來水添到我們杯內混到有氣水中,其中一位更是經理級的。他們發現的時候尷尬萬分,不住向我們道歉,我們也不知好氣還是好笑。及後結帳時他們並沒有收我們礦泉水的錢,是有氣水不收錢還是免了我們的單,也無從稽考了。

看到他們平常的午市菜單,以我們選的主菜計原來賣$248。食物除了主菜好一點,頭盤感覺敷衍,甜點就有將貨就價之嫌。我吃過不少半自助午餐,這頓算是數一數二的差。侍應黑面的為多,跟餐廳冷調的裝飾很一致,而且他們好像沒有受過訓練似的,亦沒有明確的分工。我們從前認識的經理也轉工了,是它們公司的員工待遇很差嗎?我不知道,我只知香港意大利餐廳多的是,沒必要再來上賊船。

送上枱時,我以為是兒童餐..份量有點小..自家製麵條彈牙有嚼勁,紅蝦仔個子小小鲜甜爽口,義大利青瓜青脆,其實味道很好,只是份量稍為多一半更讓人感覺物有所值.

史上第一個發明心太軟Chocolat Fondant的是法國巧克力師Jacques Torres或是美國廚Jean-Georges Vongerichten?衆説紛紜,各執一詞;不過唯一可以肯定是正宗心太軟是不含麵粉,只有巧克力,蛋,糖和牛油.
端上來的Chocolate 72% Fondant巧克力味道香濃,伴以香草雪糕黑白絕配,不用再多加形容吧..

另外點了小孩套餐給兩名幼童享用,頭盤是什麼,有點記不清楚,看來是Classic Croquete炸芝士薯茸火腿的東西蘸茄汁..相信頗為香口,小孩子三扒兩撥便清光了.

媽咪order時要求不加basil,怕味道太强烈小孩受不了,結果只有少許蕃茄茸,簡約得極致..

甜點:Vanilla ice cream
雪糕,那個孩子不愛?

這頓晚飯在歡樂聲,和喧鬧聲中渡過..只盼望隣桌客人多多包涵...我們走後,大家可以重拾安寜鳥..
